PRAYER EMAIL - JUNE 30

Greetings, "Continue in prayer"  Colossians 4:2 "Pray without ceasing"  I Thessalonians 5 "but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him."  Acts 12:5 Announcements: July 16 - Solemn Assembly - 6 PM, Keyser Emmanuel Church; July 24 - 28 - 100 Hours of Prayer; 15 time slot increments I need you to sign up for; August 7 - 11 - 100 Hours of Prayer by SBC; We have had favourable seasons so far this year with God's manifest Presence and mercies.  However, church bodies, largely have been passed over in experiencing His Presence.  A more desperate, focused prayer for God to reveal Himself and pour Himself out should be our constant cry.  Revival - God's Divine Presence falling upon God's people is the only answer for this day.  All 3 of these happenings will be focused on that prayer.  I need you to help me complete these moments faithfully.  In order to fill 100 hours of 15 minute increments, you need 400 people.  Our small grou

100 HOUR OF PRAYER - SBC

Greetings, "Pray without ceasing"  I Thessalonians 5: "Continue in prayer"  Colossians 4:2 "but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him."  Act 12:5 Over the last several years, our local churches and prayer partners have engaged twice a year in protracted times of prayer.  There are numerous prayer initiatives found throughout the church and Christian body.  There is the 24/7 prayer movement; there are 10 days of prayer around Pentecost; there is weekly prayer meetings/& prayer initiatives; and there is daily prayer times used and employed by the church.  Of course, the worst prayer to be found among the church is no prayer.  The sin of prayerlessness is still much among our churches and for our Christian brothers and sisters.  For a long time, SBC has fought and sought to maintain about being 'a people of the Book'.  No doubt, a battle that will rage till Christ returns.  But what about the battle to become houses of pa

PRAYER EMAIL - JUNE 24

Greetings, "Whence comest thou, Gehazi?  And he said, Thy servant went no whither.  And he said unto him,  Went not mine heart with thee, when the man turned again from his chariot to meet thee?"   II Kings 5:25 - 26 "Went not mine heart with thee?"   What a powerful phrase issued here.  I used this last Sunday night for my meditation/devotion and prayer in our Community Prayer time.  And it is still speaking to my soul.  I pray you may use it also.  Elisha had rejected all the gifts, that Naaman had offered to the prophet for healing him of his leprosy.  Yet, Gehazi had desires of greed, and lusts.  And when he went after Naaman to secure clothes and silver; he got it.  Yet his departure for earthly things costs him.  And when he returned to the prophet's house, the prophet called him out for his sin.  'Be sure your sin will find you out!'  This phrase is found throughout Scripture and in many of saints and our own testimonies. "Went not mine hear

Greetings, II Kings 3:13, 'What have I to do with thee?" 4:2, "What shall I do for thee?" 4:13, "What is to be done for thee?" 4:14, "What then is to be done for her?" What a contrast here!  to the king of Israel, the prophet Elisha, declares, 'what have I to do with thee?'  And furthers his rebuke toward him, to go and pray to the false gods, in whom he serves.  But in chapter 4, the prophet Elisha is asking in two separate situations, 'what shall I do for you?  or what is to be done for thee?'   We stand before the Lord God Almighty; what a contrast if God was to reply in this manner.  What would you do, if God would say to you, as Elisha said to the king; what have I to to with you?  Most only view, and it is much taught in the church today, that God says to everyone, 'what do you want done?'  As if God was a genie to grant our every desire and wish.  Many have gotten angry and bitter toward God because He did not give

PRAYER EMAIL - JUNE 3

Greetings, "Yea, thou castest off fear, and restrainest prayer before God."  Job 15:4 One of the supposed friends of Job, states and condemns him in this chapter.  'You have cast off the fear of God, and you have restrained your prayers before God.'  With friends like this, who needs enemies.  But it is the two directives stated that we should set before us today.  I am hearing more in the last weeks, pastors and spiritual leaders reference about the 'fear of the Lord'.  Long has the church in America, forgotten Who God is, and how fearful He is.  'It is a fearful thing to fall into the hand of the living God".  Many stopped teaching and preaching this truth, that was known by other time periods of the church.  They compromised it to suit flesh and carnal mindsets, rather than the intent of its reality.  But when we lose the fear of the Lord, prayer will be restrained before Him.   'Restraining prayer" - is this not one of those awful statem
