PRAYER EMAIL - JUNE 18

 Greetings,

"Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, and saying, Where is the promise of His coming?  . . . But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night. . . Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God. . . "  II Peter 3:3, 4, 10, 12;

Are you ready for the end of all things?  We see throughout this passage, the truth of the Lord's coming; and His people looking and being ready for it.  This past week, in a conference, 'Faith Cometh by Hearing", that they are ready to have all languages translated into the Gospel by 2033.  And those translating the Word of God into reading languages, will be ready by 2027/28.  Remember what Christ said in Matthew, 'when the Gospel shall be preached in all kingdoms, then the end shall be."  That time is now looking definitely, like our life time.  It is powerful to think and know that in the next decade, we can see the fulfillment of it all.  But we also know, that the end of time, shall bring the great tribulation and the worst happenings that the world has ever seen.

We shall have to be found as Peter describes, 'ready, looking, stedfast, unmoveable'.  Are you?  Such things are not produced over night.  They are the happenings of the Christian being faithful, day in and day out.  Your daily, regular times with the Lord is the building for the times that are coming.  Blessed are you that cannot survive without your daily bible readings; your daily secret closet prayer times and your times throughout the week of being with God's people in study, worship, corporate praying and preaching.  Blessed are these that speaking weekly and daily about eternity with others.  For all these daily, hourly and moment by moments are building in you that place, heart passion and knowledge of God's grace and glory.

But what shall we say of those that do not know these things?  They are more unfaithful in the spiritual disciplines than they are faithful.  Confession I quite often hear from so many:  "bible times are hit and miss; I start doing well, then miss several days, up and down, but little to no consistency."   Church used to be defined by those that "Every time the doors were open, they was there."  But now, its when they feel like it; and live streams on line are never to replace in person gatherings.  Prayer times, this is the work of the ages, to get men alone with God and pray in the secret closet.  Tell me how your prayer life is and I will tell you how your relationship with Christ is.   Andrew Murray, 'Be much alone with God, and God will be much with you."  Speaking on the permanence of eternity (what I preached last Sunday at Keyser, the need of the hour) - soul winning (days gone by term) - witnessing of casting seeds and bearing fruit for His glory.  We already know the reality of this by answering the questions - 'when was the last time someone approached you about your soul and eternity?'  And when was the last time you engaged someone about their soul and eternity?   The response by much of the church, so far this year, "is no one has asked me; and little have I asked any one about their soul."

But let these above verses and thoughts in this meditation remind you, the end is coming.  And even though it is not much on men's minds today; for us as the church, and that know the Scriptures, we are not in the last days, we are in the end times.    We are watching the unfolding of Scripture right in front of us.  And it will not catch us off guard because we know the certainty of Scripture revealing all this.  We see the judgement on our nation, we see the judgement on our families and homes;  we see it on our streets; and we see it upon the church today.  God is immutable!  He changes not; and that which He did to Israel, He is doing to the church and our nation.  Judgement is more severe on our nation, because the church has lost its passion and fire for holiness and the things of God.

And if ever that is restored, we will see that which many of you are seeking, Real Revival.  I'm so tired of reading of salvations, and moves of God, that only in 3 - 6 months reveal they are worse off than before.  People getting saved, baptized, (church loves to brag on baptisms) only to hear that they didn't even make it 6 months, but back out in sin, out of church and no signs that they was ever truly born again.  I want to see real revival, real spiritual awakening, real Holy Ghost empowerment.  That not only is it white hot in fire when it is falling on men, but the testimony, "it lasts".  I believe the damage that the church makes to often on this is humanism conversion.  The church needs to get its filthy hands off the holy work of God on men's souls.  If men foster salvation through emotions, it will not lasts; but if God does it through the Word, then it lasts.  For what God does lasts.  OH, God do what only You can do and be glorified in it!

And so we conclude with the question of these end times, 'Shall there be another revival, another Pentecost?"   And as I have often stated, "I cannot think that God has burdened many of our minds and hearts to seek this move of God, this Divine visitation, unless HE desired to do it again."   And we are to pursue it like never before, because time is an issue for all of mankind.  Let us not be found of those that grow weary, for they shall never obtain.  Let us not doubt, or be found wavering, 'unbelief shall never receive.'  Let us not lose heart, fervency or desperation, for it matters what we do every day, every hour and moment to moment.  Eternity hangs in the balance for so many.  Time is running out, and it should be one of our catalyst to 'pay the price'.   Nothing hindering; nothing grieving or quenching the Holy Ghost.  But in all things walking with God rightly.   "I am my Beloved's and He is mine."
