PRAYER EMAIL - 100 HOURS OF PRAYER

 Greetings,
"And being in an agony He prayed more earnestly;. . . "   Luke 22:44

David said, 'Is there not a cause?"  And with what we are facing, should we not be in agony and pray more earnestly?   do you know there are still those who see and hear the things around them in their churches, community and cities and still would ask, 'what things?'  'why should we be in agony?'   Do they really have eyes to see and hears to hear?    Christ agony that caused Him to pray more earnestly, was the weight of sin and the world upon His shoulders.   We can not grasp the fullness of this burden upon Him in that hour.

For us, we should understand that weight of our sins; our neglects; our failures; our transgressions against Him, His kingdom, HIs Name and His will and ways.   WE can thank Him for His forgiveness and cleansing blood that pardons all those; but we still know the consequences of such sin.  We know in our lifetime all that we have done against Him that has quenched and grieved the Spirit and that which is hindered His work within us.   And with great sorrow, tears and brokenness we come before Him for pity, for forgiveness and removal of these sins by His blood and sacrifice.   And as we study His Word, we see the sins of the world, the masses that are against Him every day, day after day.   Whole minds, hearts and souls against Him and all His ways.   We see the lostness; we see the great evil; we see the whole of population against Him and know the certainty of their eternity if continued.  This is the agony that we bear in the prayer closet and at prayer times.

How can a loved one, watch the antics and happenings of their spouses, their siblings, their children, the very ones that they love, in rebellion against God and not be moved with praying more earnestly in agony over their lost conditions?   It is the blessing of the Lord that He opens our eyes to see that we may know a glimpse of that which He sees and His thoughts.   And this knowledge of the Holy moves us to see, think and pray as He did.   Thus, with the weight of a world upon the church, for the nations, for the homes, for the future, we pray!   Pray with agony and earnestness for the seriousness of the matter and the seriousness of time.  For time is running out on them.  And oh, how many have languished a loved one that died without Christ, knowing that they should have been more zealous, more engaging for their soul.  For once in hell, always in hell!

See and be in earnest for almost every family struggling with the sin of drugs and alcohol - addictions, the chains of hell upon their souls.  See almost every family, that has had to deal with drug overdose deaths.  See families with the curse of LGBT within, churches, work, schools and almost every facet of society dealing with this abomination.  And what shall we say for the things that we cannot see!  Death and dying of near and far, knowing the weight of eternity upon our hearts and minds for these that are not ready to meet God face to face.  Pray more earnestly for the work in all these nations, in our nation, in our communities.  Pray more earnestly for a church that has lost Holy Ghost power and Presence, and seems content to live without it!  Pray more earnestly for this hour, for who knows, but the Lord, what is coming in the new year.

Praying more earnestly is not 'saying' prayers.  It is the burden; the weight of the matter; that causes us to seek Him with more devotion, perseverance and as He prayed, 'with strong crying and tears'.   Many pray, but is there the burden of fervency, urgency, earnestness and facing the emergency of the results, hour or outcome.   God gives us more as we spend more time with Him.  He pours out His desires upon those that are asking, seeking and ready to bear the weight of the Lord's kingdom and purposes.  Do you know the depths of praying more earnest?  It is not a time to let up, become slack, or haphazard in our approach to prayer.  Be it resolved within us all, to pray more earnestly through the close of this year.  And ready to go forth stronger in the new year for His Divine will and ways to be before us and upon us.  'Thy kingdom come and Thy will be done for Thy glory' - pray more earnestly!
