PRAYER EMAIL - APRIL 23

Greetings, "And David said, What have I now done?  Is there not a cause?" I Samuel 17:29 A day of prayer is called for, and is now upon us for tomorrow, April 24.  'What have I now done?'  I have called for SBC churches, pastors and members to cry out to God specifically on this day.  Some would say, 'should we not call out every day?'  Absolutely!   And praise and blessed be God for those that do occupy their secret closets every day, praying continually and without ceasing.   But this is a special day of calling to the body of Christ to assemble and make an intentional day, times and effort to be houses of prayer and a people of prayer.  For the reality of our day is that far too many neglect and forsake their secret prayer closets; and far too many of our churches have no corporate prayer weekly or monthly.   Now they will tout that they pray; and they classify that by opening and closing in prayer; but we are talking about prayer times that teaches us how

PRAYER EMAIL - 4/16

Greetings, ". . . if ye can find a man. . . O Lord, are not Thine eyes upon the truth?  Thou hast stricken them, but they have not grieved; Thou hast consumed them, but they have refused to receive correction:  they have made their faces harder than a rock; they have refused to return."  Jeremiah 5:1 - 9 What a passage!  It is a mirror reflection of our current plight.  We are nearing the end of our nation. Time in the hour glass is draining down to the last sands.  And all the signs of the times upon us have largely gone unheeded.  Far too many are seeking for things to 'return to normal.'  But that will never happen, it is time to seek the Lord.  It is time for the church to become houses of prayer and for God's people to become men and women of prayer.   Their are several passages of Scripture where God looks for a man.  Here in verse 1, 'seek and see if ye can find a man. . .'  a man that is doing rightly before God.   What a blessing when God can say

BROKEN BEFORE THE THRONE - About Tab

BLOGS A Word - Dan Biser blog - this blog is a devotional/commentary working to cover every verse in the Bible;  this blog started off as a means to do 40 Lenten devotionals for church members;  It was 40 verses found throughout Scripture for a devotional emphasis.  Then the Lord led me to start writing some of my favorite verses in the Bible that God had spoken and impacted me with.  Then I looked at expanding by trying to do one verse from every book of the Bible (66);  and then I pursued do look at doing one verse from every chapter in the Bible (1,189).   Currently I got to the place, that I was no longer satisfied with one verse per chapter, but was led to begin with doing every verse.   Other great saints, like Matthew Henry, and numerous others did the whole Bible.  I am currently in Jeremiah, having largely completed most of Isaiah.  It is a life long pursuit.     Dan Biser blog - danbiser.blogspot.com - Apart from A Word blog, which was my main focus of writing and saving my w

A CALL TO PRAY - SBC - APRIL 24

Greetings, "And let it be, when thou hearest the sound of a going in the tops of the mulberry trees, that then thou shalt bestir thyself:  for then shall the Lord go out before thee, to smite the hosts of the Philistines."   II Samuel 5:24 Never before, in our life time, has there been so much emphasis on prayer and prayer initiatives across the body of Christ.  Many different prayer leaders have testified that they have never seen the activity of prayer from the church and individuals, like what is happening today across the US.  We have seen and heard from many SBC pastors, churches and prayer leaders the same testimony.  Thank God for all this!  And with this unprecedented prayer happening, should SBC miss the next move of God for revival and spiritual awakening?   If we are starting to hear 'the sound of a going in the tops of the mulberry trees'; then let us bestir ourselves, rouse ourselves up and come before the throne of grace, to obtain His mercy and find Hi

A CALL TO PRAYER - SBC - APRIL 24

Greetings, "A CALL TO PRAY - SBC"   April 24; 9 AM (EST) - 9 PM via live stream; THEME/PURPOSE: The hour is late for our nation and for the church in North America.  SBC churches, pastors and servants are struggling with numerous issues.  Our nation is plundering under Romans 1, 'being given over to reprobate minds.'  And as the church goes, so goes the nation.  A Divine moment is what is needed from God alone.  These Divine moments are found when God's people set themselves to pray.  Many SBC churches do not have a corporate prayer time; many pastors struggle and have confessed, 'I have no prayer life'; and far too many SBC members struggle with their own prayer life in their secret closets.   This 'Call to Pray - SBC' is to set forth the message, once again, "it's time to pray and seek the Lord"; 'for who knows if He will repent and leave a blessing behind Him.'    We are setting forth the call from the Word of God and thro

Prayer Email - April 8

Greetings, "Who is he that saith, and it cometh to pass, when the Lord commandeth it not?"  Lamentation 3:37 What a great and powerful verse!   A verse that sets in front of us again the importance of everything in our service to Him, and especially our prayers unto Him.  For unless the Lord commands it, not one group, individual can bring it to pass.  It is that which God ordains and speaks from His heavenly throne that brings it to pass.   That phrase in the KJV is numerous throughout Scripture, ' and it came to pass'.    Now beloved, as we center in on these days of where we are and what is getting ready to come to pass, it is as needful to hear from Him.  For generally, God reveals 'what is getting ready to come to pass'.  And I'm not talking about all the false prophets who said "God told them", and then their words fall to the ground.  I'm talking about those that God speaks to and God refuses to let their words fall to the ground.   W

PRAYER EMAIL - APRIL 2

Greetings, "How long shall I see the standard, and hear the sound of the trumpet?" The Lord is pronouncing, here early in this prophetic book of Jeremiah that He is sending forth the army to destroy them.  It is not if, God sends them; but when He sends them.  It is a certainty; an absolute from God, "I will make this whole land DESOLATE" v. 27.   And the prophet has declared, to the people for years, yea for decades; and God has sent His prophets, rising up early and sending them for centuries.  How gracious and merciful is God's longsuffering, with His Own people.    But now justice and judgement shall come forth and fulfill the will of the Father upon them, and upon the land that they have defiled.   To see and hear the onslaught of God's judgement against a nation and against a people, is set before me.  Over a decade and for this entire century, thus far, we have seen and heard the remedial judgements from God against our nation.  But largely there has

SBC - A DAY OF PRAYER - APRIL 24

Greetings, "My house shall be a house of prayer. . . " "I give myself unto prayer" "Behold, he prayeth" Our nation is continuing to see a rise in evil, unlike we have ever seen or heard of before.   And the church is continuing to shrink and struggle to answer this great need.   Many of us know, that there is no answer unless the Lord send a revival to His church, and a spiritual awakening unto the nation.  There are many movements of prayer happening to encourage this and seek for this; God bless all these efforts.  Brethren, our own beloved SBC, is in a struggle of its own.   Stats and numbers reflect our great need of a move of God upon our pastors, churches and SBC entities.  And we know that such a move of God always comes in answer to prayer. We have set April 24, 2021, as a "Day of Prayer for the SBC".   And because your ministry involves this same passion and pursuit you are being asked to join for this day of prayer to SBC.  We are seek
