Prayer Email - October 28

 Greetings,
Hitherto is the end of the matter.  As for me Daniel my cogitations much troubled me, and my countenance changed in me:  but I kept the matter in my heart."   Daniel 7:28
I will try to make this short, but no promises!  Thank you to those that reached out to me, to help me with where I'm at right now.  Those that called, wrote and prayed for me, I greatly appreciate it.  
For the last decade, I have recorded and studied the judgements of God on our nation, church and lives.  I have marked those remedial judgements that have elevated to EPIDEMICS, identifying 7 of them.  They are much like the 10 plagues of Egypt, all pushing us to an end point of destruction and death.  The 3 D's that we are coming to in final judgement is death, dying and destruction.  But there is the great mercy and restraint of God to those that seek Him, pray and prevail before Him.  And I have sought fervently, and diligently to rally the church to prevail in prayer that this end judgement would not happen, but in wrath God would remember mercy.  Literally, all I'm doing is seeking for time!

The focus of this prayer email is about  #6 EPIDEMIC, which I simply term "Great Evil".  This is the epidemic of all the murders, suicides, police officers shot & killed, mass shootings, mass murders and murder-suicides.  These stats I have watched over the last decade, go from 1 per month, to increasing to 2 - 3 per day.  Murder-suicides were running 3 per day; and mass shootings for the larger portion of this year, was at 3 per day.  But at the end of August, those stats just stopped, all together!  One death every couple days, but largely through the end of August, all of September and into the first weeks of October, it just stopped.  I was baffled.  What had happened?  Was this prevailing? Was God giving us a reprieve?  I couldn't grasp what and why, and I still have no answer to it.  Something had changed, something happened in the spiritual realm, much beyond what we experience here on this plain.  And I sought God for answers, for direction, for help.  Silence!  No directive, no answer.

Now at the end of October, those evils are starting to increase again, to 1 per day; however two other areas, police officers and mass murders have increased.  We stand at 9 mass murders for the month of October, 3 in the last week.  This has never happened before, that I am aware of.  And now I am left to ponder and continue to look for answers and discernment, on what has changed? what is taking place?  This is a shift of some sort, and definitely not for the better.  "Lord, reveal what and why.  Lord give us eyes to see what You are doing.  Lord, give us ears to hear what the Spirit is saying, regarding our future, nation and response."  Even though there are these uncertainties, there are some certainties that we must acknowledge and respond to.

1.  We are reaping what we have sown.  God is the same, He is immutable.  His response to our wickedness and evil and blood shed is the same as always.  Blood defiles the land.
2.  Remedial judgements were & are sent and allowed by God to cause the people of God to sit up and take notice of His hand going out against us for our sins.
3.  When these remedial judgements are set forth, the one people, the church, is supposed to see and know what and why these things are happening for.  And the church is to respond accordingly as God has set forth.
4.  That response is a call for a Solemn Assembly.  "When you see these things, call for a fast, solemn assembly. . .weep, wail and mourn before the Lord.  Who knows if He will turn and repent and leave a blessing behind Him."  To me, even though we have done numerous of these, this is not a one and done.  But a continuation alarming the church for where we are at and what is going on. 
5.  Because the church has fallen and been at fault in so much sin, lethargy, carnal lifestyles and living, holiness is evaporated from us and righteousness fails us, we must confess and repent before Him.  This is a continual work of redemption and restoration.  Monthly/weekly fasts and concerted Concerts of Prayer to address and deal with this things.
6.  time is an issue, as a decade of awareness and preparation of these things listed above, now comes to an end.  Almost as if God is saying, 'Time's up'.  Response is everything by the church for this present hour and for our future.  And no matter what we are doing or have done, it is not enough and must press to go deeper and be more consistent with Him and before Him.
7.  Final judgement comes and everything that we have been blessed with and have had, is all but removed.  Freedoms, availability, opportunities, advancement, blessings and mercy is removed and gone. 

So with evil multiplying and some shift happening, there is an immediate need of response by the church.  We are given much authority and privilege in prayer to combat evil and undo its works.  However, you all receiving this email have been very much in the school of prayer.  And we all attest that the majority of prayer in churches and among the saints is not spiritual warfare but physical needs.  I reached out to over a dozen national prayer and spiritual leaders to help me with this.  And truly I did not really know where to go. Because praying in the spiritual realm, and against spiritual power its not taught, or mentioned very much.  Probably the one most prolific in it was Derrick Prince, and he's been dead for some time.  Who wars in the spiritual realm?

We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and power and the rulers of the dark world.  As I already said, 'who does this?'  I am sharing and working on laying this out for those that would join me and help me.  The physical issues that are prayed for so much, is generally only the symptoms of the spiritual world, left untouched by the power of prayer.  'Wrestling - taking captive thoughts - restraining evil - advancing His kingdom' are all terms and functions of prayer in spiritual warfare.  Seeing and understanding that the very life being played out in front of us, reveals God's blessings and cursing's.  But when we ask 'why' is this happening, it is declared in the Scripture that God is causing it, allowing it.  And this is our privilege in prayer to pray His will be done in these matters of the spiritual realm.  

My prayer warfare has largely been around the minds and hearts of men that are pawns for Satan and this evil.  A plea before the throne of God to take captive their thoughts, to undo the desires of their wicked hearts.  Satan whispers, makes suggestions and lead them; prayer is to counter all of that - 'Shut their ears form hearing him, Lord'; 'do not let these suggestions take root and grow'; thwart and undo is probably my biggest phrase of prayer to stop them before they ever act on the evil.  There is very much a spirit of preventive prayers for this.  Knowing the tactics of Satan is a wealth of immeasurable means to counter and fight against him.  Always remembering 'greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.'       

I continue to wrestle in this.  I have shared some of the background and presented what Broken Before the Throne prayer ministry is generally and largely engaged in.  So let me know if you have any insights or helps or who else has experienced this.  It would be greatly appreciated.  I will continue to sit before Him and ask, listen and wait upon Him.  Continuing to pray against evil and for His kingdom  Blessings

--bible reading - Revelation & Bible reading through is finished today!!  Wahoo!!  always exciting to finish - #59 times through;  word study - "fear/afraid", "Wait" 'Watch"; and as I came through the epistles, I marked all the Scriptures dealing with spiritual warfare with Satan and his tactics and devices;  sharing this on Thursday Hour of Prayer;
--A Word - up through Jeremiah 23:36;  unfortunately, I have not been as diligent to finish these verses in this chapter; a great lapse only 1/2 are finished:;
--Monday Bible Study - Deuteronomy 4;  google meet still continues;
--Thursday Hour of Prayer - only was able to do 2 weeks in October;  and I will only be able to do 2 weeks in November, November 10 & 17;  with google meet we are able to do corporate prayer; join us for this;
--Community Prayer on 1st & 3rd Sunday of each month;
--Wednesday Zoom call at 11 AM with Thomas Bush; really have enjoyed these prayer times with this small group;

Prayer Email - 100 Hours of Prayer for SBC - III

Greetings, "men ought always to pray, and not to faint."  Luke 18:1  In the last month, we have had a Solemn Assembly for our local churches; followed by '100 Hours of Prayer' for the local churches & many of you, my prayer partners on this prayer email joined us.  And now we come to this last protracted time of prayer, 100 Hours of Prayer for SBC.  God sets His people to pray for His purposes and His will to be done.  And yet, prayer is hard to find among the churches today.  Many know they should pray, but refuse to make time.  Many desire to pray better, but have no teaching on how to pray.  Neither are they around seasoned prayer warriors that can impart what they have learned.  And much of the evil and wickedness of today in our nation, cities and homes, is because, we, as God's people have ceased praying.
