PRAYER EMAIL - MAY 6

 Greetings,
"Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly;  Gather the people, sanctify the congregation. . . "   Joel 2:15 - 16

The book of Joel is an instruction for us today as the church.  When you see these things happening; what things?  The judgements of God.  When you see the judgements of God against our land, families, churches and individuals, call for the Solemn Assembly.  Call for the people to come together to seek the Lord.  And it is always with this hope, 'that God may be intreated.'  For who knows if He will turn and repent of the evil that He thought and is doing to us, and leave a blessing behind..   Others have called for a Solemn Assembly, and I have been for a decade calling for them that the church might assemble and seek the Lord.

"Blow the trumpet. . . '   - sound the alarm;  Cause the people, to see and hear and understand what is going on and why it is going on.   Over the last 2 decades, many are asking, 'what is going on?"  "We've never seen nor heard such things; why?"  And largely the church has failed to point the people to the truth of God's words of warning, judgement and need of repentance.  Our society is failing and self-imploding and the need is great for people to understand what is happening.   Pastors and spiritual leaders should be sounding the trumpet; clearly and loudly.  There is a strange sound coming from such.  Warn the people of what is happening and why it is happening and what we need to do.

"Sanctify a fast. . . "  -  Great need for weekly fasts among the body of Christ.  In the 1700's when the Concerts of prayer were happening, they fasted corporately once a month.  And then later that week, there was gatherings of corporate prayer to cry out to God.  And even though fasting is gaining ground in the church, which is great.  Largely the majority have not heard, nor know of its instruction as a part of this response of God's people before Him to turn away His wrath from us.  A cleansing, a position of being before Him rightly; deny yourself food, drink, sleep and be more before Him, for what is at stake.  

"Call a solemn assembly"  -  The great need to bring God's people together.  Now, I know that the true solemn assembly, is not just the church, but all.  But right now, it is as needful for the church to be brought together to call upon the Lord.  The evil and the judgements have reached epidemic status.  And we are now spilling over to utter death and destruction.  It is unparalled in our day to see this much death and dying from so many venues.  And the worst is yet to come, of war and economic collapse. Thus, gather the people together to seek the Lord.  To make them aware of these things and why and what is happening and what is to come.  And then cry out before Him.   Seek Him like never before, because our future, our existence is at stake.  And His kingdom work must be completed in these last days.  

 The true solemn assembly, will be when the vast majority respond rightly to these things.  Largely many pastors and Christians have not heard nor do they know the value of solemn assemblies.  When they held "The Return" in DC over a year ago, many of the church refused to respond to the invitation.  That moment was great and needed, but largely missed.  When I held 3 live stream videos, due to covid shut down, the remnant largely responded, but the whole was not interested nor concerned.  Concerned? If the affairs of our nation and homes, and the sick state of the church does not rouse you up to seek Him for help, I wonder just what it is going to take.   

So as God leads and commands, I respond.  We are set to hold a solemn Assembly the first Sunday of June at Fox's Hollow, starting at 2 PM.  And we will go as long as needed.  I have asked the local pastors that gather to pray, to also consider joining me and hosting one ourselves for our community and churches.  Pray for us and me as we set forth preparations for this.  May many others respond and hear the blowing of the trumpets for this great hour of need.   Also, we are fasting each Thursday, all day for the desired end of God's glory to come down and revival to impact the churches.   If the church is revived, the great awakening of the lost will be truly converted and born again.   And no doubt, time is an issue; and largely, this may be our last moment to do so.  It may be God extends mercy for time, but all that I am impressed with is, 'this is it, last chance, last moment to respond before it all comes crashing down.'    

PRAYER TARGETS:

EPIDEMICS
I will not list and go through the 7 epidemic of our day this week.  Updates will happen next week. 
I would like to share to major development that is very alarming.  1. within our small region of surrounding counties, we have seen 4 murders, 3 in 3 days.  Our area is rural, small population and we could and have gone years without any murder.  So to have 4 in a month and 3 in 3 days in 3 connecting counties, is unparalleled.  Rise in such evil always should draw an awareness of the church to see and hear the issues and responses of God.  
2.  Suicides - how rare and limited in decades gone by, do hear and more so, to know someone that committed suicide;  But now?  As a raging wildfire spreading through society, no parts of society are left unaffected.  Soon it will be wide spread to include, every church, every school, every work place and every home.  Every family will deal and bury that loved one, largely for many they didn't see it coming.  But, oh brethren! it is here.  Every week, every day, another death of someone crying out that wants help, needs help, but unable to hear or know the help of Christ that is present.  Large areas of multiple suicides are impacting us right now.   I shared last week the 5 on the USS George Washington; Fort Carson has had 10 suicides in 11 months.  Numerous student-athletes in college; a recent cheerleader in GA wrote her suicide letter and posted it just before taking her life, which has impacted many that read that.  Much is said about mental illness, but little is said of demonic influence; and even more less said by the church of victory and overcoming and deliverance.  Sound the trumpet brethren!  and respond!

CONTINUE IN PRAYER #2 Invite Letter for 100 Hours of Prayer for SBC

 Greetings, "Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;" Colossians 4;2 We are just under one month away from our "100 Hours of Prayer for SBC". We are set to gather as many from SBC life to have a continual spirit of prayer for the work of God to be done in us and through us. The work of God does not come about by the means of men, but by prevailing prayer. Oh, that every SBC church, over 40,000 were to be powerhouses of prayer for the kingdom of God. Truly such a spirit of prayer would enrich the church to accomplish much of the kingdoms business around the world.
