THE ACTIVITY OF GOD IN THE BIBLE - THE BOOK OF ACTS - CHAPTERS 15 - 28; PART II

  The Activity of God

Going through the Bible, book by book, chapter by chapter, verse by verse, phrase by phrase and word by word to give attention to the following:
--the Names of God;
--the word & deeds of God;
--the sayings of God;
--the attributes of God;

Too often the churches weakness and the Christians weakness is found in this one sin, 'we do not know God'.  We have not studied the Bible, nor Him to learn more of Him.  Seeking that this might be a help for myself and others in this pursuit that each of us 'may grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord.

ACTS
Chapter 15
15:1      False teaching of salvation by church;
15:2   God's church to deal with beliefs;
15:3     And being brought on their way by the church, they passed through Phenice and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the Gentiles:  and they caused great joy unto all the brethren.       God's church; God's conversion of the Gentiles declared; God's church has great joy among all the brethren;
15:4        And when they were come to Jerusalem, they were received of the church, and of the apostles and elders, and they declared all things that God had done with them.      God's church;  God's works and deeds declared;
15:7       Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.     God made choice among them the work of salvation through Peter;   God's gospel, good news to the Gentiles to be born again;  Christ believed on and received; And God said/spoke;   God's gospel spoke and heard;
15:8       And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the HOly Ghost even as He did unto us;      God knows mens hearts;  God bares them witness;  God gives them the Holy Ghost;  Holy Ghost comes upon them and fills them;   God did it unto apostles;
15:9       And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.     God put no difference between them;   God purified their hearts;  God believed on and received by faith;
15:10        Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?       God tempted by their action;
15:11       But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved even as they.       Christ's grace;  Christ Name-  Lord Jesus Christ; God believed on;  God saves;
15:12       declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them.       God's miracles and wonders declared;  God wrought among the Gentiles through Paul and disciples;
15:14        Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for His Name.         God visited Gentiles declared;  God took out a people for His Name;  God's Name of His people, Christians, church;
15:15       And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written,      God's word through His prophets fulfilled;  And God said/spoke;
15:16        After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:        I will's of God (4) - I will return; I will build again; I will build the ruins; I will set it up;
15:17         That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom My Name is called, saith the Lord, Who doeth all these things.      God to be sought after;   God's people called after His Name;   And God said/spoke;   God doeth all these things;
15:18        Known unto God are all His works from the beginning of the world.       God knows all things,  Omniscient; God's works known and did from beginning of the age;
15:19       Gentiles turned to God.      God turned to by Gentiles;
15:21        For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, and read in the synagogues every sabbath day.       God's law to Moses;  God's law preached and read;  And God said/spoke;
15:22    God's church sends men with Paul and Silas;
15:26        Men, that have hazarded their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.      God's servants hazard their lives for Christ Name;  Christ Name - Lord Jesus Christ;
15:28        For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things;      God's Holy Ghost it seemed good to set these things forth and no more;
15:32        And Judas and Silas, being prophets also themselves, exhorted the brethren with many words, and confirmed them.      God's prophets exhort and confirm;  And God said/spoke;   God's word preached and taught to people;
15:35       Paul also and Barnabas continued in Antioch, teaching and preaching the word of the Lord with many others also.       God's word preached and taught; And God said/spoke;
15:36       Let us go again and visit our brethren in every city where we have preached the word of the Lord, and see how they do.       And God said/spoke;   God's word preached;  God's servants visiting and going unto the church of Christ;
15:40       And Paul chose Silas, and departed being recommended by the brethren unto the grace of God.     God's grace;  God's servants recommended by brethren to go;
15:41   God's churches confirmed in the faith.
Chapter 16
16:1      Then came he to Derbe and Lystra:  and, behold, a certain disciple was there, named Timothy, the son of a certain woman, which was a Jewess, and believed; but his father was a Greek.      God's servant comes to cities;  God's disciple, Timothy; God's believe on;
16:2    God's servants have well reported testimony;
16:4       And as they went through the cities, they delivered them the decrees for to keep, that were ordained of the apostles and elders which were at Jerusalem.      God's church delivered decrees to keep;  God's apostles and elders and church ordained these things for them;
16:5       And so were the churches established in the faith, and increased in number daily.      God's church established in the faith;  God's church increases daily;
16:6       Now when they had gone throughout . . . and were forbidden of the Holy Ghost to preach the word in Asia.      God's servants go and preach the word;  And God said/spoke;   God the Holy Ghost forbids them to preach in Asia;  God's will and purpose of forbidding Word;
16:7        After they were come to Mysia, they assayed to go into Bithynia:  but the Spirit suffered them not.      God's servants go and preach the Word;  God's disciples assayed to go;  God's Spirit suffers them to not go there;  God's will and ways;
16:9      And a vision appeared to Paul in the night; There stood a man of Macedonia, and prayed him, saying, Come over into Macedonia, and help us.       God's vision to Paul;  God's angel in the vision directs him what to do for the kingdom of God; And God said/spoke;
16:10       And after he had seen the vision, immediately we endeavoured to go into Macedonia, assuredly gathering that the Lord had called us for to preach the gospel unto them.      God's instructions obeyed by Paul;  God had called for them to go preach;  God's Gospel preached;  And God said/spoke;   God's good news is the gospel;
16:13        And on the sabbath we went out of the city by a river side, where prayer was wont to be made; and we sat down, and spake unto the women which resorted thither.       God's sabbath; God prayed into this place; God's gospel spoken to the women there;
16:14        And a certain woman named Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, which worshipped God, heard us:  whose heart the Lord opened, that she attended unto the things which were spoken of Paul.      God worshipped by Lydia;  God's gospel heard;  God opens her heart;
16:15       And when she was baptized, and her household, she besought us, saying, If ye have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come into my house, and abide there.  And she constrained us.       God's children baptized;  God the Lord faithful unto by His children;  God's servants needs met;
16:16       And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us       God's children pray unto Him;
16:17        The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation.       God's servants attacked by demon possessed woman;  God the most high;  God's servants; God's salvation mocked;
16:18        And this did she many days,.  But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the Name of Jesus Christ to come out of her.  And he came out the same hour.      God's great Name - Jesus Christ;  Christ Name commanded demon to come out of her;  God's victory over demons; God delivers the woman;
16:25     And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God:  and the prisoners heard them.       God prayed to by Paul and Silas;  God sang praises to by them;
16:26    God sends earthquake and opens the doors of the prison;
16:30      Sirs, what must I do to be saved?     God sought for salvation;;
16:31      And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.      Christ Jesus to be believed on;  Christ to save and all his house;
16:32       And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house.      And God said/spoke;  God's word spoken to him and his house for salvation and instruction;
16:33     and was baptized, he and all his, straightway.      God's children baptized in obedience;
16:34        he set meat before them, and rejoiced, believing in God with all his house.        God's children rejoice;  God believed in and on by all his house;
Chapter 17
17:2        and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the Scriptures.     And God said/spoke;   God's word reasoned to them;
17:3       Opening and alleging, that Christ must needs have suffered, and risen again from the dead; and that this Jesus, whom I preach unto you, is Christ.       Christ reasoned with them by Paul; Christ must suffer; Christ rise again from the dead;   Christ is Jesus;  Christ Jesus preached unto them;
17:4       And some of them believed, and consorted with Paul and Silas; and the devout Greeks a great multitude, and of the chief women not a few.      God believed on in Christ;
17:5       But the Jews which believed not      God not believed on by the Jews;
17:6       These that have turned the world upside down are come hither also;       God's church has turned the world upside down with His Gospel message;
17:7       saying that there is another king, one Jesus.    Christ Jesus is King of Kings;
17:11       There were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.      God's word received;  God's Word searched daily;  And God said/spoke;
17:12       Therefore many of them believed; also of honourable women which were Greeks, and of men, not a few.       God believed on in Christ;
17:13       But when the Jews of Thessalonica had knowledge that the word of God was preached of Paul at Berea, they came thither also, and stirred up the people.       God's word preached;  And God said/spoke;
17:16      Now while Paul waited for them at Athens, his spirit was stirred in him, when he saw the city wholly give to idolatry.      God's children stirred when they see those set against God in idolatry;  God not feared nor worshipped, nor known by these of Athens;
17:17      Therefore disputed he in the synagogue with the Jews, and with the devout persons, and in the market daily with them that met with him.     God's word and ways disputed with them by Paul;
17:18         What will this babbler say?  other some, He seemeth to be a setter forth of strange gods:  because he preached unto them Jesus, and the resurrection.      Christ preached unto them by Paul;  Christ resurrection declared to them;
17:19        May we know what this new doctrine, whereof thou speakest is?      God's word called new doctrine;  God's word not known by them;;   God's word spoken by Paul to them;
17:20        For thou bringest certain strange things to our ears:  we would know therefore what these things mean.       God's word called strange things;  God's word heard in their ears;  God's word sought to be known by them of what these things mean;
17:23       I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKOWN GOD.  Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, Him declare I unto you.      God unknown to them; God ignorantly worshipped by them;  God declared to them by Paul;
17:24        God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that He is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;       God made and created all things of heaven and earth;  God is Lord of heaven and earth;  God dwells not in temples made with men's hands;
17:25        Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though He needed any thing, seeing He giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;       God not worshipped with men's hands;  God needs nothing form men;  God gives life, breath and all things;
17:26        and hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;       God made all nations of men one blood;  God allows men to dwell on face of the earth;  God determines times of all things;  God appoints time of all things;  God sets bounds of all's habitations;
17:27     That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after Him, and find Him, though He be not far from every one of us:      God to be sought;  God to be felt after; to find Him;  God to be found; Seek & Find; God not far from any;
17:28        For in Him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also His offspring.      God gives us life and we live in Him and through Him;  God gives us to move in life through Him;  God gives us being;  God's offspring;
17:29       Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device.       God's offspring; God's Godhead is not like unto earthly materials of men's devices;
17:30       And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:      God winks no more at ignorance of men; the Lord commanded;  God calls for repentance;
17:31       Because He hath appointed a day, in the which He will judge the world in righteousness by that man Whom He hath ordained; whereof He hath given assurance unto all men, in that He hath raised Him from the dead.      God appoints a day for judgement;  I will's of God to judge the world in righteousness; God hath ordained Christ to be that man to bring forth judgement; God gives assurance unto all men in Christ;  God raised Christ from the dead;
17:32    Christ's resurrection mocked and rejected by many;
17:34      Howbeit certain men clave unto him, and believed:      God's gospel of Christ Jesus believed and received by some;
Chapter 18
18:4       And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks.     God's gospel reasoned to them by Paul;
18:5       Paul was pressed in the spirit, and testified to the Jews that Jesus was Christ.    God's Holy Spirit presses Paul;  Christ Jesus testified unto the Jews;
18:6       Anbd when they opposed themselves, and blasphemed, he shook his raiment, and said unto them, Your blood be upon your own heads; I am clean:  from henceforth I will go unto the Gentiles.      God's gospel rejected by Jews;  God's gospel to be taken to Gentiles;
18:7      one that worshipped God,     God worshipped;
18:8       And Crispus, the chief ruler of the synagogue, believed on the Lord with all his house; and many of the Corinthians hearing believed, and were baptized.      Christ believed on as Lord and Savior and all his house;  Christ believed on by many others upon hearing the gospel;  God's disciples baptized;
18:9        Then spake the Lord to Paul in the night by a vision, Be not afraid, but speak, and hold not thy peace:      And God said/spoke;   Christ comes to Paul;  Christ directs Paul not to be afraid;   Christ commands him to speak and hold not back;
18:10        For I am with thee, and no man shall set on thee to hurt thee:  for I have much people in this city.      Christ promises him that He is with him;  Christ declares he shall be protected from other men;  Christ reveals that He has other servants in this city;
18:11        And he continued there a year and six months, teaching the word of God among them.      God's word taught among them;  And God said/spoke;
18:13        Saying, This fellow persaudeth men to worship God contrary to the law.      God to be worshipped ;   God worshipped not contrary to law but in fulfillment of law;
18:18       having shorn his head in Cenchrea:  for he had a vow.      God vow taken and kept by Paul;
18:19       but he himself entered into the synagogue, and reasoned with the Jews.      God's gospel reasoned with Jews by Paul;
18:21        but I will return again unto you, if God will.   the  I will's of God for His purposes and ways;  God's will determines whether we return or not;
18:22        gone up, and saluted the church, he went down to Antioch.       God's church saluted;
18:23      strengthening all the disciples.      God's disciples strengthened;
18:24       mighty in the scriptures, came to Ephesus.     God's word to be mighty in as Apollos was;  And God said/spoke;
18:25        This man was instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in the spirit, he spake and taught diligently the things of the Lord, knowing only the baptism of John.       God's way instructed to him; God's Holy Spirit gives fervency about the things of God; God's ways taught; And God said/spoke;
18:26       And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue:  whom when Aquila and Priscilia had heard, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly.      And God said/spoke;   God's word spoken boldly;  God's way expounded unto more perfectly;
18:27      helped them much which had believed through grace:      God believed on through grace;
18:28       For he mightily convinced the Jews, and that publickly, shewing by the scriptures that Jesus was Christ.      And God said/spoke;   Christ shown that it was Jesus;   Christ convinced them through Scriptures that He was Jesus come;
Chapter 19
19:1       and finding certain disciples,      God's disciples;
19:2       He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed?  And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard, whether there be any Holy Ghost.       God's Holy Ghost to be received;  God's Holy Ghost had not been heard of;
19:3    God's disciples baptized unto John's baptism;
19:4      Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism on repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on Him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.     God's disciples baptized of repentance;  Christ preached by John to be believed on;  Christ to be believed in and baptized unto;   Christ comes after John;
19:5        When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.     Christ Name - Lord Jesus;  Christ disciples heard the gospel and believed on and baptized in His Name;
19:6       And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.      God the Holy Ghost comes upon them;  Christ's disciples filled with His Spirit and spoke in tongues and prophesied;
19:8        And he went into the synagogue, and spake boldly for the space of three months, disputing and persuading the things concerning the kingdom of God.       God's servant speaks boldly of His kingdom;  God's servant disputes and persuades them regarding Christ;  God's kingdom;
19:9      But when divers were hardened, and believed not, but spake evil of that way before the multitude, he departed form them, and separated the disciples, disputing daily in the school of one Tyrannus.      God's word and Christ not believed on;  God's word and Christ spoken evil of;  Christ gospel is the way;   God's disciples departs and separates from them;  God's disciples dispute daily of truth;
19:10       And this continued by the space of two years; so that all they which dwelt in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks.      And God said/spoke;   God's word heard by all;  Christ is Lord Jesus preached and taught unto them;
19:11       And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul:      God wrought special miracles through Paul;  God's power; Omnipotence;
19:12     So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.      God's power to heal from Paul's body upon handkerchiefs or aprons;   God's power to make diseases depart;  God's power to make evil spirit sgo out of people;
19:13        Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the Name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth.       Christ Name - Lord Jesus;  Christ Name invoked to call over those demon possessed;   Christ Name used to adjure evil spirits;  Christ preached by Paul;
19:15        And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?      Christ known by evil spirit;  Christ disciples Paul known by evil spirit;
19:17       And this was known to all the Jews and Greeks also dwelling at Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the Name of the Lord Jesus was magnified.       Christ Name - Lord Jesus;  the fear of the Lord; Christ Name magnified;
19:18       And many that believed came, and confessed, and shewed their deeds.     Christ believed on;  Christ come to for salvation;   Christ disciples confess;  Christ mighty works show themselves;
19:19    Christ disciples and the church destroy earthly things and so signs of repentance;
19:20       So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed.      And God said/spoke;  God's mightily grows;  God's word prevails;
19:21        After these things were ended, Paul purposed in the spirit, when he had passed through Macedonia and Achaia, to go to Jerusalem, saying, After I have been there, I must also see Rome.      God's spirit purposes in Paul and leads him;
19:23       And the same time there arose no small stir about that way.      God's ways causeth stir;
19:26     Moreover ye see and hear, that not alone at Ephesus, but almost throughout all Asia, this Paul hath persuaded and turned away much people, saying that they be no gods, which are made with hand:     God is God, and there is no other gods;  God is not made with hands;
Chapter 20
20:1       and after the uproar was ceased, Paul called unto him the disciples, and embraced them, and departed for to go into Macedonia.     God's disciples called and with Paul;
20:2      And when he had gone over those parts, and had given them much exhortation, he came into Greece.    God's word exhorted to the church/disciples;   And God said/spoke;
20:4     God's disciples go with Paul;
20:5    God's disciples tarry at Troas;
20:6   God's disciples meet and gather together;
20:7       And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.      God's disciples gather on first day of week, Sunday;  God's disciples come together and break bread together;   God's word preached to them;  And God said/spoke;
20:9      And as Paul was long preaching     God's word preached;  And God said/spoke;
20:10    God's mercy that he was not dead, but his life still in him;
20:11      When he therefore was come up again, and had broken bread, and eaten, and talked a long while, even till break of day, so he departed.     God's people enjoy fellowship of talking, eating;
20:16        to be at Jerusalem the day of Pentecost.     God's people celebrate the day of Pentecost;
20:17       and called the elders of the church.     God's church call elders to meet with Paul;
20:19       Serving the Lord with all humility of mind, and with many tears, and temptations, which befell me by the lying in wait of the Jews:     God served through all humility of mind;   God served with tears, temptations and much attacks by Jews;
20:20       And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have shewed you, and have taught you publickly, and from house to house,      God's ways and word not kept back from them;  God's word and ways taught to them publickly and from house to house;
20:21      Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.      God's word and ways testified to Jew and Greek;  God to be repented toward;  Christ Name - Lord Jesus Christ;  Christ to put faith in;
20:22       And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there:      God's servant Paul, goes bound in spirit;   God's servant yields not matter what befalls, uncertainty, but faith in Him;
20:23       Save that the Holy Ghost witnesseth in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions abide me.     God's Holy Ghost witnesses in every city;  Holy Ghost reveals that bonds and afflictions await Paul;
20:24       so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.      Christ Name - Lord Jesus;  Christ gives him ministry;  God's gospel testified by Paul;  God's grace to help him testify;'  And God said/spoke;
20:25      whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, shall see my face no more.     God's kingdom preached;  And God said/spoke;  God's word preached;  God revealed to Paul he would see them no more;  Omnipresent; Omniscient;
20:27       For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.     God's counsel declared;  And God said/spoke;
20:28       Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which He hath purchased with His Own blood.     Holy Ghost hath made them overseers of church;  God's church to be fed;  Christ purchased church with His Own blood;  Christ blood purchases;
20:29    God's church warned of attacks against them; Omnipresent; Omniscient;
20:30    God's disciples attacked by false disciples;
20:32       And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and ot the word of His grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.      God's church and brethren commend by Paul unto God;  God's grace through His word;  And God said/spoke;  God's grace and word able to build them up;  God's grace and word to give them an inheritance;  God's word and grace to sanctify;
20:35       and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus how He said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.      And God said/spoke;  Christ's words to be remembered;  Christ declared to them it is more blessed to give than to receive;
20:36    God's people pray;
20:38     God revealed to Paul that he should see their face no more;  God's people sorrowful over that which shall be;
Chapter 21
 21:4      And finding disciples, we tarried there seven days:  who said to Paul through the Spirit, that he should not go up to Jerusalem.      God's disciples found;  Holy Spirit said through disciples to Paul, what was to be; And God said/spoke;
21:5     and prayed     God's church supports and prays together with Paul;
21:7      and saluted the brethren, and abode with them one day.     God's church saluted and abode with;
21:8   God's disciple Philip abode with;
21:9      And the same man had four daughters, virgins, which did prophesy.     God's church prophesies;  And God said/spoke;
21:10     God's church has prophets;
21:11       thus saith the Holy Ghost, So shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man that owneth this girdle, and shall deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.      Holy Spirit reveals and speaks through prophet;  And God said/spoke;  God reveals what shall be, Omnipresent;
21:13        but also to die at Jerusalem for the Name of the Lord Jesus.     Christ Name - Lord Jesus;  Christ Name to die for, Paul was resolved;
21:14       And when he would not be persuaded, we ceased, saying, The will of the Lord be done.    I will's of God;  God's will to be done;  God's will submitted to by church;
21:16       There went with us also certain of the disciples of Caesarea, and brought with them one Mnason of Cyprus, and old disciples, with whom we should lodge.      God's disciples;  God's disciple, Mnason;
21:17       And when we were come to Jerusalem, the brethren received us gladly.     God's church the brethren receive them;
21:18    God's elders;
21:19       And when he had saluted them, he declared particularly what things God had wrought among the Gentiles by his ministry.     God wrought miracles and works through Paul;  God's works testified to;
21:20       And when they heard it, they glorified the Lord, and said unto him, Thou seest, brother, how many thousands of Jews there are which believe; and they are all zealous of the law:      God glorified in great works;  God believed on by many Jews;
21:25       As touching the Gentiles which believe, we have written and concluded that they observe no such thing, save only that they keep themselves from things offered to idols, and from blood, and from strangled, and from fornication.     God believed on by Gentiles;   God's church conclude what they should do as followers of Christ;
21:28    and hath polluted this holy place.      God's holy place;
21:30      drew him out of the temple;   God's temple;
21:31     God's servant they tried to kill;
Chapter 22
22:3      taught according tot he perfect manner of the law of the fathers, and was zealous toward God, as ye all are this day.     God's law to the fathers;   God zealous toward in service;
22:4       And I persecuted this way unto the death, binding and delivering into prisons both men and women.     God's way of Christianity, the church persecuted by Paul;  God's children bound and delivered into prison;
22:5       to bring them which were there bound unto Jerusalem for to be punished.      God's church bound and sought to be brought to Jerusalem to be punished;  God's children and church persecuted;
22:6       suddenly there shone from heaven a great light round about me.     God's light from heaven shone round about him;
22:7       And I fell unto the ground, and heard a voice saying unto me, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou Me?      Christ asks a question;  And God said/spoke;   Christ speaks to Saul;  Christ and His people persecuted;
22:8     And I answered, Who art Thou, Lord?  And He said unto Me, I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom thou persecutest.      Christ answered;  Christ asked a question;  And God said/spoke;   Christ Name - Jesus of Nazareth;  Christ persecuted;  Christ answers him;
22:9       And they that were with me saw indeed the light, and were afraid; but they heard not the voice of Him that spake to me.      God's light seen;  Christ's voice not heard;  And God said/spoke;   Christ speaks to Paul;
22:10       And I said, What shall I do Lord?  And the Lord said unto me.  Arise and go into Damascus; and there is shall be told thee of all things which are appointed for thee to do.     Christ asked question;  Christ answers him;  And God said/spoke;   Christ declares to him to arise and go;   Christ will reveal what he shall do for the kingdom;
22:11    And when I could not see for the glory of that light      God's light of glory blinds him;
22:12       And one Ananias, a devout man according to the law, having a good report of all the Jews which dwelt there,      God's servant Ananias;   God's law devout to;
22:13       Brother Saul, receive thy sight.  And the same hour I looked up upon him.     God heals Saul's blindness;  God's servant Ananias heals him;
22:14       And he said, The God of our fathers hath chosen thee, that thou shouldest know His will and see that Just One, and shouldest hear the voice of His mouth.      God of their fathers;   God chose him;  I will's of God to be known to him;  Christ Name - Just One;  Christ seen;  Christ voice heard from His mouth;  Christ mouth; And God said/spoke;
22:15       For thou salt be His witness unto all men of what thou hast seen and heard.      Christ witness to all the world;  Christ seen and heard and testified by Paul;
22:16       And now why tarriest thou?  arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.     Christ servants to be baptized;  Christ servants sins washed away;  Christ Name to be called upon;
22:17        even while I prayed in the temple, I was in a trance;      God prayed to;  God places him in a trance;
22:18       And saw Him saying unto me, Make haste and get thee quickly out of Jerusalem:  for they will not receive thy testimony concerning Me.       And God said/spoke;   Christ send and heard;    Christ bids him make haste and get quickly out of Jerusalem;  Christ reveals they will not receive his testimony of Christ;  Christ testimony rejected;
22:19       And I said, Lord, they know that I imprisoned and beat in every synagogue them that believed on Thee:      Christ answered;   Christ disciples beat and imprisoned by Paul; Christ believed on;
22:20     And when the blood of Thy martyr Stephen was shed, I also was standing by, and consenting unto his death, and kept the raiment of them that slew him.      Christ martyr Stephen;
22:21      And He said unto me, Depart for I will send thee far hence unto the Gentiles.     And God said/spoke;  Christ instructs him to depart and go;  I will's of God to send him to Gentiles;
Chapter 23
23:1      Men and brethren, I have lived in all good conscience before God until this day.     God sees and knows how men have lived before Him;
23:3      Then said Paul unto him, God shall smite thee, thou whited wall:  for sittest thou to judge me after the law, and commandest me to be smitten contrary to the law?     God shall smite him for false judgement Paul accuses;  God's law
23:4       And they that stood by said, Revilest thou God's high priest?     God's high priest;
23:5       I wist not, brethren, that he was the high priests:  for it is written, Thou shalt not speak evil of the ruler of thy people.     And God said/spoke;   God's high priest;  God's people and rulers to not be evil spoken of;
23:8       For the Sadducees say that there is no resurrection, neither angel, nor spirit:  but the Pharisses confess both.     God's power of resurrection, Christ's resurrection denied;  God's angels and spirit denied by them;   God's resurrection, angels and spirits confessed in by them;
23:9       but if a spirit or an angel hath spoken to him, let us not fight against God.      God's angel or spirit speak to men;  God to not fight against;
23:11       And the night following the Lord stood by him, and said, Be of good cheer, Paul:  for as thou hast testified of Me in Jerusalem, so must thou bear witness also at Rome.      Christ appears to him;  And God said/spoke;   Christ testified of by Paul at Jerusalem;  Christ testified at Rome by Paul as well; Omnipresent;  Christ reveals to Paul what was to be;
Chapter 24
24:5       For we have found this man a pestilent fellow, and a mover of sedition among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes':      Christ ringleader, Paul;  Christ doctrine and gospel throughout world;  Christ followers called, sect of Nazarenes;   God's gospel called sedition;
24:11      I went up to Jerusalem for to worship.     God worshipped;
24:12       And they neither found me in the temple disputing with any man,       God's temple;
24:14        But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets:       Christ way and God's way confessed by Paul;  God's way they call heresy;  God worshipped; God of fathers;  God ways believed in all things written in law and prophets;  And God said/spoke;
24:15        And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.      God have hope toward;  God to resurrect dead in the last times;  God to resurrect just and unjust;
24:16       And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence toward God, and toward men.       God's servants exercise to not have offence toward Him or men;
24:18      found me in the temple      God's house of worship;
24:21       Except it be for this one voice, that i cried standing among them, Touching the resurrection of the dead I am called in question by you this day.      God's resurrection of the dead;
24:22       And when Felix heard these things, having more perfect knowledge of that way, he deferred them, and said       God's way he had a more perfect knowledge of - Christianity;
24:23       that he should forbid none of his acquaintance to minister or come unto him.      God's servant minister and come to him;
24:24       and heard him concerning the faith in Christ.      Christ to have faith in;   Christianity;  God's gospel spoken and heard;
24:25        And as he reasoned of righteousness, temperance, and judgment to come, Felix trembled, and answered, Go thy way for this time; when I have a convenient season, I will call for thee.      God's ways testified to Felix of righteousness, temperance and judgement;  God's Holy Spirit convicts Felix and he trembled;
Chapter 25
25:8      neither against the temple     God's house;
25:16       concerning the crime laid against him      Christs salvation and HIs servants called crime;
25:19       But had certain questions against him of their own superstition, and of One Jesus, which was dead, whom Paul affirmed to be alive.      God's way called superstition;   Christ - of One Jesus;  Christ falsely declared dead by Festus;   Christ declared accurately by Paul to be alive;  Christ dead by crucifixion, Christ resurrected alive, Christ glorified to heaven at the right hand of God;
Chapter 26
26:2     all the things whereof I am accused of the Jews:     God's children accused by Jews;
26:3     in all customs and questions which are among the Jews:       God's people the Jews with their customs;
26:4      at the first among mine own nation at Jerusalem, know all the Jews;    God's people the Jews, Paul was a part;  God's city Jerusalem;
26:5      that after the most straitest sect of our religion I lived a Pharisee.     God's people the Jews and the religious sect called the Pharisees;
26:6       And now I stand and am judged for the hope of the promise made of God unto our fathers:      God made promise to father;   God's promise is hope;
26:7       Unto which promise our twelve tribes, instantly serving God day and night, hope to come.  For which hope's sake, king Agrippa, I am accused of the Jews.      God's promise to twelve tribes;  God served day and night;  God's hope to come;  God's hope is what and why Paul is accused of the Jews;  God's people the Jews accuse Paul;
26:8       Why should it be thought a thing incredible with you, that God should raise the dead?     God raise the dead;  God raising the dead asked why it is an incredible thing, as if beyond God;  God is abled to do all;
26:9        I verily thought with myself, that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth.      God's people Christians Paul thought to do many things to harm them;  Christ Name - Jesus of Nazareth;   Christ name many do things contrary to Him;
26:10    Which thing I also did in Jerusalem:  and many of the saints did I shut up in prison, having received authority from the chief priests; and when they were put to death, I gave my voice against them.      God's children called saints;  God's church assaulted and persecuted in prison and some to death;
26:11       And I punished them oft in every synagogue, and conpelled them to blaspheme; and being exceedingly mad against them, I persecuted them even unto strange cities.      God's children punished; God's children blaspheme Him by force; God's church persecuted;
26:13        At midday, O king, I saw in the way a light from heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me and them which journeyed with me.       God's great light from heaven;
26:14       And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou Me?  it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.     God knocks them to the ground; the fear of the Lord; Christ voice heard;  And God said/spoke; Christ calls out Saul;  Christ asks a question;
26:15      And I said, Who art Thou, Lord?  And He said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.     Christ answered with question;  Christ Name - Lord; And God said/spoke;  Christ declares Himself;  Christ is Jesus;  Christ persecuted through His people being persecuted;
26:16       But rise and stand upon thy feet:   for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee.      Christ gives him directive to rise and stand;  Christ appeared for this purpose;  Christ sot make him a minister and a witness;   I will's of God to appear unto him;
26:17       Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom I send thee,      Christ declares that He will deliver him from the people;  Christ to send him to the Gentiles;
26:18       To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.     Christ declares their eyes shall be opened;  Christ declares they shall be turned form darkness to light;  Christ declares they shall be delivered form power of Satan unto God;  God go grant forgiveness of sins;  God to give inheritance to them;  God to sanctify them that have faith in Christ;
26:19      Whereupon, O ling Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision.     God's heavenly vision to Paul;  God obeyed;
26:20       But shewed first unto them . . . that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.     God's truth showed to them;  God declares they must repent of sin;  God to be turned to;  God requires works meet for repentance;
26:21      For these causes      God's ways and word sought to be destroyed and to kill Paul;
26:22       Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come;       God helps him; God's servant witnesses truth to small and great;  And God said/spoke;  god's prophets and Moses declared these things should come;  God's word fulfilled;
26:23       That Christ should suffer, and that He should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.     Christ suffered;  Christ first to rise from dead;  Christ shows HIs light to people and Gentiles;
26:25      but speak forth the words of truth and soberness.     God's truth and soberness spoken and shared;
26:26      that none of these things are hidden from him; for this thing was not done in a corner.     God's works done and not hidden;  Christ death, resurrection and ascension not done in a corner, but openly;
26:27      King Agrippa, believest thou the prophets?  I know that thou believest.     God's word and prophets to be believed;  And God said/spoke;  God's prophets;
26:28       Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persaudest me to be a Christian.     Christ followers are persuaded, not almost;  Christ followers are Chrsitians;
26:29      And Paul said, I would to God, that not only thou, but also all that hear me this day, were both almost, and altogether such as I am, except these bonds.      God would to this thing Paul requests; Christ followers to be not almost, but altogether surrendered unto Him;
Chapter 27
27:22      God gives a word to them of warning and hope;
27:23     For there stood by me this night the angel of God, whose I am, and whom I serve.     God's angel; God's servant, Paul; God served by Paul;
27:24       Saying, Fear not, Paul; thou must be brought before Caesar:  and, lo, God hath given thee all them that sail with thee.      God's angel speaks to him;  And God said/spoke;  God gives directive to not fear;  God reveals what is to be about appearing to Caesar;   God granted him his request, answered prayer; God gives him the souls on the boat and preserves them because of Paul;
27:25       Wherefore, sirs, be of good cheer:  for I believe God, that it shall be even as it was told me.      God to be believed;  God cannot lie; God's word to told to him;  And God said/spoke;
27:26       God reveals they must be cast onto island;  Omnipresent; Omniscient;
27:31       Except these abide in the ship, ye cannot be saved.      God's protection given as they stay together;  God's safe keeping of Paul and those with him;
27:34    Paul encourages the men with the words of God's protection and deliverance, not a hari of your head fall from any;
27:35       And when he had thus spoken, he took bread, and gave thanks to God in presence of them all:  and when he had broken it, he began to eat.      God prayed to;  God given thanks;
27:43       But the centurion, willing to save Paul, kept them from their purpose and commanded that they which could swim should cast themselves first into the sea, and get to land:      God's deliverance and protection of Paul and all of them through this centurion;
27:44      And so it came to pass, that they escaped all safe to land.     God's word fulfilled, it came ot pass;  God's protection and deliverance to make them all safe;
Chapter 28
28:5       And he shook off the beast into the fire, and felt no harm.      God's servant protected from poisnous snake;  God's plan for Paul to go to Rome was in place, and nothing could undo that;
28:6      said that he was a god.     God is unknown to them, that they apply god like status to Paul;
28:8     Paul entered in, and prayed, and laid his hands on him, and healed him.       God's children protected;      God prayed to by Paul;  God heals man through Paul laying hands and praying for him;
28:9        So when this was done, others also, which had diseases in the island, came, and were healed:       God heals;  god's servant Paul used to witness to them;
28:14        Where we found brethren, and were desired to tarry with them, seven days:  and so we went toward Rome.      God's church, brethren;  God's plan for Paul to go to Rome;
28:15       And from thence, when the brethren heard of us, they came to meet us as far as Appiforum, and The three taverns:  whom when Paul saw, he thanked God, and took courage.     God's church, the brethren meet them; God thanks by Paul;
28:20     For this cause therefore have I called for you, to see you and to speak with you:  because that for the hope of Israel I am bound with this chain.     God's children Israel;  God's hope upon him for them;
28:22      But we desire to hear of thee what thou thinkest:  for as concerning this sect, we know that every where it is spoken against.     Christ's church and God's kingdom called sect;  God's kingdom and servants spoken against;
28:23       to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets, from morning till evening.     God's kingdom expounded and testified of out of God's law;   Christ ways seek to persuade them; God's law of Moses, God's prophets, persuaded Jesus was the Christ;
28:24     And some believed the things which were spoken and some believed not.      God's word believed and believed not;  Christ believed on and Christ believed not in;
28:25       And when they agreed not among themselves, they departed after that Paul had spoken one word, Well spake the Holy Ghost, by Isaiah the prophet unto our fathers,        Christ ways and God's kingdom not agreed upon by Jews;   And God said/spoke;  Holy Ghost spake through the prophets regarding them;   God the Holy Ghost spoke to fathers;
28:26       Saying, Go unto this people, and say, Hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and not perceive:      And God said/spoke (2); God the Holy Ghost instructs them to go and speak; God reveals they shall hear but not understand;  God reveals they shall see and not perceive;
28:27       For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes; and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and i should heal them.       God knows men's hearts; Omniscient; God reveals the hard hearts, the dull ears of hearing and the closed eyes for seeing;  God's desire for them to hear, see and be converted;  God's desire to heal them;
28:28       Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it.     God's salvation has been made known unto them; God sent salvation unto Gentiles and they will hear it; Omniscient;
28:29      and had great reasoning among themselves.      God's word and ways reasoned among them;
28:30    God's brethren visit Paul;   God's servant Paul visited by brethren;
28:31       Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.       God's kingdom and word preached;   God's kingdom taught regarding Christ Jesus;  Christ taught and preached; God's word preached and taught without forbidding, and with all confidence;
