PRAYER EMAIL - SEPTEMBER 2

 Greetings,
"Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done."  

We began the month of August with the 80 hours of Prayer.  Our prayer focus was 3 things - Revival for the church; Spiritual Awakening for the lost masses; and Spirit Filled Christians and Churches.  Our greatest calamity for our day, and for the nation, is a powerless and Presence-less church.  "Where are the miracles that our fore fathers told us about?'  'Where is the Lord God of Elijah?"  And concluded August with a 100 straight hours of fasting.  Out of that fast came this:
7 Prayer Targets for my 'WATCH":
1.  Kingdom;  2.  Self; 3.  Family; 4.  Church; 5.  City; 6.  Nation; 7.  Evil; 
The Lord may add to my watch points, but for now, there is a peace and contentment to keep these 7.  Right now, there is the morning watch and the night watch - 'Watchman, what of the day? -- Watchman, what of the night?"  Goal for the watch is Psalm 55:17, "Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud:  and he shall hear my voice."  Also, Daniel prayed 3 times a day.

So here is what He has given me so far, as an outline for prayer time/watch.  Watching for the Kingdom of our Lord - There are so far 5 focuses for this watch:

1.  The first rule of the catechism - Everything is designed, created and purposed for God's glory.  Let the kingdom of God bring Him glory.  Glorify Thy Name in all the earth, Lord; beginning in me.  'Lord, show me Thy glory."  The focus of this watch is to seek for God's glory to be manifested in the work of the kingdom.  His kingdom is defined by Him in multiple Scriptures, perhaps a more thorough study of 'Kingdom of God".  The kingdom of our Lord is in the minds and hearts of men.  His kingdom come, His will be done, here on earth as it is in heaven.  His will is done in heaven perfectly; so let it be done here through and by the church perfectly.  And how many verses declare to us, 'that for Your glory Names sake' do it.  This is God's will, for His kingdom to come and to be done.  To come to a lost people; to come to the nations; to come to people and show forth His glory.   This is the glory of the Father, Son and Spirit that they ordained with predestination.  For it was their foreknowledge of what would be and what would be needed, for Him to be glorified to not only redeem Israel, but also the Gentiles, you and me.  Glory Glory Glory in Your kingdom O God.  

2.   The one thing to watch and pray for His kingdom - that it be Victorious; Advancing; Overcoming and Conquering.  Who does He do this to?  nations, kingdoms "the kingdoms of this world have become our Lord's"; souls of men and women to bring them to saving knowledge.  Advancing against the darkness, the lies of hell, the love of self and all of Satan's schemes, tactics, and distractions of disturbances in men's lives.  Herein is the victory for His kingdom.  Praying for that advancing, conquering and victory that He receive His just glory and honor.  There is nothing better to pray than for God's kingdom to advance, meaning hell's kingdom must retreat.  Cause the kingdoms against our Lord to crumble, retreat and be defeated on all sides and points.  'Greater is He that is in me, than he that is in the world.'

3.  Fulfillment of Prophecy - 'the gospel shall appear to all men'; praying for this directionally, 'North, South, East, and West';  For when the gospel shall go to all the world, then the end shall be.'  This is the goal, the end that Christ foretold of the kingdom.  And this requires praying for missions, translators, people groups, etc. to fulfill the prophecy of His will and way and Word.  

4.  Truth - 'I am the way, the truth and the life"; His kingdom is spoken and declared upon absolute truth.  We are lost sinners, in need of saving grace through Jesus Christ the Son of God, for the remission, forgiveness and propitiation for sins and atonement.  Truth, there is no other Name among men where by we must be saved, but that Name, Jesus Christ.  Praying for His name to be exalted and known; praying against all other names, that are anti-Christ.  Praying for truth to be preached, prayed, and lived by all His church.  Truth undoes lies;  Truth is of God; lies of Satan, father of lies.  Undo the refuge of lies promoted, preached and planned by hell to counter God's absolute truth.  

5.  Light - 'I am the Light of the world';  Gen. 1  darkness in the beginning, until God said, 'Let there be light'; no light of the sun, moon or stars, for they were not created until the 4th day.  no electricity or powered means, what was the light that shined in darkness; it was He Who is Light, God.  Christ is Light, but men love darkness.  Many nations, 10/40 window are dark and without Light.  Pray for the advancement of Light to shine.  And to bring men out of the darkness of sin, self and Satan.  

This is an outline of what has been given so far in praying the 1st point of the Watch.  I will share more as the Lord allows on the other 7 points.  Thursday Hour of Prayer I have covered this a little more detail.  In regards, to the kingdom of God and our nation, and society.  We are not seeing the advancement of His kingdom in our land, but hell is advancing, and we are retreating.  Churches struggling, closing, pastors and ministers resigning by the 100's.  Evil and sin abounding, power, truth and Light minimized.   An unparalled time is upon us for what we are seeing and hearing.  And worse, more evil news is on the horizon.  All of it will not lead to a better life, or help for the church.  For it is of those that are anti-Christ.  All their woke agendas and culture of abominations, with one target to silence and destroy the church.  For it is the last stronghold that stands against them for good and evil, right and wrong.  The US church will know persecution in the employments of freedom, legalities, economic status.  

Be resolved brethren, to be faithful, stedfast, persevering in the service of our Lord's kingdom.  Pray for His kingdom come and will be done.  War a good warfare against the kingdom of our Lord's enemies.  And remember, it is not just about our backyard, but for all nations, people, kingdoms and individual souls.  blessings,

--Sunday services - Keyser Church at 10 Am; Fox's Hollow - 2 Pm Sunday School, 1st Sunday of months is hour of prayer, the other Sunday School weeks we are going through Revelation; worship at 3 PM:
--Pastors Prayer on 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month at 6 PM;
--Wednesday at 11 AM, Thomas Bush hosts an hour of prayer;

100 HOURS OF PRAYER - DEC. 2023

Prayer Email - 100 Hours of Prayer for SBC - III

Greetings, "men ought always to pray, and not to faint."  Luke 18:1  In the last month, we have had a Solemn Assembly for our local churches; followed by '100 Hours of Prayer' for the local churches & many of you, my prayer partners on this prayer email joined us.  And now we come to this last protracted time of prayer, 100 Hours of Prayer for SBC.  God sets His people to pray for His purposes and His will to be done.  And yet, prayer is hard to find among the churches today.  Many know they should pray, but refuse to make time.  Many desire to pray better, but have no teaching on how to pray.  Neither are they around seasoned prayer warriors that can impart what they have learned.  And much of the evil and wickedness of today in our nation, cities and homes, is because, we, as God's people have ceased praying.
