SOLEMN ASSEMBLY - INVITE & REASON FOR HAVING - JUNE 5

 Greetings,
"Sanctify ye a fast, call a solemn assembly, gather the elders and all the inhabitants of the land into the house of the Lord your God, and cry unto the Lord, Alas for the day! for the day of the Lord is at hand, and as a destruction from the Almighty shall it come."  Joel 1:14 - 15

The Scripture is clear, especially here in Joel, that when God sends and allows severe judgements to happen, the church is to call for a Solemn Assembly.  Designed specifically to set aside time, place and God's people, the church, to get before God and seek Him for His Divine help.  And out nation and the church and our families are in great trouble.  It is time to seek the Lord; for only the Lord can help us.  We are seeing and experiencing great judgements that are leading to death and dying.  Severe and cataclysmic judgements that are falling upon the church and our nation  We must come together to seek the Lord, call upon His name and ask of Him to send revival and a spiritual awakening.  

We have been here before; with great tragedies and calamities happening upon our land.   They are hastening to destroy our nation and hope for a future.  Time is an issue with all this, as they are dying faster than they are being reached for their eternity.  The church is shrinking, powerless, largely prayerless, and more carnal than spiritual, more temporal than eternal, and more fleshly than holy.   We must seek God for an outpouring of His Holy Spirit and go forth in the Spirit.   The Solemn Assembly is to renew our vows to God.  It is to bring these very specific things before Him, for His help and leading.  And it is to set before the people of God, the ways of God, the Word of God and the will of God to be done through us, by us and upon us.  All are to gather!  

We set this date, right after Easter for our local church desiring to correct a few things.  But it has grown larger and larger with most recent happenings.  The SBC task force, revealing just how long and deep our evil has gone unchecked.  Recent mass murders in our nation, shaking once again people's hearts and consciences.  The church must set forth the Word of God to explain why these things are happening, and what our response before God is to be.  It is not a burden that we, as one church, alone should bear.  Thus, each church and area group of like minded Christians should call and gather for their own Solemn Assembly.  A large group of pastors and churches, do not even know what this is, or how to do one.  We are simply setting an example for others.  But we must respond.  The urgency of the hour is great upon us, and we shall gather we fervency to prevail before Him, for this emergency hour we are in as a nation and as the church.  

Invite:
Your are invited to join us for this Solemn Assembly.  The very act of a Solemn Assembly is to gather the people.  Not just Christians, but all citizens are to join in approaching God on behalf of our nation, families and future.  We have set the date on June 5, the first Sunday of June.  This will be held at Fox's Hollow Baptist Church, Romney, WV, at 2 PM (EST).   In person gathering for those able to join us; and live stream on website - www.brokenbeforethethrone.com; and social media platforms for "Dan Biser" and "A Call for A Solemn Assembly" on facebook and youtube channels.  

Reason for Having:
There have been multiple reasons why I called for this Solemn Assembly.  One, the church hosting, Fox's Hollow Baptist Church, building and property was used by several for evil purposes and literally defiled our sanctuary and property.  We set the Solemn Assembly to cleanse and seek the Lord for the property, building and people.   Secondly, since the time that we have set this date and called for gathering, the SBC Task Force report came out and revealed how much evil has been happening among churches, pastors and leadership that did not handle it properly.   Such sin and evil must be dealt with specifically before the Lord.  We have given an occasion against the Lord.   Lastly, our nation throughout this century thus far, on our watch, has seen remedial judgements increase to EPIDEMICS.  Death and dying is everywhere, largely for souls not prepared for eternity.  Within the last several weeks, numerous mass murders, Supreme Court ruling causing great unrest, and numerous evils advancing that only God can help us with.   Severe judgement on our land is happening, because we have not gotten things right with Him.   The Solemn Assembly seeks to make the wrongs right and respond before the Only One Who can help.

Prayer Email - 100 Hours of Prayer for SBC - III

Greetings, "men ought always to pray, and not to faint."  Luke 18:1  In the last month, we have had a Solemn Assembly for our local churches; followed by '100 Hours of Prayer' for the local churches & many of you, my prayer partners on this prayer email joined us.  And now we come to this last protracted time of prayer, 100 Hours of Prayer for SBC.  God sets His people to pray for His purposes and His will to be done.  And yet, prayer is hard to find among the churches today.  Many know they should pray, but refuse to make time.  Many desire to pray better, but have no teaching on how to pray.  Neither are they around seasoned prayer warriors that can impart what they have learned.  And much of the evil and wickedness of today in our nation, cities and homes, is because, we, as God's people have ceased praying.
