Greetings, "Strive to enter in at the strait gate for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in and shall not be able." Luke 13:24 Strive - to go after; to pursue; to see the goal and seek to attain it; Bunyan writes in "Pilgrim's Progress" that Christian could see the Celestial City afar off. In his pursuit he went after that city to get there; to attain his eternal resting place in the Lord's city. Christ issues a directive here for all those that would get to heaven; to all those that would hear the words, 'well done'; to those that would enter in; that they must strive. That from the day of our salvation, it is a pursuit, a race to be won and a goal to achieve. This very life on earth, is a preparation for our eternity. The redeemed and born again, to life everlasting with Christ. To the lost and wicked, damned forever more in hell. All of life we are striving for something. We are directed in Scripture, 'to set our affections on things
