PRAYER EMAIL - MARCH 11

 Greetings,
"Is there not cause?"  I Samuel 17; 
"What is the cause?"  Acts 10:21
When Goliath stood forth and cursed the armies of Israel and the God of Israel, David rose to meet that challenge.  And being rebuked by his brother, he declares this question, for his reproof, 'Is there not a cause?"  Yes, there is a cause, the enemy of our Lord has come and cannot be permitted to continue his evil devices, plans and practices.  For Satan's sole cause is to  'kill, steal and maim' in all it is to destroy the purpose and creation of God.  He comes against all that God has instituted of His church, family and marriage, Israel and the nations and His desire that all be saved.  There is a cause!

Cornelius has a heavenly visitation and been instructed to go and send for Simon Peter.  Peter has fallen into a trance upon the roof top and 3 times God has reproved him for looking upon that which God has created as unclean.  God has told him, 'what I have cleansed, call not thou unclean', meaning not the animals in the vision, but the people of the world.  And as his vision ends, he is instructed by the Spirit that men are at the door and he goes to them.  And when he comes to the men that Cornelius has sent for him, he asks almost the same question, 'what is the cause that you are come?"  May we boldly go before the throne of God, and when asked by the Lord, 'what is the cause that you have come to Me?'  May we have the answer ready that is upon us right now -- a world is perishing without the Gospel!

 'what is the cause?'  The cause is His kingdom, His will, for His Name sake!  This is why we come in prayer;  this is why we are given access to come boldly to seek His help in times of need.  There is no where else to go; there is no other hand to seek.  The only help is to come to Him, Who liveth for ever and ever. "I will help you, saith the Lord".   To Him Who has created all things for His glory, for His pleasure of that which was and that which is, and that which will be.  His kingdom, done by His power and Spirit for His will to be completed.  What is to be completed?  that all the world should have the Gospel message given to them. An invitation to every soul, mind and heart that they may hear, that they may know and that they may be given an opportunity to respond for their eternal destination.  The cause is heaven or hell for all eternity.  And every soul created is streaming there, even now.

What cause have you come seeking Him?  What cause do you bring before His throne?  What cause drives your heart passion, purpose and priority?  Is it Him?  Is it His will?  I fear too many in the American churches have forgotten the cause.  They have forgotten the size of Goliath.  They have turned in fear away when he curses and defames the Name of our God.  There is no holy boldness that wells up from within by His Spirit to empower us to say, 'is there not a cause?'  And God wonders why there are not more that come before His throne, with that cause to lay before Him and make request.  'make your request know to Me.'  

Pray for the cause of the kingdom.  Was that not God's plan in this chapter 10 of Acts, in regards to Cornelius faith and 'all of his household.'  Is that not the cause of your family and mine?  The perishing, the unreached, the nations, the 8.2 billion on the planet in need of the Gospel invitation.  Lord, we bring our cause before You.  For it is not truly our's, but Your's.

EPIDEMICS
1.  Drugs/Alcohol - next month should be release of 2022 deaths;  
2.  Children - continued assault in schools to woke culture and acceptance of evil;  still continuing arrests of teachers, coaches, pastors and youth ministers preying on children;
3.  Natural Disasters - west flooding & mudslides; drought conditions have greatly reduced in the US;  and when one judgement ends, the next approaches;
4.  LGBT - the continued battle to make all of our society accept this abomination; 
5.  Pestilence -   covid; cancer; STD's; 
6.  Great Evil - yesterday, March 10, another mass murder of 5 people in a murder-suicide;  this is our 16 of the year so far;  unprecedented;  
7.  Economy - forecasters now saying that the stock market crash, that they have been much predicting, is within 60 days collapse;  food shortages; monetary reset;

--bible readings - up through Acts 20; two weeks left till finished;  word study - wait, watch;
--A Word blog - up through Jeremiah 29:7; finished all of chapter 28, need to got back and finish chapters 26 & 27;  
--Monday Bible study - Deuteronomy 7 & 8;  
--Thursday Hour of Prayer at 7 PM;
--Sunday Churches:  Keyser at 10 AM;  Fox's Hollow - SS at 2 PM; worship at 3 PM;
--1st and 3rd Sunday - Community Prayer with pastors;  
--March 19 - community churches coming together for baptisms and prayer;

100 HOURS OF PRAYER - DEC. 2023

Prayer Email - 100 Hours of Prayer for SBC - III

Greetings, "men ought always to pray, and not to faint."  Luke 18:1  In the last month, we have had a Solemn Assembly for our local churches; followed by '100 Hours of Prayer' for the local churches & many of you, my prayer partners on this prayer email joined us.  And now we come to this last protracted time of prayer, 100 Hours of Prayer for SBC.  God sets His people to pray for His purposes and His will to be done.  And yet, prayer is hard to find among the churches today.  Many know they should pray, but refuse to make time.  Many desire to pray better, but have no teaching on how to pray.  Neither are they around seasoned prayer warriors that can impart what they have learned.  And much of the evil and wickedness of today in our nation, cities and homes, is because, we, as God's people have ceased praying.
