PRAYER EMAIL - SOLEMN ASSEMBLY

 Greetings,
"For how can I endure to see the evil that shall come unto my people?  or how can I endure to see the destruction of my kindred?"  Esther 8:6

We live in a day, in which, with many reading this verse, will be foolish enough to ask:  'evil? what evil?'  . . . destruction? what destruction?'  For they do not know the high costs of sin.   They do not know the 'exceedingly sinfulness of sin'.  We must know our wretchedness, in order to adore His marvellous grace and redemption.  Far too many are being 'led to the Lord' for salvation, without knowing what they are being 'saved from'.  The perpetual increase of sin and abominations in this day and our society before the Lord, has caused us to watch great plagues upon our land and our generation,  How long can a nation provoke the Lord to wrath and fury and anger? And never expect to receive for their deeds.  They know the God of blessing, but do not know the God of cursing.  He is both, whether you like it or not.  

And many of you, bear this sorrow with me for our families, cities, nation and future.  "Is it nothing to you, all ye that pass by?  behold, and see if there be any sorrow like unto my sorrow, which is done unto me, wherewith the Lord hath afflicted me in the day of His fierce anger."   This day is rapidly approaching us.  We see Romans 1 happening right in front of us, like never before.  'God giving us over to reprobate minds'.   And God clearly commands us, 'When you see these things happening and coming upon you";  DO WHAT??   "Call for a Solemn Assembly".  Cause the people to gather and come before the Lord.    

Twenty-three years into this century, we have watched, seen, known and experienced, the judgements of God.  We have watched all our lives, remedial judgements come upon us, to cause us to return and seek Him.  One, cannot expect lost men to do this.  For even, lost men of old in our history, were knowledgeable enough of God and His ways, to know when and why such things were happening.  But in this day, where everything is dismissed, and refusal to acknowledge that God caused it, allowed it and did it.  We, in the church, as His people, must know where we stand before Him.  And none who know the Scriptures, and know the sins of our land, would say we are ok.  With the rise of evil, 'when evil comes in like a flood'; and it has in all venues, call for a solemn assembly.  A land defiled with blood, perverseness, lostness, and thoughts and inventions for greater evil; we stand in a horrible plight - call for a solemn assembly.  

And yet, God gives to us, a means whereby we may 'come boldly before His throne, and obtain grace and mercy to help us in this most definite time of need.'  Come broken and contrite; come humbly; come with expectancy; come confessing and repenting; come worshipping and adoring; but COME!  I called 11 years ago, to SBC at the convention to 'call for solemn assemblies' across the convention.  And I still lament being called out of order, for that which God had called me to do.  And can only wonder, if they had listened and done, where SBC, where our nation, where our future would be headed.  But as old Vance Havner said, 'what might have been'; one cannot languish over, but remedy to the best of our ability in the Lord.  So we have called and set locally, state wide, national, for these 'calls to a solemn assembly' to put before the people the great need of our hour.   

And as I have I said before, 'I will not get on the other side of God's severe judgement on our nation, and wish that I would have done more, or could have done more.'  We have this moment, right now, to come before Him and seek Him for His cleansing, His Presence, His power in order that He might be glorified to the highest; for He is worthy.   You are called to come and are invited to join us.  You are called and invited to hosts and set a solemn assembly in your respective place.  But there is a clear call and need to come.  And to take a few hours and come corporately and enter into His Divine Presence.  Come, Lord Jesus, come; and fill Your people once again.   Send the Holy Ghost that we may receive, be filled, receive and serve You with all our heart, mind, soul and body.  We can't do anything, we need You O God!  Help us, O God!  help us!

3.  100 Hours of Prayer for SBC - August 7 - 11;  need 400 SBC members, pastors and leaders to take 1 15 minute time slot and pray for a work of God to be done in our midst;

PRAYER TARGETS: EPIDEMICS
1.  Drugs/Alcohol -  death, dying and destruction and desolation upon our society, homes, and nation with these two evils;
2.  Children -  new movie out bringing to light this evil which we have put before you often, abuse, neglect, sex trafficking and some of those most horrible things imagined to be done by men upon children;
3.  Natural Disasters -   drought, heat and storms; earthquakes are quiet for now; hurricane season under way, but quiet for now;
4.  LGBT -   great evil and Romans 1 unfolding right before us;
5.  Pestilence -  malaria in FL; covid; cancers, most recently another explosion in about 5 days last week;
6.  Great Evil -  after a couple quiet weeks, the 4th holiday exploded in all targets of mass shootings - July - 27 cases; mass murders - 3 cases; police officers shot & killed - 3 cases;  great affliction of violence, blood shed and murder is predominant upon out nation as a severe judgement;  murder-suicides are down; 
7.  Economy -

--Great Questions of the bible - up through Job 6;  
--A Word - up through Jeremiah 32:22; all verses of this chapter finished except that great verse of 32:17;  
--Thursday Hour of Prayer  7 PM:  worship - been praying the verses of Psalm 145 - 150; confession - walking through praying the verses of Jeremiah for specific sin; 
--Monday Bible study - food and fellowship this past week, we will be back to Deuteronomy 13; Q & A;
--1st & 3rd Sunday evening of every month, praying with local pastors for community;
--fast each Thursday;

100 HOURS OF PRAYER - DEC. 2023

Prayer Email - 100 Hours of Prayer for SBC - III

Greetings, "men ought always to pray, and not to faint."  Luke 18:1  In the last month, we have had a Solemn Assembly for our local churches; followed by '100 Hours of Prayer' for the local churches & many of you, my prayer partners on this prayer email joined us.  And now we come to this last protracted time of prayer, 100 Hours of Prayer for SBC.  God sets His people to pray for His purposes and His will to be done.  And yet, prayer is hard to find among the churches today.  Many know they should pray, but refuse to make time.  Many desire to pray better, but have no teaching on how to pray.  Neither are they around seasoned prayer warriors that can impart what they have learned.  And much of the evil and wickedness of today in our nation, cities and homes, is because, we, as God's people have ceased praying.
