A Word - Dan Biser blog - this blog is a devotional/commentary working to cover every verse in the Bible;  this blog started off as a means to do 40 Lenten devotionals for church members;  It was 40 verses found throughout Scripture for a devotional emphasis.  Then the Lord led me to start writing some of my favorite verses in the Bible that God had spoken and impacted me with.  Then I looked at expanding by trying to do one verse from every book of the Bible (66);  and then I pursued do look at doing one verse from every chapter in the Bible (1,189).   Currently I got to the place, that I was no longer satisfied with one verse per chapter, but was led to begin with doing every verse.   Other great saints, like Matthew Henry, and numerous others did the whole Bible.  I am currently in Jeremiah, having largely completed most of Isaiah.  It is a life long pursuit.    

Dan Biser blog - danbiser.blogspot.com - Apart from A Word blog, which was my main focus of writing and saving my work.  I started this blog in 2011, to document all my prayer emails, articles, and bible studies.  There are numerous word and phrase studies from my bible readings.  Two of the largest is those that I documented of, "I will's of God"; and The Activity of God in each book of the Bible.    Other blog posts are the numerous prayer emphasis and calls to prayer that has been shared over the years with many prayer and spiritual leaders.  All letters and posts I have written and shared from this blog and on any issues of my ministry.  In 2020, I stopped this blog; and began a 2nd blog.  

Dan Biser blog II - danbiserii.blogspot.com - this is the second blog of my personal writings and especially 'The Activity of God' in each book of the Bible.   Prayer emails, writings and studies on prayer and Bible subjects.   This is the active blog for my ministry.

Broken Before the Throne is a prayer ministry that the Lord birthed in Dan Biser.  The Lord called Dan into the ministry, to be a pastor, at the age of 16.  He began to do pulpit supply after graduation from high school and the family relocated into WV.  Dan was called to his first church in Petersburg, WV at the age of 19.   Dan has served churches in WV, KY, and IN.  

The Lord began to do a new work in Dan's life and ministry apart from pastoring local congregations, in the ministry of prayer.  God Divinely placed TW Hunt into his life, to teach and instruct on the discipline of prayer.  Through TW, and many other open doors of prayer and its impact on Christians and the church, led Dan to pursue those that had seen prevailing prayer in revivals and places of God's mercy drops.  Learning that any move of God always came/comes from someone that God ordained to pray, so as to prevail for His kingdom to come, and His will to be done.   

Dan met many of those instrumental in the Canadian Revival.  Dr. Dennis Kinlaw of the Asbury Revival, taught him greatly on prevailing prayer and that revival of Asbury in 1970.  And out of the individual praying and prevailing for their own remote life, family and community, God could take a group of prayer warriors and change a region, a nation and a world.  Biographies of great praying saints, also contributed to this fire that God birthed within Dan, to seek to become a 'man of prayer'.   Biographies of Praying Hyde, Charles Finney, JO Fraser, David Brainerd, etc.; and books instructing on prayer by Andrew Murray and EM Bounds are treasures not to be left unmentioned in teaching on prayer.  

With this hunger to see and know real, prevailing, kingdom moving prayer, the Lord moved Dan to set meetings to call the church together to hear and learn and pray.  Numerous prayer conferences like Keswick, and Sialkot from years ago, prevailed and birthed great moves of God.  And left the question, 'why not again? why not now?'   And these prayer conferences took on the name, "Broken Before the Throne".  Out of these prayer conferences, saints impact on Dan and numerous Divine moments, God has led us to continue to seek to make the church a house of prayer and God's people, men and women of prayer.

100 HOURS OF PRAYER - DEC. 2023

Prayer Email - 100 Hours of Prayer for SBC - III

Greetings, "men ought always to pray, and not to faint."  Luke 18:1  In the last month, we have had a Solemn Assembly for our local churches; followed by '100 Hours of Prayer' for the local churches & many of you, my prayer partners on this prayer email joined us.  And now we come to this last protracted time of prayer, 100 Hours of Prayer for SBC.  God sets His people to pray for His purposes and His will to be done.  And yet, prayer is hard to find among the churches today.  Many know they should pray, but refuse to make time.  Many desire to pray better, but have no teaching on how to pray.  Neither are they around seasoned prayer warriors that can impart what they have learned.  And much of the evil and wickedness of today in our nation, cities and homes, is because, we, as God's people have ceased praying.
