 Greetings, "But ye have not returned unto Me" - Amos 4:6, 8, 9, 10, 11 Here we are at the close of the year, and what a year!   Record setting judgements and record setting means to set forth the great need to return to the Lord.   And yet, overall for the masses of our nation, there is still no move to reconcile with the Lord God, Who gave us and blessed us as a nation in so many ways.   There is no real measure of the church seeking to cast off its carnal lifestyle and unholy ways and doings and return to the Lord.   And here in this chapter 4 of Amos, God speaks and says: I took away your food, gave you famine; I took away your water, gave you drought conditions; I took away your crops, and gave you food shortages; I took away your health and sent you pestilence, severe as in Egypt pestilence; I overthrew your cities and destroyed places and people, and gave you death, dying and destruction; And in the midst of all those judgements against His Own people, still they would

 DOINGS: Leviticus 18:3 , "After the doings of the land of Egypt, wherein ye dwelt, shall ye not do:  and after the doings of the land of Canaan, whither I bring you, shall ye not do:  neither shall ye walk in their ordinances." Deuteronomy 28:20 , "The Lord shall send upon thee cursing, vexation, and rebuke, in all that thou settest thine hand unto for to do, until thou be destroyed and until thou perish quickly; because of the wickedness of thy doings, whereby thou hast forsaken Me." Judges 2:19 , "And it came to pass when the judge was dead, that they returned, and corrupted themselves more than their fathers, in following other gods to serve them, and to bow down unto them, they ceased not from their own doings, nor from their stubborn way." I Samuel 25:3 , "Now the name of the man was Nabal; and the name of his wife Abigail:  and she was a woman of good understanding, and of a beautiful countenance:  but the man was churlish and evil in his doing

  The Activity of God Going through the Bible, book by book, chapter by chapter, verse by verse, phrase by phrase and word by word to give attention to the following: --the Names of God; --the word & deeds of God; --the sayings of God; --the attributes of God; Too often the churches weakness and the Christians weakness is found in this one sin, 'we do not know God'.  We have not studied the Bible, nor Him to learn more of Him.  Seeking that this might be a help for myself and others in this pursuit that each of us 'may grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord.  Greetings, "Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly:  Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather. . . Let the priests, the ministers of the Lord, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare Thy people, O Lord. . . "  Joel 2:15 - 19 These are unprecedented times, for anything that we have seen or experienced over the last 1/2 century.   Times in history have revealed such moments, that went on for weeks, months; but all of our judgements from God have been generally on 1 day, then recovery; or a short time frame.   But what we have seen this year, has been a long, protracted period of judgements on many fronts, lasting almost the whole year.   From the covid, to the riots, to the protests, to all the other daily judgements on our nation and homes.   And yet, the church, largely trying to deal with everythi

 Greetings, "Thy way and thy doings have procured these things unto thee:  this is thy wickedness because it is bitter, because it reacheth unto thine heart."   Jeremiah 4:18 ". . . Thou hast stricken them, but they have not grieved; Thou hast consumed them, but they have refused to receive correction:  they have made their faces harder, than a rock; they have refused to return.. . . for they know not the way of the Lord, nor the judgment of their God."  Jeremiah 5:3 -4 "Wherefore doeth the Lord our God all these things unto us?. . . "Jeremiah 5:19 For the first 20 years of this new century, we have seen record and historic judgement upon our nation for our abominations against God.   Almost every fabric of our society has seen the judgements of God against it.   From natural disasters, to school shootings, to record setting suicides, we have gone from a safe haven of ease to a nation of destruction and death.   Over this past year, of 2020, it has culmina

Yet return unto Me, saith the Lord"  Jeremiah 3:1 "And I said after she had done all these things, Turn thou unto Me.  But she returned not.  And her treacherous sister Judah saw it."   Jeremiah 3:7 "Return thou backsliding Israel, saith the Lord; and I will not cause Mine anger to fall upon you:"  3:12 "Return, ye backsliding children, and I will heal your backslidings."   3:22 These are not the only passages, of course, that God pleads with men to return to Him.   God in His Sovereign grace and mercy, gives men ample opportunity to repent and return to Him.  Now, you can only return to that which you formerly was present at.   This is an appeal to the church.  The heathen and the lost nation have never approached unto Him, they need to come the first time.   But the church, claims at some point that they have come to the Lord; yet they have strayed away and it is ever so necessary to return to Him.    Our nation has had many
