PRAYER EMAIL - JULY 2

 Greetings,
"ways & doings" - Ezekiel 36; Zechariah 1:4 & 6; Jeremiah 26; 

This is a repeated description from God to His prophets and bringing it before God's people and warning them that their ways and doings are not acceptable to the Lord.  Truly, did not Christ do the same to the 7 churches in Revelation 2 & 3?   Although He did not use the phrase 'ways and doings', His phrase was, 'I know thy works. . . ", thy ways and doings.  Christ expresses that which was pleasing to Him and to the Father, and that which was not pleasing to God.  As we have arrived at over 1/2 way of this year, what has the Lord said, regarding your ways and doings?   What has He said regarding our families? What has He said regarding His bride, our churches where we serve and labor?  and what of our nation in their ways and doings?   

The Christian is ever mindful of their status before the Lord.  Introspection of one's self is an absolute necessity.  Always asking, surmising, and aligning with Scripture to see if our ways and doings are right in His sight.  The Christian knows what is right in the sight of God and what is not; for they are grounded and founded on the Word of God.  They have been taught, the good and right way of the Lord.  And the Holy Spirit is ever prompting within us the rights and wrongs of our choices, decisions, routines, and use of time.  "Am I pleasing to You, O God?"  And the peace that comes upon a child of God, is the words of our Lord, "In you, I am well-pleased."  I don't know of any higher plain to be in this life time.  And truly there is confidence that they will hear 'well done' at the end of their pilgrimage here.

We must examine ourselves.  There are those that seek to short cut this introspection by what has been, or comparison to others.  This will never suffice; it is that which is right with God and His Word and the leading of the Holy Ghost.  Always striving to be more like Christ, into perfection, 'thou shalt be perfect with the Lord thy God' (Deut. 18; Matt. 5)  The Apostle Paul wrote expressed this pursuit of Christ, 'I press on to the high mark of Christ'; 'spend and being spent' for His Name sake.  Brethren, do you see within you your ways and doings aligning with His?   Or are you coming short of His glory?  If the first half of this year, you have come short, or weary, rise up and enter in to His throne room.  There make your surrendered vow afresh, and seek the Lord and He will be found of you and in you.  Remember, 'draw nigh unto Him, and HE will draw nigh unto you'.  He will be faithful to His half of this Divine promise, make sure you are faithful to do your part.

Family - what are the ways and doings of our families?  How hard to find a Christian family in this day and age.  So many saints, who are serving and loving the Lord, yet they are content to see and know of the sins of their children, spouses, siblings.  I am reminded of Eli, the priest, and the high warning that came to him of his two sons, 'and honourest your sons above Me'.  And we can replace any loved one in that word of 'son' that we set them above the Lord.  How often I hear it and see it, 'but that's my spouse, my child, my sibling'.  You honour them more than the Lord.  A severe word of caution, lest you reap what Eli reaped and his two sons - "Ichabod".   Strive in family that your ways and doings are right and set that standard in alliance with God, His Word and the leading of the Holy Ghost.  Scripture is clear in our ways and doings, we are responsible for much, much in each of our role of our families.  Their choices have consequences, just the same as our's; but make sure you are not allowing their choices of sin to go unheeded.   

Church -   blessed are those found who's ways and doings are in pursuit of holiness;  Blessed are they who are hungering and thirsting after righteousness of Christ and in Christ. "Oh, that there was such an heart in them" that they are found here.  Yet, many of the ways and doings of the churches are found in humanism, worldliness and flesh.  Numbers, stats, pride, entertainment, carnality are all signs of the ways and doings that consume churches plans, schedules, and services.  These things of world and flesh do not foster a spirit of holiness in worship, preaching or outside activities, but to satisfy the appetites that draw people.  May the church be holy in its pursuits of all its happenings, plans and schedules.  How can those that never mention "holiness" or 'holy" be found pursuing it?   "Holy" is the Name of God (Isa. 57) and should never be spoken by a Christian in vain.   But let us preach, teach, sing and pray 'Holiness unto the Lord".  Remembering His church is 'to be holy, as He is holy'.  

Nation - ways and doings of our nation in all our descriptions continues to be more of self, than the Savior; more of hell than of heaven; more of flesh, than Spirit, more of time than eternity.  And as this phrase through out the Old Testament examined and judged Israel and Judah for their corruption, wickedness and sin against God, so we are found 'weighed in the balances and found wanting as well'.  The ways and doings of 90% of our population is about self and sin.  God is forgotten, and God is mocked.  and our nation is in danger of hell fire because the church has lost Holy Ghost fire (LR)  Look on our cities, streets, homes and see the great need of our nation is Jesus.  See in the headlines and happenings of our schools, work places and society that they are not for God, but against Him.  And we as those that love our Lord, must be that Light in this darkness; and truth in this world of lies.  We are reaping even now, the judgements of the Lord for our ways and doings.  There comes a cut off date for His Divine mercy.  Seek Him while He may be found, for the future of our nation depends on it.  

This is one of the great phrases in the Bible, that God reproves, rebukes, exhorts and edifies in Scripture.  Much meditation and prayer should go into this.  And seek to live your last half of this year, if the Lord grant you that privilege, to be found pleasing in all your ways and doings of Him.  Confession and repentance of self, family, church and nation for ways and doings that are not pleasing to Him.  And know that revival and spiritual awakening corrects such sinful ways and doings and causes us to pursue holiness like He always intended.  


PRAYER TARGETS:
EPIDEMICS
1.  Drugs/Alcohol - raging stats of death & dying;  1 million deaths since 1999;
2.  Children - neglect - what do they find to suffice for the love of parents, home life, fiends, evil world waiting to swoop them up; abuse - physical, sexual, emotional abuse, and the staggering high percentage of over 80% become what they was as a child, the next generation; sex trafficking, perversion, wickedness;  raised generation without knowledge of God;
3.  LGBT - continued advance on society and generation, in and out of the church;  Texas AG may file court cases to get to Supreme Court to make sodomy law of land again;  2013 was one of our greatest failure;  
4.  Natural Disasters - 2/3 of US now under drought conditions;  TS on east coast; hurricane season revving up;  earthquakes very quiet, due 7.0 and now 8.0;  
5.  Pestilence - covid variant now advancing, B.5;  US still leads in top 5 every night of cases and deaths, worldwide;
6.   Great Evil - with the killing of 3 police officers last night in KY, the month of June saw 13 police officers killed for the month & 36 for the year;  well over 1 per week;   mass shootings continue to surge and some days through June saw 6 & 7 per day, ready to cross 300 for year;  mass murders for 1/2 of year is at 14; murder-suicides are almost at 350 for 1/2 year, and June also saw elevated days of 3 - 5 per day;  
7.   Economy - latest stats show worst economy spike in 40 years;  multiple areas crumpling in finance, money, stocks, shortages, incomes; Currency is an issue, supplies are an issue and time is an issue; be stocked up and ready for whats coming.

This evil of death and dying continues to rapidly increase on all fronts.  Every county, every city, every family, & every church will deal with some death in these or all 6 venues. 

UPDATES:
--bible reading up through Deuteronomy 32; finding more words that I missed on "fear/afraid/terror/dismay"  my last focus was more on 'The fear of the Lord'; so I will need to do a complete study and document next time through each of these references to 'fear' and 'the fear of the Lord';
--The Activity of God - Revelation - my great joy and happiness that this month, Lord allowing, I will finish the huge task of over 4 years;   I'm already up to chapter 7, and only 12 pages remain; looks like 2 weeks;   powerful study of God's Names, attributes and works and deeds;
--A Word blog - up into Jeremiah 19:3; chapter 18, first 13 verses are finished, need to finish up remaining 7 verses started of that last 1/2 of chapter;
--Thursday Hour of Prayer - worship - fear of the Lord, over 400 of these; confession - Ezekiel chapter 36; petitions/supplications/intercessions - is souls, churches, nation, Epidemics and other issues as they come up;
--Monday Bible study - finished up the book of John; no service Monday night due to July 4th; July 11th looking ot start new book of Deuteronomy;
--Sunday services at churches Keyser Church - 10 AM: Fox's Hollow - first Sunday of month is prayer time at 2 PM; worship at 3 PM;
--BBTT is silent at this time; no conferences;  the only plans right now is the 80 hours of prayer, 24/7 in August; and then the 100 Hour of Prayer at the close of the year;

CONTINUE IN PRAYER #2 Invite Letter for 100 Hours of Prayer for SBC

 Greetings, "Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;" Colossians 4;2 We are just under one month away from our "100 Hours of Prayer for SBC". We are set to gather as many from SBC life to have a continual spirit of prayer for the work of God to be done in us and through us. The work of God does not come about by the means of men, but by prevailing prayer. Oh, that every SBC church, over 40,000 were to be powerhouses of prayer for the kingdom of God. Truly such a spirit of prayer would enrich the church to accomplish much of the kingdoms business around the world.
