PRAYER EMAIL - 'RETURN' - Jeremiah 2

 Greetings,
". . . Yet return unto Me, saith the Lord"  Jeremiah 3:1
"And I said after she had done all these things, Turn thou unto Me.  But she returned not.  And her treacherous sister Judah saw it."   Jeremiah 3:7
"Return thou backsliding Israel, saith the Lord; and I will not cause Mine anger to fall upon you:"  3:12
"Return, ye backsliding children, and I will heal your backslidings."   3:22

These are not the only passages, of course, that God pleads with men to return to Him.   God in His Sovereign grace and mercy, gives men ample opportunity to repent and return to Him.  Now, you can only return to that which you formerly was present at.   This is an appeal to the church.  The heathen and the lost nation have never approached unto Him, they need to come the first time.   But the church, claims at some point that they have come to the Lord; yet they have strayed away and it is ever so necessary to return to Him.   

Our nation has had many Divine moments in God's grace of revivals, awakenings, stirrings; all of God's mercy to make us at one with Hm.   And as quickly as we, as a nation, have come, just as quickly we faded away.   And each time, it seems it gets harder for men to humble themselves before Him and surrender.   WE are in a day, that we, in this generation, have never seen this much evil, this much wickedness and the church utterly powerless to do anything about it.   IF there was ever a time to return to the Lord it is now.   For the Lord's anger waxes hot against this society and our nation for all its abominations.    And our time of returning to Him, is a window that is closing.   For the Lord has been sending remedial judgements upon the nation, the homes, the hearts & minds of men and upon His church.    These remedial judgements are an act of grace to call us to return to Him.   

But in the midst of such judgements, the nation, nor the church, have returned to the Lord.   And if they have returned in any capacity it is only feignedly.  There are so many distractions and waywardness that continues, the return has not happened as it should.   Many in church leadership are saying the same thing, 'What will it take to get us to humble ourselves and return to Him?"    And that is this moment in which, not only as we close this year, but as prepare to start another year, we must return to Him, NOW!    WE are out of time.  

I have shared the EPIDEMICS and we are at the point of the cup of wrath being poured out upon our nation.   There are 2 things that remain from the judgements of God that has not utterly bankrolled us:  ECONOMY & WAR.    Both of these final judgements to bring us to a conclusion as a nation may come within the next year.   AS they boast of the stock market increasing, I laugh, then mourn, that they did not know suddenly God can undo their greed and bring them to collapse.  Surely 2007 & 2008 taught us this.   We can't go on like this and God will bring us to an end of ourselves soon enough.  

Yet, this Concert of Prayer, Dec. 27 & 28 and the 100 Hours of Prayers are set forth for us to come before Him, with a greater cry for God's people to return to Him rightly and with all that we are.   And praying that our nation would seek Him and return to Him, that we might see another moment in history of Divine revival upon the church and spiritual awakening upon the nation, as we have read and heard about in days gone by.   Oh, how we need Him.   Plead like never before, because if we don't come to an end ourselves and trusting in our humanism, God will bring us to an end of our selves.   

Return to Him in all our ways as families, as the church, as individuals.   Return with your time, your talents and your tithes.   Return to Him as a yielded servant for Him to use you and send you as He sees fit.   Too many Christians and church goers are not here in utter surrender.   And this has grieved the Holy Ghost from us; we walk with out direction from Him, which is needed to direct us.  And only a right return to Him will restore our relationship with Him.    We can't go on without the fullness  of the Holy Ghost.   And He will not fill unworthy vessels.   

Our time to return is narrowing in the hour glass.  And the urgency and desperation within me is increasing by the day and the hours.   It is time to respond and it is time to RETURN!

Focus is to pray for the close of this year and new year with regards to the state of our nation and the state of the church.

EPIDEMICS
1.  Drugs/Alcohol - deaths, and affects have taken a back seat to the reports and emphasis of this evil upon our nation;  stats are unclear at this point, but I look for some at the first of the year, especially in regards to 2020 overall reports;

2.  LGBT - such is the onslaught of God giving us over to reprobate minds;  two Supreme Court wins for their rights and advancements for family structure;   Going is finishing us! 

3.  Children - cases, abuse and sex trafficing require our greatest pleas and prayers for deliverance and protection;  an entire generation exposed to abuse of the worst kind;   300 students in Nigeria abducted again;

4.  Natural Disasters - volcanos erupting world wide;  earthquakes have been quiet, still looking for an 8.0 soon;   hurricane season ended with record marks;

5.  Plagues - covid has hit our area hard; death, dying and struggles all around;  

6.  Great Evil - Mass murder here in WV, teenager killed a family of 4;  last police officer shot and killed was here in WV also;  Great evil of minds and hearts in these acts of wickedness.    Mass shootings hit 600 for this year, almost double from previous years.   Murder-suicides are nearing 600, since Thanksgiving a lessening, but in recent week, great increase.   "Blood defiles the land"

100 HOURS OF PRAYER - DEC. 2023

Prayer Email - 100 Hours of Prayer for SBC - III

Greetings, "men ought always to pray, and not to faint."  Luke 18:1  In the last month, we have had a Solemn Assembly for our local churches; followed by '100 Hours of Prayer' for the local churches & many of you, my prayer partners on this prayer email joined us.  And now we come to this last protracted time of prayer, 100 Hours of Prayer for SBC.  God sets His people to pray for His purposes and His will to be done.  And yet, prayer is hard to find among the churches today.  Many know they should pray, but refuse to make time.  Many desire to pray better, but have no teaching on how to pray.  Neither are they around seasoned prayer warriors that can impart what they have learned.  And much of the evil and wickedness of today in our nation, cities and homes, is because, we, as God's people have ceased praying.
