CONCERT OF PRAYER INVITATION TO CHURCH LEADERS

 Greetings,
"Thy way and thy doings have procured these things unto thee:  this is thy wickedness because it is bitter, because it reacheth unto thine heart."   Jeremiah 4:18
". . . Thou hast stricken them, but they have not grieved; Thou hast consumed them, but they have refused to receive correction:  they have made their faces harder, than a rock; they have refused to return.. . . for they know not the way of the Lord, nor the judgment of their God."  Jeremiah 5:3 -4
"Wherefore doeth the Lord our God all these things unto us?. . . "Jeremiah 5:19

For the first 20 years of this new century, we have seen record and historic judgement upon our nation for our abominations against God.   Almost every fabric of our society has seen the judgements of God against it.   From natural disasters, to school shootings, to record setting suicides, we have gone from a safe haven of ease to a nation of destruction and death.   Over this past year, of 2020, it has culminated to unrest in the streets, and upon most homes.   Our remedial judgements against our nation have now reached their apex to EPIDEMICS.   

And all the while, the church, watching and knowing these things, has not truly responded rightly to our nations gross sins.  Yes, we have prayed, hopefully preached against it and made statements to their wickedness and rebellion, but nothing has changed for the better.   Those praying and seeking real revival and spiritual awakening, have not seen it.   There have been mercy drops, but definitely no showers of blessings upon the church.   So, over these 20 years, on our watch all this evil has been legalized, judicial edicts have been passed and as we close this year out after a record setting election fracas, and covid plague, we are worse off as ever.   

And throughout all these years, many have made numerous 'calls to prayer'.  Many have sought to see some sort of response before God and by the people of God.   But truly, with what we are seeing, no response has been sufficient.   And now we approach the last stages of judgement upon  a nation.  Our very freedoms are ready to be removed; our very future to exist is in jeopardy; and the church seems utterly powerless to do anything about it.  

Thus, I have set one more attempt to gather the church together to seek the Lord like never before.  Days of prayer, days of proclamation and a covenant to enter into for the new year to fast and pray before Him, for mercy and help.   These times are called a Concert of Prayer.    

Concerts of Prayer over the centuries have been landmarks of finding God's power, Presence and seeing revivals, and God's people renewed in their passion to Him.   The impact changed history and the landscape of our nation.   It was God's grace through these concerts of Prayer that God spared us.  And now that we are in places of evil and wickedness unlike we have ever known before, I beseech with all that I am, join us for these time of prayer.

In the book of Joel, God says, when you see these things happening, call for a solemn assembly.  And as God's people mourn and weep and languish over what we've become, who knows, if God may turn and repent from destroying us and leave a blessing behind.   This is the very time, we are in brethren.   

Dec. 27 & 28, we will have afternoon and evening sessions to set a precedence for a Concert of Prayer to be observed.   And as we have pleaded with state conventions, pastors, churches and associations to join us over the last 18 months; once more we come asking you to join us before its too late.   Brethren, we are out of time.   And it is time for the church to humble itself and come together and make the most ardent response before the Lord.  

In your place of leadership and service, would you make the effort for the new year to set days of fasting and prayer for the state of our nation and the state of the church.  And would we make the effort to be serious about this like never before.   There are two judgements that have not happened yet, although we have seen glimpses of them:  economic collapse and war, on our soil.   These last two judgements are God's final judgement upon a nation to take them from being destroyed, to utter desolation.  As the church goes, so goes the nation.  And it is of utmost importance for you, in your place of leadership to recognize the judgements of God against us and respond.   Join together as an united front, all of us together to proclaim what we are going to do, to seek the Lord and humble ourselves and await for His help and mercy.  

In the first Great Awakening that came from these Concerts of Prayer, they agreed to enter into this agreement for 2 years.  We may not have that long, but let us be resolved for 2021 to employ the Concert of Prayer for our churches.  Time is of the essence brethren, and I implore you one more time to come together and respond.  Help us promote this Concert of Prayer, pray for us and participate with us.

100 HOURS OF PRAYER - DEC. 2023

Prayer Email - 100 Hours of Prayer for SBC - III

Greetings, "men ought always to pray, and not to faint."  Luke 18:1  In the last month, we have had a Solemn Assembly for our local churches; followed by '100 Hours of Prayer' for the local churches & many of you, my prayer partners on this prayer email joined us.  And now we come to this last protracted time of prayer, 100 Hours of Prayer for SBC.  God sets His people to pray for His purposes and His will to be done.  And yet, prayer is hard to find among the churches today.  Many know they should pray, but refuse to make time.  Many desire to pray better, but have no teaching on how to pray.  Neither are they around seasoned prayer warriors that can impart what they have learned.  And much of the evil and wickedness of today in our nation, cities and homes, is because, we, as God's people have ceased praying.
