PRAYER EMAIL - NOVEMBER 19

 Greetings,
"At what instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to pluck up, and to pull down, and to destroy it;"  Jeremiah 18:7

This clear warning was given to Judah, that if they would not repent and humble themselves before the Lord, they were facing God's wrath and anger.  Their sins were idolatry, rebellion, rejection of His prophets, and the 2 great sins mentioned in Jeremiah: "they forgot the Lord; they forsook the Lord."  And because they refused to give ear to hear and receive God's invitation to return to Him, He would fulfill what He had warned them of since the days of Moses.  "if God's people would not serve Him and obey' there were consequences to their choices.  In the very beginning of Jeremiah, as God called this young boy to be His prophet, He told him, 'before you were born, I knew you and called you. . . I will root out and pull down and destroy. . ."   God will pluck them up and remove them.  And at the end of Jeremiah were are the children of Judah?  They were plucked up and removed.

By God's mercy, He also stated, that when He plucked them up and removed them, that He would return them and plant and build them.  This is the contrast of God's will and ways.  He is able to bless or curse; able to build or tear downs; pluck up or pull down.  Nothing is too hard for the Lord.  And He is immutable (my favorite attribute of God), the God Who changes not.  Knowing these truths, brings us to understand what and why God did this to Judah.  And what shall we say of our nation? of the church?  Is He not plucking up our nation and systematically removing it from the earth?  We are a society of death and dying.  We are not even having enough babies to repopulate the amount of death.  Numerous factors goes into this.  And most use these reasons to explain away that our nation is under judgement of God.

To pluck up, is as the analogy of plucking up weeds and throwing it away.  It is refuse; no longer of purpose and hinders the true vine and vegetation.  Our land is cursed because our iniquities have greatly increased against God.  Blood defiles the land, and we have filled it from abortions, to homicides, suicides, to murder-suicides.  Filling the land from coast to coast in all directions and every state, county and city.  One would be hard pressed to find the spots that are not defiled by death and dying of such means.  And God requires an answer to that blood shed; 'your brother's blood cries out to me.'  And God is and will judge for that shed blood.    

With the elections, greater evil has been legalized.  And it has revealed just how lost our nation is.  Far too many have had their loved ones 'plucked up' from this earth with drugs, suicides, and other means of death.  A tragedy, a shock that the church has not moved with a greater urgency to undo this evil.  For it is in the power of the church to stop evil and 'be delivered from the Evil One.'  Their is victory in Christ and through Christ.  There is power in His Name to overcome the evil one.  So that we understand that this warfare for the souls of men is found in this very purpose of Christ delivering men from Satan, sin and self.  Satan continues seeking to destroy and seize as many souls as quickly and as many as possible.  And the church to understand their job is to evangelize these souls and see them delivered from the mouth of the lion, walking about seeking whom he may devour.  

With these epidemics happening, and the day in and day out death rate, hell is swallowing these souls faster than what we are evangelizing them.  A strong faith in Christ is needed, "Go, labor on: spend and be spent, your joy to do the Father's will; it is the way the Master went; should not the servant tread it still?"  

A great privilege to understand that we are given this life, for such a time as this for His kingdom, His will and His ways.  A great sorrow to understand how little in the spiritual realm is known, prayed and shared by the church.   And before God plucks up our nation, for its wickedness; before He removes our families, with the judgements of death and destruction; and before He plucks up the church, as He warned the Ephesus church that He would remove (pluck up) their candlestick for leaving their first love; let us make sure that we do all that is before us.  A right heart, a right spirit as that of John Knox, 'give me Scotland, lest I die.'  They are being plucked up, and our future is very much uncertain.  While we have day, let us labor; for the night cometh, when no man can work.  And let it be our resolve, that we will not get on the other side of final judgement against our nation and say, 'Oh, that I had done more, while there was still time and opportunity."  Finish this year strong in His service.  Understand we know not who the next one will be plucked up.  And if you knew it was your loved one, your dear friend, a neighbour, a co-worker and you knew that they was not ready for eternity; would you not go to them to make sure they understood the certainty of eternity?  We know not when that time comes for such; but we know it is coming.  Do not live life with regrets.

"The hour is late; the need is great; pray so as to prevail"

100 HOURS OF PRAYER - for the close of the year;  We have done this for several years.  And we have done the shorter 80 hours in mid year.  Starting on Dec. 28 through Jan. 1, Noon (EST).  You are being asked to pick 15 or 30 minute time slots;   So we have 6 weeks and we will start filling in the time slots.  Our focus is spiritual for our nation (spiritual awakening), the church (revival), family.

PRAYER TARGETS:
EPIDEMICS
1.  Drugs/Alcohol -  continued death, overdoses, damage; waste of money, life;  approaching 1/2 of states have elected to legalize drug use; 
2.  Children -  neglect; abuse; sex trafficking; raised without any knowledge of Christ; targeted by all groups of evil; Senate to vote on HR 8404 which would allow great evils against children;
3.  LGBT - continued abomination; Marriage Act set to be passed will legalize it across the board; advancement of evil in Senate bill HR 8404, pray against this vote;
4.  Natural Disasters - several earthquakes over 4.5 in US; another 6.9 in Indonesia; drought conditions across persist in US, except east coast;  
5.  Pestilence - covid cases and deaths continue, US still in top 5 nations of cases and deaths; RSV is now at epidemic status for children, maxing out hospitals abilities to deal with the volume of cases;  
6.  Great Evil - so far in November - 3 mass murders; no police officers shot & killed thus far; 29 murder-suicides; mass shootings just hit 600 cases so far this year, murder-suicides are at 597;
7.  Economy - continue to watch and listen to economic forecasters, preparing for crash of system;

--bible reading - up through Leviticus 25;  word study - recording Scripture text for 2 words, 'wait'; & 'watch';
--A Word blog - up through Jeremiah chapter 25:5  ;  finished all 10 verses in chapter 24;  back to chapter 22, only 3 verses left to finish whole chapter;  chapter 23, still around 1/2 to finish  ;
--Monday Bible Study - nearing the end of Deuteronomy 4;  read chapter 4 - 6 to stay up to day;  google meet with study;  if you want on this email lists let me know with your email; we send out about 10 - 15 minutes before we start;
--Sunday services:  Keyser church at 10 AM;  Fox's Hollow: SS at 2 PM, Worship at 3 Pm;
--Community Prayer with Pastor's 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month at 6 PM; live stream on Emmanuel Church of Keyser;
--Thursday Hour of Prayer is still in limbo of how to proceed for end of year;
--100 Hours of Prayer to close year and begin year:  Dec. 28 - Jan. 1;  asking of you to take 15 to 30 minute slots;
