PRAYER EMAIL - FEB. 11

 Greetings,
"Then came Jesus"

Early in my ministry, my dad found a book with this title, 'Then Came Jesus'.  It was written by a VA preacher, and in it 10 chapters of testimonies of how God glorious saved individuals.  And always right at the moment of their surrender and receiving of Christ as their Saviour and Lord, he would write, 'then came Jesus.'  A very moving book, and one that has impacted me for years.  With the revival breaking at out Asbury , it is back to this same message, 'then came God.'  God has come in fullness, power, and His Presence.  Everything of tears, prayers, prayer conferences, testimonies of revivals of days gone by, miles travelled to hear and speak with those that have experienced God's manifest Presence, and waiting, longing, for this moment -- this is what it has all been about!  God has come!

God is Sovereign.  For revival He chooses, how it comes, where it comes, and what happens.  It is our responsibility to receive it, flourish it, pray for it and be ever so sensitive to what the Spirit is saying, leading and doing.  But our greatest moment is that initial moment, when God comes.  But then it is how far will it spread; how deep will the work go.   Most moments of God's Presence is a locale experience; it is the mercy drops; but it is not the showers of blessings and far reaching impact.  Time will tell of this impact from Asbury.

Consider and give place to this phrase, 'then God came'.  Think and rejoice upon the times that Christ came, the Holy Ghost came,  God came and did His best work.  Remember those things of which God did in days gone by, and how He came, and what happened when He came.   And come before the Lord, with that longing, that passion, that fervency and plead that He comes to your locale, your churches, your families, your hearts.  Let not this moment pass, without the praying remnant storming the throne of God and pleading and begging for Him to come in fullness and power.  Not just Asbury, but His glory to go to the ends of the earth.  Seek for it, call for others to join you in prayer for this.  And may we all have testimonies of revival in 2023, 'then God came.'

PRAYER TARGETS - EPIDEMICS
Asbury Revival - last week during weekly chapel, the Spirit of God took over and services have continued for 3 straight days.  My plan is to head out there Monday, desiring that it is still going on. My last time at Asbury was over 10 years ago.  I travelled out there and was given an entire day to visit and glean from Dennis Kinlaw.  He rehearsed that account of 1970 and what happened and how it happened.   And I am ever one that is discerning of 'what Spirit or spirit such things are' that this is real revival.  REal revival I define as God's Manifest Presence.  This is what all that is about in prayer, fasts, conferences, and talking and sharing revival accounts.  It is to experience the Presence and power of God in full impact.  The greatest need of our hour!   And why will much of the church miss out on this?!
Allow for me to encourage you to not miss out.  Just last Sunday I preached at Keyser church Acts 4; and at prayer time that evening, I cried out for the pastors and churches to pray, that 'Pass me not O Gentle Savior, while on others Thou art calling, please don't pass me by.'  I know its an invitational hymn, but it is a prayer that we not miss revival.  Folks! God has come, and let us do all to embrace it and encourage it and experience it.  Be intentional to pray, fast, and be a part of this move of God.
