100 HOURS OF PRAYER FOR 2024

 Greetings,
"Watchman what of the night?" Isaiah 21:11

The end of the year is now upon us. Transition from 2024 to the new year of 2025. We have now arrived at a 1/4 of this new century. It seem vaguely familiar when we crossed out of the 1900's into 2000. I'm not assuming that every one that reads this or that is praying with us was born yet in 2000. But we are here in this moment of December, 2024, for "such a time as this".  And we may also realize and understand this truth, that there is a huge difference in our nation, families, churches and our own hearts and lives compared from December, 1999 to this present hour. Whether that be for the better or worse, only you can answer for yourself. But as the church and Christians, we must all answer the question of the Lord: "watchman what of the night?"

Not many are able to rest in peace and strength by saying at the close of this year, "all is well". Many are hurting, lost, struggling and surrounding on all sides with great trials, afflictions and battles. Many have no hope, no Christ, no strength, no faith. We are to report before the Lord all these things, of which we know in families, communities and churches before the Lord. We are to "make our requests known" before Him. Knowing, that He Who is Omniscient and OMnipresent, already sees, knows  the need. Yet He has tasked His church, you and I as prayer warriors, watchmen of our churches, homes and city, to report before Him all these needs.

You are asked to join this 100 hours of prayer to spend it with God in prayer, usually alone in your secret closet with Him and before Him. It is 15 minutes that we are asking individuals to sign up and be praying for all these things. EAch individual is freely given to pray as the Spirit leads them. God will no doubt bring before certain ones, specific names, situations and purposes. Be faithful to "hear what the Spirit is saying" and pray accordingly.  But we also know that some will sign up and not know exactly how to pray for 15 minutes. We are always learning and supposed to be growing in the Lord. Take this time to be honest with the Lord. "Lord, I don't know how to do this." He will help and lead you.

A help and guide for any and all is to employ the following for your 15 minutes: worship, confess sins and pray specifically for some of these things. Consider our great need for the churches. There is a lot of religion out there, a lot of false gospel and traditions of men. What we need is the power of the Holy Ghost to rest upon the pulpits and churches. We need a real revival, that holds us close to Him, and filled with Him. Real revival is like Duncan Campbell stated of the revival of the Hebrides in 1949, "we know nothing of backsliding". Oh, to see brothers and sisters that over this last year, that have struggled with sin, been unfaithful, not grown much, to be set on fire for the Lord. Erasing all these things that have worked against us for His kingdom work and power.

Consider what we have seen and heard regarding our cities, homes and families.  Across our area over 2024, we have had more tragedy, homicides and car accidents than the past 24 years of this century. A great need presses upon so many homes. Lostness is still ever present in far too many homes. Generational families out of church and without Christ; from the grandparents, to the parents to the grandchildren/children, which is 3 generations without Christ. Not a good hope for our future. But God! Who is able to do the impossible, is able to seek and save that which is lost.

Therefore, if nothing else that we might pray in agreement about, let us pray for these two things fervently and urgently: 1. real revival to come to the church; 2. for a spiritual awakening, where the lost are truly born again and saved in Christ completely.

Let us use this time of prayer, to finish out the year strong and well in the Lord. Let us begin the new year out rightly, before the Lord on our faces and knees. Pleading with Him, Who is able to do all things. Pray one for another. Pray for our future. Pray against the sins and evil of our area. Pray for His kingdom to come, and His will to be done. Let us pray, not just mouthing words or thoughts. But let us pray so as to prevail!

The sign up google sheet is attached and sent out to participating churches and pastors. But if you don't have access, let me know and I will make sure to sign you up. If you have any questions or issues, with how to pray or what to pray for, let me know and I will help as much as I can.

Until,

Dan Biser
