PRAYER EMAIL - JANUARY 27

Greetings, "And He cometh the third time, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest, it is enough, the hour is come;"   Mark 14:41 It is the greatest hour of need known to man.  And Christ is left alone to pray and wrestle 'with great straining's and tears'.  He has requested of His 3 friends to pray with Him and for Him.  And yet, all 3 times that He takes a moment to come and check on them and see if they are praying, He finds them asleep.  And issues the statement, which is the American church largely today, 'the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.'  The hour is come.  Meaning there is nothing more that can be done.  For the affairs of this night into the morning and the next day are set into motion.  For within minutes, Christ will be arrested; Christ will be beat; Christ is already betrayed; and within 24 hours, He will be judged, sentenced and executed.  The hour is come!  Leading up to that hour He was praying and wrestling before

PRAYER EMAIL - JANUARY 21

Greetings, "For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape."  I Thessalonians 5:3 A day is coming, a moment; and that moment is suddenly coming upon us.  Although the context of this passage is of course, the second coming of Christ. And we are rapidly approaching that time.  It is quite exciting, and exhilarating, that quite possibly in our life time of the next decades, our Lord's return is upon us.  Yet, there must be this time of travailing and great tribulation upon us first.  A few weeks ago, I gave you that devotional theme 'but what? even now.'  That same Scripture with this emphasis is more and more evident of where we are as a nation.  Where is that?  Final judgement.   The increase over the last 60 years of our remedial judgements is simply historical facts.  And yet, it has never ceased in increasing.  How did we reach the epidemic status on the judgmen

Greetings, "Horror hath taken hold upon me because of the wicked that forsake Thy law."  Psalm 119:53 Multiple things are in motion right now for the first part of this new year in regards to prayer.  The above verse is one of those verses, that the Lord God has given me to continue to use as a catalyst to my calls to prayer and my own prayer life.  Too much evil has continued to come in, in the first two weeks of this year.  Death and dying is rampaging at great levels.  And that requires a greater response from the church to wrestle against this and prevail.  I have set two dates for a special broadcast and day of prayer. 1.  Call to Prayer --- Prevail in Prayer will be a broadcast on January 28; from 1 PM to 9 PM EST for SBC;  we will have 6 speakers sharing of this message as the Lord leads them.  It is my desire to put this broadcast out there to reach as many as we can, for the sake of prayer being a priority among our churches, personal prayer life and SBC life.  Driv

CALL TO PRAYER TO SBC

Greetings, I am writing to share with you this day and time of prayer.  I have asked several of our group to join me for 'A Call to Pray -- Prevail in Prayer' on January 28.  This will be a broadcast that will be a message to SBC state conventions, associations, entities and churches.  These 6 speakers will bring a word to help us to continue to make prayer our priority.  A heart passion I know we all carry.  And although it is not a corporate prayer setting, which I believe we desperately need, it will set before us the Word of the Lord for prevailing prayer.  We, as the church, cannot be found guilty of vain praying, but it must be prevailing prayer.  Many different religions pray, and many pray more passionately and vehemently than Christians do.  We are to be houses of prayer, and to be men and women of prayer.  Let us have that witness as Jacob did when he wrestled with the angel -'Thou hast prevailed with God and with men.'        One year ago, we met via live str

PRAYER EMAIL - JANUARY 7

Greetings, "Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid?  shall there be evil in a city, and the Lord hath not done it?"  Amos 3:6 If these first days of the new year, are any indication for what lies ahead for us, we are in serious trouble.  It is almost imperative to see and understand that our epidemics, that have long been with us for months, yea, some of them years, have reached the tipping point.  And all of this, of God's cup of wrath, over the last days is showing us what shall be.  And it is an astonishing, horrifying display of God's wrath and judgement on us.  The distractions and busyness of many within the church, who have refused to see it and respond to it, are mystified by what is happening.  But the basic principle of God's creation and responses is happening, 'what you sow, is what you reap.'  'Those that sow unto the Spirit shall reap life everlasting, but those that sow to the flesh, shall reap corruption.

A CALL TO PRAYER - JANUARY, 2023

Greetings, "But I give myself unto prayer" - Psalm 109:4 Blessed New Year to you!  I pray that you are ready to face the year, and see the church ready to grow in 'grace and knowledge of our Lord.'    We know that the faithfulness and strength of the church is found in its spiritual disciplines.  Bible, prayer, church and evangelism to be key foundations in our intimacy with the Lord.  We have faced an uphill battle on seeing the church maintain these spiritual disciplines over the last decades.  Especially, in the venue of prayer, of which the Lord has given you and I an ardent desire to prevail in.   Most  of our churches and individual Christians struggle in the passion of prayer.  Corporate prayer and secret closet prayer are hard things to find among us today.  Bless those that are doing it and thriving in it.  but overall, the majority neglect and wrestle to maintain prayers.  The sin of prayerlessness has costs us much.  And your desire, as mine, is to see tha
