SBC - A DAY OF PRAYER - APRIL 24

 Greetings,

"My house shall be a house of prayer. . . "
"I give myself unto prayer"
"Behold, he prayeth"

Our nation is continuing to see a rise in evil, unlike we have ever seen or heard of before.   And the church is continuing to shrink and struggle to answer this great need.   Many of us know, that there is no answer unless the Lord send a revival to His church, and a spiritual awakening unto the nation.  There are many movements of prayer happening to encourage this and seek for this; God bless all these efforts.  Brethren, our own beloved SBC, is in a struggle of its own.   Stats and numbers reflect our great need of a move of God upon our pastors, churches and SBC entities.  And we know that such a move of God always comes in answer to prayer.

We have set April 24, 2021, as a "Day of Prayer for the SBC".   And because your ministry involves this same passion and pursuit you are being asked to join for this day of prayer to SBC.  We are seeking to do a live stream of prayer from 9 AM (EST) - 9 PM (EST).   Throughout the day we would have you join us to share the Word of the Lord and to lead in a prayer of your heart for the work of the Lord.   Each speaker will have 40 - 45 minutes to share the Word and then lead focused prayer for specific prayer targets and/or Scriptures.    

For some, you may preach 40 minutes and conclude with 5 minutes of prayer.  Others may preach or teach out of the Word for 25 minutes and then lead prayer points for the remaining 20 minutes or so.   Others may walk through a passage of Scripture and after each verse of emphasis, then stop and pray into that.  Most of us have worked together before and I trust the Spirit to lead us into a theme of 'oneness' for us to seek the Lord during these most needful days.  We are seeking and asking the Lord for a move and outpouring of His Spirit upon us.   

Now for many of you, your schedule may not allow for you to join us, via live stream on April 24.  But the beauty of technology is that you can pre-record your message and your leading in prayer targets and join us that day.   I am asking you to seek the Lord and join us for this day to set before our beloved SBC churches this needed message -- 'It's time to seek the Lord".   

Our theme, will be, to call SBC pastors and churches and membership that we are:
1.  To become houses of prayer;
2.  To become men and women of God in prayer;

Please seek the Lord about joining us.  Time is short to promote and prepare; but the hour of our need has never been greater.   Brethren, let's come together to call the people of the Lord to pray like never before.    'Who knows if He will repent and turn and leave a blessing behind Him."

100 HOURS OF PRAYER - DEC. 2023

Prayer Email - 100 Hours of Prayer for SBC - III

Greetings, "men ought always to pray, and not to faint."  Luke 18:1  In the last month, we have had a Solemn Assembly for our local churches; followed by '100 Hours of Prayer' for the local churches & many of you, my prayer partners on this prayer email joined us.  And now we come to this last protracted time of prayer, 100 Hours of Prayer for SBC.  God sets His people to pray for His purposes and His will to be done.  And yet, prayer is hard to find among the churches today.  Many know they should pray, but refuse to make time.  Many desire to pray better, but have no teaching on how to pray.  Neither are they around seasoned prayer warriors that can impart what they have learned.  And much of the evil and wickedness of today in our nation, cities and homes, is because, we, as God's people have ceased praying.
