PRAYER EMAIL - SOLEMN ASSEMBLY

 Greetings,
"Yea, they made their hearts as an adamant stone, lest they should hear the law, and the words which the Lord of hosts hath sent in His Spirit by the former prophets:  therefore came a great wrath from the Lord of hosts.  Therefore it is come to pass, that as He cried, and they would not hear; so they cried, and I would not hear, saith the Lord of hosts."  Zechariah 7:12 - 13

Why a Solemn Assembly?  Our church had an issue with local people misusing the property.  And we set and decided to do the Solemn Assembly to consecrate the property and the church for His purpose and will.  Since we set that time, after Easter, 7 or 8 of our local surrounding counties has seen murder/homicides; our nation has seen the month of May explode with mass shootings and mass murders.   A few weeks ago the SBC sex task force released its report revealing how real and deep our sins are in the church and pulpits.   All of this happening and continues to happen.  I believe this Solemn Assembly to be a Divine moment, for God knew what was coming and happening.  

None of these things shock or seem unbelievable, for this prayer email has been reporting the Prayer Targets showing and revealing God's wrath against us for our great sins, and iniquities.  And it is our sins and iniquities that have separated us from our God as a nation.  The church has not done what is required to warn, teach and make them aware of our folly and the consequences for our choices.  So you call for a Solemn Assembly to make the wrongs right and cry out to God.  But far too many in the church look at this as some Old Testament thing and have never held nor done one.  "When you see these things happening, call for a solemn assembly and cry out to Me."  We started this just for us when we called for a Solemn Assembly; but it has exploded to impact our nation and the church in a greater way than we could have ever foreseen or known.  It is imperative for churches to humble themselves before the Lord and seek His face and cry out to Him, "in wrath remember mercy."

Greg Frizzell, has taught and pointed out that the prayer movement has grown since the 1990's, but no revival, and no victory.  So even though the prayer calls and movement has increased, it is the longest time of prayer that God has not answered without sending  a Divine revival or spiritual awakening.  Why?  Because our churches have not dealt with the sin that remains.  Sin must be addressed, confessed, repented of and our ways and doings examined to see if we align with God.  The church and spiritual leaders are more worried about aligning with the latest trends and fads.  As Greg's book, that he wrote years ago, is as needed today, 'Return to Holiness'.   God has cried to us, through these decades of remedial judgements that we were found in sin, neglect, disobedience and prayerlessness.  And as He cried, and we would not respond rightly, so now, our nation is coming apart and the church is powerless because of prayerlessness and we need God!  So the prayer movement cries, but God has not answered.  We can't exist nor go on without God!  

We should be that emphatic with our resolved to get before God and not leave, till the blessing is given from Him.  I have shared the last weeks through these emails, 'Pay the Price' is what the Lord said and leads.  Every part of our lives to be examined, intents, and come before Him like never before for what is at stake.  The days ahead are getting more troublesome.  The economic voices and indicators are revealing that perhaps by the fall or end of the year, the crash of our system may be nearer than expected.  We will know want, like the other nations; we will know survival mode, like the rest of the world.  And all because we would not respond to Him.  If only a few months remain, why would we not call upon Him and seek mercy?  Because far too many believe and think that this good life of our nation is always going to be.  And that is just not so.  Did not the world think that? And then the flood;  Did not Sodom think that?  Then the fire came.  Did not Israel think that? and then the Assyrians came.  Did not Judah and Jerusalem think that?  Then Babylon came.  Our time is now to respond.  

So we set a time, a date, a place and we call for a Solemn Assembly.  We come before the only One Who can help.  We come to Him, because He is able.  And we come because there is no where else to go.  Gather the people, call for it, and cry out to God.  And this we will do!  Will you join us?  Will you have your own Solemn Assembly?

--bible reading - finished my 57th time through;  word study - fear/afraid/terror/dismay;  Will spend next week rememorizing Psalm 119;  I'm finding each time, that I seem to be losing more and more; may need to do this every 2 months.  Can't afford to lose it.  Will start re-reading middle of June.  No word/or phrase study yet.
--The Activity of God - finished Hebrews, into James;  looking like August to finish, this would be 58th time through.
--A Word  - travelled this week, and lost multiple days;  Jeremiah 17; started all 27 verses, but only half are finished.

CONTINUE IN PRAYER #2 Invite Letter for 100 Hours of Prayer for SBC

 Greetings, "Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;" Colossians 4;2 We are just under one month away from our "100 Hours of Prayer for SBC". We are set to gather as many from SBC life to have a continual spirit of prayer for the work of God to be done in us and through us.
