100 HOURS OF PRAYER - DEC. 28 - JAN. 1 - PRAYER TARGETS & HELPS

Greetings, Several have asked about praying during these 100 Hours of Prayer, if there is a theme or suggestions to pray over and through.  As I always do for these extended prayer times, I am grateful for those that jump in and help fill the time slots.  But we do want to build an agreement in prayer over certain prayer targets and God's agenda and will.  So here is a suggestion to consider when you enter in to your prayer time.  Over the last 18 months, we have spent Thursday night doing, "Hour of  Prayer".  IN which we have covered Bible verses, and prayer targets to cover a whole hour in prayer.  The hour we divided into 3, 20 minute sections.  Worship - Confession - Petition 1.  Worship Bible verses describing the Names of God; the attributes of God and the works and deeds of God; we also learned to sit in silence and wait upon the Lord for moments before we start to speak His praise, glory and honor; 2.  Confession 4 areas of confession of sins - Nation; Church; Fa

PRAYER EMAIL - 100 HOURS OF PRAYER - 2021

Greetings, A CALL TO PRAYER 100 HOURS OF PRAYER - 2021 "And it came to pass when the Lord would take up Elijah into heaven by a whirlwind. . . And Elijah said unto Elisha, Tarry here, I pray thee; for the Lord hath sent me. . . And Elisha said unto him, As the Lord liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. . . And Elijah said unto him, Elisha, tarry here, I prayer. . . . And Elijah said unto him, Tarry, I pray thee here. . . Ask what I shall do for thee before I be taken away from thee.   And Elisha said, Pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me."  II Kings 2:1 - 14 It is mind blowing that the prophet Elijah, asks of Elisha to tarry here, to wait.  Three times, in 3 different places he bids him tarry behind.  And all 3 times, Elisha refuses, knowing that this was the day and the time that Elijah must be carried away from the earth.  If he tarried in any of these places, he would miss what was about to happen.  And upon the last time he was asked

PRAYER EMAIL - 100 HOURS OF PRAYER

Greetings, "But prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him."  Acts 12:5 There are several directives to our prayer life, as the church, and as individual Christians.  And we thank God for all of them in the Scriptures.  We are to ask, confess, praise, worship, believe, seek, find, etc.  One of the struggles of the prayer life within the church and individuals has been this confession, 'I''m not consistent.  My prayer life is fading and struggling.'   As we prepare to close this year it is  with this continual encouragement, 'Finish strong; so you can start the New Year strong'. This finishing strong and starting the new year strong is by being steeped in the prayer life.  Many have already confessed of their struggles over this last year of 'hit and miss' prayer times; churches still struggle to implement a corporate time of prayer each month; and many simply miss the blessing of being alone with God.  But, we rejoice in th

THE ACTIVITY OF GOD IN THE BIBLE - THE BOOK OF ACTS - CHAPTERS 15 - 28; PART II

The Activity of God Going through the Bible, book by book, chapter by chapter, verse by verse, phrase by phrase and word by word to give attention to the following: --the Names of God; --the word & deeds of God; --the sayings of God; --the attributes of God; Too often the churches weakness and the Christians weakness is found in this one sin, 'we do not know God'.  We have not studied the Bible, nor Him to learn more of Him.  Seeking that this might be a help for myself and others in this pursuit that each of us 'may grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord. ACTS Chapter 15 15:1      False teaching of salvation by church; 15:2   God's church to deal with beliefs; 15:3      And being brought on their way by the church, they passed through Phenice and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the Gentiles:  and they caused great joy unto all the brethren.        God's church; God's conversion of the Gentiles declared; God's church has great joy among all the

PRAYER EMAIL - 100 HOURS OF PRAYER

Greetings, "And being in an agony He prayed more earnestly;. . . "   Luke 22:44 David said, 'Is there not a cause?"  And with what we are facing, should we not be in agony and pray more earnestly?   do you know there are still those who see and hear the things around them in their churches, community and cities and still would ask, 'what things?'  'why should we be in agony?'   Do they really have eyes to see and hears to hear?    Christ agony that caused Him to pray more earnestly, was the weight of sin and the world upon His shoulders.   We can not grasp the fullness of this burden upon Him in that hour.    For us, we should understand that weight of our sins; our neglects; our failures; our transgressions against Him, His kingdom, HIs Name and His will and ways.   WE can thank Him for His forgiveness and cleansing blood that pardons all those; but we still know the consequences of such sin.  We know in our lifetime all that we have done against Hi
