PRAYER EMAIL - MAY 13

 Greetings,
". . . Lord God of israel, let it be known this day that Thou art God in Israel. . . Hear me, O Lord, hear me, that this people may know that Thou art the Lord God, and that Thou hast turned their heart back again."  I Kings 18:36 - 37

 This is the great victory of Elijah over Ahab; of the Lord God over Baal and all their evil.  This is the great prayer offered to the Lord God to be victorious over the false images of Ahab and the servants of Baal.  Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised.  Throughout Scripture this word, "know" is found.  It is a very powerful study; and of its implications to our Christian walk.  The apostle Paul prayed it in Philippians, 'that I may know Him'.  And here Elijah is praying it unto the Lord, 'that they may know that You are the Lord God of Israel.'  How much more then, for us, in our present state for the church to pray and know the power of this truth, 'to know Him.'  

Often in the Christian discussions and among God's people, there is a great void and lack of knowing about God.  Ravenhill made the powerful statement in regards to the estate of the church, 'we don't know the Word of God and we don't know the God of the Word.'  How condemning!  And in order to correct that, there must be the life pursuit of each of us, to know the Word of God.  For in the Word is the revelation of Who God is.  And the more we are before Him, in prayer and silence and meditation, He reveals Himself.  But alas! how can finite creatures know infiniteness!  We can't.  But a joy and pressing on to know more and more about Him.  How sad for the soul that has never advanced in knowing more about Jesus after decades of being saved.  Peter uttered this prayer of Him, in regards to the church, 'that you may grow in grace and knowledge of Him.'  

Over these last 6 weeks of silence, I was resolved to be as still as I could before Him, to hear from Him.  It was quite the battle, but very needful.  I am very much focused on the phrase that I often speak and pray in the church services, 'I desire to have ears to hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches and to me.'  The only way that happens is to be silent before Him; to be still, and know that He is God; and be much alone with Him to reveal Himself.  It is not as the old song says, 'just a little talk with Jesus. . . just a little time with Him'.  But it is more alone with Him; more before Him; more about Him.  Father, reveal Yourself more and more of Your Divine Trinity; that I/we may know You, in Your fullness.  

Lastly, during these weeks of prayer and aloneness, I have been hearing and led more and more about His kingdom.  It has become an entire focus of His kingdom to advance.  To know how His kingdom works, advances, overcomes; and how His kingdom is weakened, set back, losses and such like.  These setbacks and losses are not on God's part of course, but on our part, as the church.  Putting together this 'to know Him, that He is the Lord God, and apply that in prayer over nations, generations, His church/His bride, and over me and in me.  Each prayer service, I hear myself praying it more and more; 'Thy kingdom come and Thy will be done.'  So much emphasis on this, that I am hearing more and more of others in our corporate prayer meetings picking up this prayer and praying it along with me.  'And if two of you shall agree as touching anything here, it shall be done for you in heaven.'  There is more than 2 praying for His kingdom come and His will to be done. in these days, and the days to come.

It is the true and final evidence that men may know that He is the Lord God.  Both the heathen, that are alarming mocking of Him and ignorant of Him; and of His Own church who follow the same attributes of mocking and ignorant of Him, Whom they claim is their Lord and Saviour.  For far too many profess Him with their mouths, but their heart is far from Him.  They say, but they do not; and they claim Him, but they act nothing like Him.  To know Him and His attributes defines of how we desire to become like Him.  His 3 great attributes of holiness, righteousness and faithfulness are to be our pursuit and focus as well.  'Be ye holy, for I am holy.'  Know Him, and pray for Him to be known in all the earth.  Grow in knowledge and comprehension and application of Who He is and what He is all about.  One cannot go wrong with such a prayer as this!

PRAYER TARGETS - EPIDEMICS

1.  Drugs/Alcohol - - no stat yet for 2022; but stat for first 9 months of 2022, mirrors that of 107,000 deaths in 2021;  
2.  Children - crisis at the border with all the potential & already abuse in place for children being sex trafficking; Texas 1st grader makes another 1st grader perform sex act in class room; 'where would a 1st grader even know or learn this from?' Negligence by parents;  
3.  Natural Disasters -  drought conditions have eased much in west; but central US and west coast of FL is extreme conditions;  snow melt flooding in west; Earthquakes - on average over the years, we have averaged 1 - 7.0 earthquake per month and 1 - 8.0 earthquake per year.  Currently thus far this year, we have had 11  - 7.0 earthquakes, that is 2 per month; double of normal.  No 8.0 for the last 1 year and 9 months - which means long overdue for one.
4.  LGBT -  continued advance; one soul at a time; one court ruling; one legislation continued to be passed;  an onslaught of abomination that the church is barely fighting and engaging in spiritual warfare; Romans 1 unfolding right before our eyes.

6.  Great Evil - stats continue with the greatest increase in mass murders; previous years we have averaged 1 to 2 per month; so far this year we are averaging 6 per month; 21 police officers killed thus far this year;
7.  Economy - 4 others bankis continue to run at over 75% losses, nearing collapse;  these coupled with the other 4 banks that already collapsed earlier this year, continues to push to banking crisis;  Central Bank issues digital currency; You must prepare for where we are going in the near future.

UPDATES:

--bible reading - up through II Kings;  writing out by hand 'All the Questions of the Bible" - apparently there are over 3000 of these; up into Judges;  these questions are great meditations, instructions and leadings of the Spirit;
--A Word blog - up through Jeremiah 31:13; only 4 verses left in chapter 30 to finish; and only 1/2 of the 13 verses in chapter 31 are finished;
--Monday bible study - up through Deuteronomy 11 complete;
--Thursday Hour of Prayer 
--NDP I was a part of 2 good prayer meetings held in our community;
--fast every Thursday & Sunday;

100 HOURS OF PRAYER - DEC. 2023

Prayer Email - 100 Hours of Prayer for SBC - III

Greetings, "men ought always to pray, and not to faint."  Luke 18:1  In the last month, we have had a Solemn Assembly for our local churches; followed by '100 Hours of Prayer' for the local churches & many of you, my prayer partners on this prayer email joined us.  And now we come to this last protracted time of prayer, 100 Hours of Prayer for SBC.  God sets His people to pray for His purposes and His will to be done.  And yet, prayer is hard to find among the churches today.  Many know they should pray, but refuse to make time.  Many desire to pray better, but have no teaching on how to pray.  Neither are they around seasoned prayer warriors that can impart what they have learned.  And much of the evil and wickedness of today in our nation, cities and homes, is because, we, as God's people have ceased praying.
