THE ACTIVITY OF GOD IN THE BIBLE - GALATIANS & EPHESIANS

  The Activity of God

Going through the Bible, book by book, chapter by chapter, verse by verse, phrase by phrase and word by word to give attention to the following:
--the Names of God;
--the word & deeds of God;
--the sayings of God;
--the attributes of God;

Too often the churches weakness and the Christians weakness is found in this one sin, 'we do not know God'.  We have not studied the Bible, nor Him to learn more of Him.  Seeking that this might be a help for myself and others in this pursuit that each of us 'may grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord.

GALATIANS
Chapter 1
1:1      Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man; but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, Who raised Him from the dead;)       Christ's apostles;  Christ Name - Jesus Christ;  Christ appoints, anoints and calls apostles for the church; God the Father of Christ;  God raised Christ from the dead;  Christ risen from dead;
1:2      And all the brethren, which are with me, unto the churches of Galatia:    Christ's churches;  Christ's brethren;  Church of Galatia;
1:3     Grace be to you and peace form God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ.    God the Father;  Christ Name - Lord Jesus Christ;  God the Father and Christ give grace and peace;
1:4     Who gave Himself for our sins, that HE might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:    Christ gave Himself for our sins;  Christ to deliver us from present evil world;  I will's of God;  God the Fathers will to send Christ and deliver us from sins;
1:5     To Whom be glory for ever and ever, Amen.    God the Father and Christ to be glorified for ever and ever;
1:6      I marvel that ye are so soon removed from Him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:    Christ called them into grace;  Christ grace given unto them from HIs gospel;  Christ gospel the only gospel;   Christ servants removed from Him;
1:7      Which is not another, but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.     Christ church troubled;  Christ gospel perverted by some;
1:8      But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you that that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.     God's angels in heaven;  God's gospel only gospel that should be preached;
1:9     As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you that that ye have received, let him be accursed.     God's gospel preached tot hem;  God's gospel received by them;  God's gospel only gospel, all others are false;
1:10     For do I now persuade men, or God?  or do I seek to please men?  for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.    God to be persuaded;  Christ servant to please Him, not men;
1:11      But I certify you, brethren,, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.    God's gospel preached to them;  God's gospel from God, not man;
1:12      For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.     God's gospel received not of men;  God's gospel not taught by man;  God's gospel came by revelation of Jesus Christ;  Christ revelations of God's gospel to him;
1:13      that I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it:     God's church persecuted by him;  God's church wasted by him;
1:15      But when it pleased God, Who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by His grace,     Please God;  God pleased to separate him by His grace;  God's grace calls men;  God separates men from their mother's womb;
1:16      To reveal His Son in me, that I might preach Him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:     Christ in him;  Christ preached among heathen;
1:17      Neither went I up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me; but I went into Arabia, and returned again unto Damascus.     God's apostles at Jerusalem;  God's apostles before Paul;
1:19      save James the Lord's brother.     Christ earthly brother James;
1:20      Now the things which I write unto you, behold before God, I lie not.     And God said/spoke;  God before by His servants telling the truth;  God's servants do not lie before Him or unto men;
1:22      And was unknown by face unto the churches of Judea which were in Christ:    God's churches;  Christ church in Him;
1:23      But they had heard only, That he which persecuted us in times past now preacheth the faith which once he destroyed.     God's gospel preached;  God preached in faith to them that heard;
1:24     And they glorified God in me.    God glorified;
Chapter 2
2:2      And I went up by revelation, and communicated unto them that gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately to them which were of reputation, lest by any means I should run, or had run, in vain.      God's revelation;  God's gospel communicated to them;  God's gospel preached among Gentiles;
2:4      And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which wed have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage:    God's brethren had false converts among them; Christ Jesus servants have liberty; God's church sought to bring to bondage;
2:5      that the truth of the gospel might continue with you.     God's gospel to continue with them;
2:6      But of these who seemed to be somewhat, (whatsoever they were, it maketh no matter to me:  God accepteth no man's person:) for they who seemed to be somewhat in conference added nothing ot me:      God accepts no mans person;
2:7      But contrariwise when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter;     God's gospel to uncircumcised and circumcised;
2:8      (For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship fo the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles:)      God wrought effectually in Peter to be apostle of circumcision;  God wrought might in Paul to be apostle of uncircumcised;
2:9       And when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship; that we should go unto the heathen, and they unto the circumcision.    God's grace given to them;  God's servants and gospel to go unto heathen and circumcised;
2:14       But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Peter before them all, If thou, being a Jew, livest after the manner of the Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why compellest thou, the Gentiles to live as do the Jews?      God's children not walking uprightly;  God's gospel truth not followed;  God's children corrected;
2:16      Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law:  for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.     Christ Jesus to have faith in for justification;  Christ Jesus believed in;  Christ to have faith in to be justified;
2:17      But if while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin?  God forbid.    Christ sought for justification;  Christ is not solely a minister of sin;  God forbids;
2:19      For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God.     God to be lived unto;
2:20     I am crucified with Christ:  nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me:  and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, Who loved me, and gave Himself for me.    Christ servants crucified with Him;  Christ lives in His servants;  Christ Name - Son of God;  Christ servants live by faith in Him;  Christ loved me;  Christ gave Himself for me;
2:21      I do not frustrate the grace of God:  for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.     God's grace to not be frustrated;  Christ death is not in vain by works of man through law;
Chapter 3
3:1      O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?    Christ church bewitched by false teachers;  Christ truth to be obeyed;  Christ Jesus eyes watching and seeing;  Christ crucified;
3:2      This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?    God's Spirit received not by works of law;  God's Spirit received by faith;  God's truth heard by faith;
3:3      Are ye so foolish?  having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?    God's servants not to be foolish;  God's Spirit having begun in;
3:5      He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?     God's Spirit ministers through miracles;  God's work done by hearing of faith;
3:6      Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.     God believed in;  God accounts his faith for righteousness;
3:7      Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.    God's children have faith in Him;  God's children of faith called children of Abraham;
3:8      And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.      And God said/spoke;  God foresaw all things, Omnipresent; God justify heathen through faith;  God's gospel preached;  God promised Abraham that through him all nations would be blessed;
3:9      So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.   God's children of faith;  God's children blessed through faithfulness of Abraham;
3:10      For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse:  for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.    and God said/spoke;  God's book of the law;  God curses;  God knows who continues in all things and who does not;  God knows who does all and who does not do all;
3:11      But no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident:  for, The just shall live by faith.      God's sight;  and God said/spoke;  God's just live by faith in Him;  God sees and knows men's choices;
3:14      That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.     God's blessing to come upon Gentiles through Jesus Christ;  Christ bring forth blessing;  God's Spirit promised to come through faith;  Holy Ghost to come upon those through faith;
3:16       Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made.  HE saith no, And to seeds, as of man; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.    God made promises to Abraham;  God through Abrahams seed bring forth promises of Christ;  Christ is fulfillment of promised seed;
3:17       And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.     God made covenant;  God in Christ confirmed covenant promise;  God's covenant cannot disannul;
3:18      For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise:  but God gave it to Abraham by promise.     God's promise of inheritance through law;  God gave it to Abraham through promise;
3:19      Wherefore then serveth the law?  It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.     God gave law because of transgressions of man;  God made promise to bring it to pass;  God's angels ordained it;  God's mediator;
3:20   Now, a mediator is not a mediator of one but God is one.    God is one;  God in Christ is mediator;
3:21      Is the law then against the promises of God?  God forbid:  for if there had been a  law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law.    God's promises not against the law;  God's promises and righteousness, not law to give life;
3:22       But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of  Jesus Christ  might be given to them that believe.      And God said/spoke;    God's promise of faith through Christ;  Christ Name - Jesus Christ;  Christ give promise to them that believe by faith;
3:23      But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.      God's children have faith in His word;  God's faith revealed to them that believe;
3:24      Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.     Christ children to be brought unto Him;  God justifies by faith His followers;
3:25      But after that faith is come we are no longer under a schoolmaster.     God's children have faith in Him;
3:26       For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.     God's children;  Christ Jesus to have faith in Him by His children;
3:27       For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.      Christ baptized unto;  Christ put on by believers;
3:28      For there is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female:  for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.     Christ Jesus has all believers in Him;
3:29      And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.     Christ followers;  Christ's seed is Abraham's heirs;  God's children are heirs according to His promise by faith;
Chapter 4
4:3      Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world:     God's children were in bondage;
4:4      But when the fulness of time was come, God sent forth His Son made of a woman, made under the law,       God sends His Son;  Christ made of a woman;  Christ under the law;
4:5      To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.     God's desire to redeem them that were under the law;   God to adopt them as sons of God;
4:6       And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.     God's sons;  God sent forth Holy Spirit;  God's Sons Spirit sent into hearts of believers;  God's Name - Abba, Father;  God's sons call Him Abba, Father;
4:7      Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.    God followers and believers are sons;  God's heirs;  Christ followers are heirs of God and sons of God;
4:8       Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye did service unto them which by nature are no gods.     God not know;
4:9     But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again tot he weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?     God known;  God knows His Own;  God's children turn away from Him;  God's children desire to be in bondage again;
4:13      Ye know how through infirmity of the flesh I preached the gospel unto you at the first.    God's gospel preached;  God's gospel - And God said/spoke;
4:14      but received me as an angel of God, even as Christ Jesus.    Christ Name - Christ Jesus;  God's angels;  Christ children received by one another;
4:19       My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you.     Christ's church travailed for;  Christ to be formed in Christians and His church;
4:22      For it is written     And God said/spoke;
4:27      For it is written       And God said/spoke;
4:29       But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now.     God's Spirit born he that is persecuted;
4:30      Nevertheless what saith the scripture?     And God said/spoke;
4:31      So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free.      God's children and church are children of the free woman, not the bondwoman;
Chapter 5
5:1       Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.      Christ hath made church free;  Christ church to stand fast in their freedom;  Christ church not to be yoked in bondage;
5:2       Behold, I Paul say unto you that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.     Christ shall profit nothing to those that seek the flesh of circumcision;
5:4       Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.      Christ servants that seek flesh of circumcision He is no effect to them;  God's grace men fall from;
5:5      For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.     God's Spirit helps His children to wait for hope of righteousness by faith;  God's children have faith in Him and His work of righteousness;
5:6       For Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.     Christ Name - Jesus Christ;  Christ knows what avails and what does not avail;  Christ servants avail by faith working by love;
5:7      Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth?     God's servants to run well for His glory;  God's servants hindered;  God's truth not obeyed;
5:8      This persuasion cometh not of Him that calleth you.    God calls them;
5:10      I have confidence in you through the Lord, that ye will be none otherwise minded:  but he that troubleth you shall bear his judgment, whosoever he be.     God gives confidence toward one another in the church for His work;  God's servants to be none otherwise minded in the work of God;  God shall judge those that trouble His children;
5:11      And I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why do I yet suffer persecution?  then is the offence of the cross ceased.    God's truth preached;  God's servant face persecution for preaching truth;  Christ cross is an offence to the world;
5:13     For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.    God calls His church to liberty;  God's children to serve one another;
5:14      For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.     And God said/spoke;   God's word fulfilled in love;  God's servants to love one another;
5:16     This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.    God's Spirit to be walked in by His servants;  God's children to not fulfill lust of the flesh;
5:17      For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh:  and these are contrary the one to the other:  so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.     God's Spirit against flesh and flesh against His Spirit;  God's children cannot do right things without Spirit;
5:18      But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.    God's Spirit leads His children;
5:21      as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.      God's kingdom not inherited by those that have fruits of flesh;
5:22      But the fruit of the Spirit is      God's Spirit has fruits to be lived and done;
5:22 - 23   God's fruits of the Spirit listed;
5:24      And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.     Christ's servants crucify the flesh with the affections and lusts of the flesh;
5:25       And if we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.     God's Spirit to be lived in by God's children;  God's Spirit to be walked in by His servants;
Chapter 6
6:1        Brethren if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.     God's church spiritual leaders to restore;  God's Spirit of meekness to be upon the body of Christ;
6:2      Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.     Christ law to be fulfilled by His servants;
6:6      Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things.    God's word taught and communicated;  And God said/spoke;
6:7       Be not deceived; God is not mocked:  for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.    God is not mocked;  God's rule for man, what you sow is what you reap;
6:8     For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.      God's Spirit sowed to;  God's Spirit reap;  God's gift of everlasting life;
6:10      As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.     God's church is the household of faith;  God's servants to take advantage of opportunities to serve Him;
6:12      only lest they should suffer persecution for the cross of Christ.    Christ cross;  Christ servants shall suffer persecution;
6:14      But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.     God forbids, men to glory in self;  God's glory in the cross of Christ;  Christ Name - Lord Jesus Christ;  Christ cross;
6:15       For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision , but a new creature.     Christ Name - Christ Jesus;  Christ avails nothing in circumcision or uncircumcision;  Christ avails a new creature;
6:16       And as many as walk according ot this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.    God of Israel;  God upon those that walk rightly;   God's peace;  God's mercy on faithful walkers of the faith;
6:17      From henceforth let no man trouble me:  for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus.    Christ Name - Lord Jesus;  Christ servants bear marks of Christ on their bodies yielded unto Him;
6:18      Brethren, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.  Amen.    Christ Name - Lord Jesus Christ;  Christ grace upon the brethren;  Christ grace be with the brethren's spirits in service to Him;

EPHESIANS
Chapter 1
1:1      Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus.    Christ Jesus apostles;  I will's of God;  God's will to the saints;  God's church at Ephesus;  Christ Jesus  faithful servants;
1:2      Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.     God's grace and peace to HIs church;   God the Father;  God the Lord Jesus Christ;  God the Father and Christ grace and peace;
1:3      Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:     God the Father;  God the Father of Lord Jesus Christ;  Christ Name - Lord Jesus Christ;  God blesses;  God blesses with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ;  Christ makes way for heavenly places of spiritual blessings;
1:4       According as He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should holy and without blame before Him in love:     God chose us;  God's servants in Him before the foundation of the world;  God was in the beginning;  God's servants to be holy and without blame before Him in love;  God's servants before Him in love;  God's servants love Him;
1:5       Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will.    God predestinated saved souls;  God adopted HIs children by Jesus Christ;  God unto Himself adopted children through Jesus Christ;   Please God;  I will's of God;  God's will of good pleasure does this;
1:6      To the praise of the glory of His grace, wherein He hath made us accepted in the beloved.     God's grace to be praised of His glory;  God's glory praised;  God hath made us accepted in the beloved;  God's beloved;
1:7      In whom we have redemption through HIs blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace;     God redeems us in His blood;  Christ blood redeems and forgives of sins;  God's grace is rich in redemption and forgiveness of sins;
1:8     Wherein He hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;     God abounds toward us in all wisdom and prudence;  God is wisdom;  God is prudent;
1:9      Having made known unto us the mystery of HIs will, according to His good pleasure which HE hath purposed in Himself:      God manifests HIs mystery of His will;   I will's of God to make known HIs mystery;  God's mystery;  Please God;  God's good pleasure He hath purposed in Himself;  God's purpose in Himself;
1:10      That in the dispensation of the fulness of times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in Him:      God gather together all things in Christ;  God gather those things in heaven and earth, even in Him;
1:11      In Whom also we have obtained an inheritance, begin predestinated according ot the purpose of Him Who worketh all things after the counsel of His Own will:     God's children obtain inheritance;  God predestinated according to His purpose;   God's purpose;  God works all things after counsel of His Own will;  I will's of God;  God wills after His counsel;
1:12      That we should be to the praise of HIs glory, who first trusted in Christ.    God's praise and glory;  Christ followers who first trusted Him;  Christ trusted;
1:13     IN Whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation:  in Whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise,      Christ trusted;  God's word of truth heard;  And God said/spoke;   God's gospel of salvation;  God and Christ believed in;  God seals with the Holy Spirit;  Holy Spirit promised by God;
1:14      Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of His glory.     God's redemption;  God's glory praised;
1:15      Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,      Christ is Lord Jesus;  Christ servants have faith in Him;  God's saints loved;
1:16      Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;     God prayed too;  God given thanks;  God's saints prayed for;
1:17       That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him:     God of Lord Jesus Christ;  Christ Name - Lord Jesus Christ;  God is Father;  God of glory;  God gives spirit of wisdom and revelation in knowledge of Him;  God's knowledge of Himself given to saints;
1:18      the eyes of your understanding being enlightened that ye may know what is the hope of His calling, and what the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the satins,     God's calling of hope to be made known;  God's riches of glory inherited;  God's saints inherit riches of His glory;
1:19       And what is the exceeding greatness of His power to usward who believe, according to the working of HIs mighty power,      God's exceeding greatness of power to usward;    God believed in;  God's mighty power working;
1:20       Which He wrought in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead, and set Him at HIs Own right hand in the heavenly places.       God worked in Christ;  God raised Christ from the dead;  Christ raised from dead;   God set Him at His right hand;  God's right hand;   Christ seated at God's right hand;  God and Christ in heavenly places;
1:21       Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, an devery name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:      Christ Name far above all other names;  Christ Name that is Named in this world and the world to come;  Christ Name above all other principality, and power and might and dominion;
1:22      And hath put all thing sunder His feet, and gave Him to be the head over all things to the church,       God has put all things under Christ feet;  Christ feet;  God gave Christ to be head over all things to the church;  Christ is head of church;
1:23     Which is HIs body, the fullness of Him that filleth all in all.     Christ church is HIs body;  Christ fullness fills all things;  Christ fullness;
Chapter 2
2:1      And you hath He quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;     God quickens those dead in trespasses and sins;  God quickens us;
2:4      But God, Who is rich in mercy, for His great love wherewith He loved us,     God is rich in mercy;  God's great love;  God loved us;
2:5     Even when we were dead in sins hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)     God quickened us together with Christ;  God's grace saves;
2:6      And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.    God raises us up together;  God makes us to sit together in heavenly places;  Christ Jesus makes this possible;
2:7      That in the ages to come He might shew the exceeding riches of His grace in HIs kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.    God to show great riches of His grace;  God's grace;  God's kindness;  Christ Jesus makes this possible and happen;
2:8      For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves:  it is the gift of God.    God's grace saves through faith;  God's children to have faith in Him;  God's gift is this;
2:10      For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.      God's children are His workmanship;  Christ Jesus created us as His workmanship;  God's children created to do good works;  God ordained before that we should walk in them;
2:12       That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:     Christ was not a part of them;  God's covenant of promise not received by them as yet;  God's servants before they came to Him were without hope, and without God;
2:13      But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.     Christ Jesus they are now in Him;  Christ blood makes us night to Him;  Christ near to;
2:14      For He is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;      Christ is our peace;  Christ hath made us one;  Christ broke down middle wall of partition;
2:15       Having abolished in His flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in Himself of twain one, new man, so making peace;     Christ in the flesh, Incarnate;  Christ abolished enmity between God and man;  Christ makes twain one;  Christ makes man to have peace;
2:16      And that He might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:     Christ might reconcile us to God in one body by the cross;  Christ cross;  Christ slew the enmity;
2:17      And came and preached peace, to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.    Christ came to earth from heaven;  Christ preached peace;  Christ preached to those afar off and to those near;
2:18      For through Him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father,     Christ gives us access to Father;  God the Father we have access to;  God's Spirit makes us to have access to Father;
2:19       Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;     God's children no more strangers and foreigners;  God's children are fellow citizens with the saints;  God's household;
2:20      And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;      Christ Jesus is the chief corner stone;
2:21      IN whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:      Christ causes the building to be fitly framed together;  Christ grows it unto an holy temple in God;  God's holy temple;
2:22     In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.    God's Spirit builds us together in God;   God's habitation through Christ builded together;  Christ builds us together unto God through the Spirit;
Chapter 3
3:1       For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles,    Christ Jesus prisoner, the apostle Paul to the Gentiles;
3:2      If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward:      God's grace;  God's dispensation of grace heard of and given;
3:3      How that by revelation He made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words,      And God said/spoke;  God's revelations made known to Paul;  God's mystery manifested;
3:4      Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)      And God said/spoke;   Christ mystery understood;
3:5        Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto His Holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;     God's mystery not made known to other ages;  God's mystery now made known;  God reveals mystery to His Holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;  God's Spirit makes known to apostles and prophets;  God's Holy apostles and prophets;
3:6       That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of His promises in Christ by the gospel:     God's fellowheirs;  God's body one and the same;  God's promises;  God's children partake of His promises;  Christ gospel helps partake of His promises;
3:7      Whereof I was made a minster, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of His power.    God's ministers;  God's gift of grace given;  God's power working effectually; Omnipotent;
3:8     Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ:     God's saints;  God's grace given;  God's gospel preached;  Christ unsearchable riches;
3:9      And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, Who created all things by Jesus Christ.     God's mystery from the beginning created;   God's mystery hid in Him;  God created all things by Jesus Christ;  Christ created all things with God in the beginning;
3:10      To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,     God's heavenly places;  God's church;  God's wisdom;
3:11      According to the eternal purpose which He purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:      God's eternal purpose;   God purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord;  Christ Name - Christ Jesus our Lord;
3:12      In Whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of Him.     Christ gives boldness and access with confidence;   Christ church have faith in Him for these things;
3:14      For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.     God the Father;  God the Father of our Lord Jesus  Christ;  Christ Name - Lord Jesus Christ;   God and Christ bowed before on his knees in prayer;
3:15       Of Whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named.     God's whole family in heaven and earth;  God's creation named;
3:16      That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man;     God asked to grant prayer;  God's glorious riches;  God's Spirit to strengthen the inner man;
3:17       That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,     Christ dwell in hearts of faith;  God's children to be rooted and ground in His love;
3:18       May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;     God's saints to comprehend of His love;
3:19       And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.     Christ love to be known;  God's fulness to fill them;
3:20        Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according the power that worketh in us,      God is able;   God able to do exceeding abundantly above all the we ask or think;   God's power works in us;
3:21       Unto Him be glory in the church by \Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end.  Amen.     God's glory in His church;  Christ Jesus to give glory of God to church;
Chapter 4
4:1       I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,     Christ prisoner;  Christ servants to walk worthy of vocation called upon them;  God calls servants to vocation for Him;
4:2       With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;    God's servants to have His attributes;  God's attributes displayed by His church lowliness, meekness, longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;  God's Divine love;
4:3       Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.      God's Spirit is one wiht Father and Son;  God's Spirit keeps unity in bonds of peace;  God's Spirit gives peace;
4:4      There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;     God is One; God's Spirit makes the body one;  God calls in one hope;
4:5      One Lord, one faith, one baptism,      God is One;  Lord is One;  God has one faith;  God gives one baptism;
4:6       One God and Father of all who is above all and through all, and in you all.      God the Father;  God is One;  God above all;  God through all; God in you all;
4:7       But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.      God's grave given;  Christ gift measured out;
4:8      Wherefore HE saith, When HE ascended up on high, He led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.     And God said/spoke;   Christ ascended up on high;  Christ led captivity captive;  Christ gave gifts unto men;
4:9       (Now that He ascended, what is it but that HE also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?     Christ ascended;  Christ also descended;  Christ went into lower parts of the earth;
4:10       He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that He might fill all things.)       Christ descended;  Christ ascended up above all heavens;  Christ fill all things;
4:11      And HE gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;        Christ gives some apostles, prophets, evangelists; pastors and teachers;
4:12       For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:      Christ saints to be perfected;   God's work of ministry in the church;  God's body of church edified;  Christ body edified;
4:13       Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:     God's body to come in unity of the faith;  God's body to come in the knowledge of Christ;  Christ the Son of God come in faith and knowledge of Him by His church;  God to perfect man;  Christ fulness of His stature for His saints;
4:15       But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into Him in all things, which is the head , even Christ:     God's children speak His truth in love;  God's truth;  God's church to grow up in Him in all things;  Christ to be grow up to be like Him in all things;  Chris tis the head;
4:16        From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.      Christ body fitly joined together;  Christ body compacted by every joint supplies;  Christ body maketh increase unto edifying of itself in love;  God's love increases;
4:17       This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind.      God testified by to them;  God's children to not walk as Gentiles walk, in vanity;
4:18       Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart.      God's knowledge darkened by them;  God's life alienated from by their ignorance;  God's ignorance by their heart being blinded;
4:20       But ye have not so learned Christ;      Christ learned rightly;
4:21       If so be that ye have heard Him, and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus:      Christ heard;  Christ taught of them;  Christ is truth;
4:23       And be renewed in the spirit of your mind:      Christ church to be renewed in spirit of their minds in Him;
4:24       And that ye put on the new man, which after God is credited in righteousness and true holiness.      God's children to put on the new man;  God is righteous and true holiness;  God puts this into new man;
4:25      Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbor:  for we are members one of another.     God's children to speak truth as He speaks truth and is truth;  God's church one body of members;
4:26      Be ye angry and sin not:    God's children to not be angry, nor to sin;
4:27      Neither give place to the devil.      God's children to not give place ot the devil;
4:29       Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.     God's children to not speak corruption;  God's children to edify with God's grace;
4:30      And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.     God's Spirit holy;  Holy Ghost to not be grieved;  God seals servants to day of redemption;  God redeems;
4:31   What God's children are not to do or be;
4:32       And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.     God's children kind to one another as God is kind;  God forgives; God's children to forgive one another;   God for Christ's sake forgave us;  Christ sake accepted by God to forgive us sinners;
Chapter 5
5:1      Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;     God to be followed by His followers;  God's children follow Him;
5:2      And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given Himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savour.     Christ loved us;  Christ followers walk in love as He did;  Christ gave Himself for us unto God;  God receives sacrifice and offering of Christ for us;  Christ offering and sacrifice unto God was a sweet smelling savour;
5:3      But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;      God's saints;  God's children to not have these sins named among them;
5:4       Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient:  but rather giving of thanks.       God's children to not have filthiness, foolish talking or jesting, or covetousness;  God's children to give thanks;
5:5        For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.   God's kingdom;  Christ kingdom;  God's inheritance to His children;  Christ's followers receive inheritance;  God's church to not receive inheritance with these sins listed;
5:6       Let no man deceive you with vain words; for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.     God's children to not be deceived;  God's wrath comes upon them;
5:7     Be ye therefore partakers with them.      God's children warned to not partake with them;
5:8       For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord:  walk as children of light:     God's children used to walk in darkness;  God's light;  God's children now walk in His light;
5:9       (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)      God's Spirit gives fruit in goodness, righteousness and truth;
5:10       Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.    God's acceptance;
5:11    God's children given instruction to have no fellowship with sin; God's children to reprove works of darkness;
5:13      But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light:  for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.     God's light manifests itself;  God's light reproves works of darkness;  God manifests;
5:14      Wherefore He saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.     And God said/spoke;   God commands to awake;  God commands to arise from the dead;  Christ gives light;
5:15   God's children to walk rightly;
5:16   God's children called to redeem the time;
5:17       Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.      I will's of God;  God's will to be understood and to do it;
5:18      And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;      Holy Ghost to fill His children;
5:19       Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;      God's church to speak and sing in psalm, hymns and spiritual songs;  God's children in their hearts to sin and make melody unto Him;
5:20      Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;      Christ Name - Lord Jesus Christ;  God to be thanks for all things;  God the Father;  God the Father thanked in Name of Christ;
5:21      Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.    God's children submit to another in fear of the Lord;  the fear of the Lord;
5:22       Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.     God to be submitted to;  God's children, wives submit to husband;
5:23      For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church:  and He is the saviour of the body.     Christ is head of church;  Christ is Saviour of the body, the church;
5:24      Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.     Christ church subject to Him;  Christ's followers, wives subject to husbands;
5:25       Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave Himself for it;     Christ loved the church;   Christ gave Himself for it;
5:26       That He might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word.      Christ to sanctify and cleanse the church;  God's word to cleanse;
5:27       That HE might present it to Himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that is should be holy and without blemish.      God to present to Himself a glorious church;  God's church glorious, without spot, wrinkle or any such blight;   God's church to be holy and without blemish;
5:29      For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:     Christ loves His church;  Christ nourisheth and cherisheth the church;
5:30      For we are members of His body, of His flesh, and of His bones.    Christ's body;  Christ's flesh;  Christ's bones;  Christ followers are members of HIs church;
5:32      This is a great mystery:  but I speak concerning Christ and the church.      Christ church;
Chapter 6
6:1      Children obey your parents in the Lord:  for this is right.     Christ is Lord;  Christ commands of children to obey parents in Him;   Christ righteousness to keep God's commands;
6:2       Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise;    God's commands;  the Lord commanded;  God's promises;
6:4       And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath:  but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.     God's admonition;  God's children to be brought up by parents in fear of the Lord;
6:5      Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ;      God's fear and trembling to do right;  Christ to be served with singleness of heart with fear and trembling;  the fear of the Lord;
6:6       Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;     Christ's servants;   I will's of God;  God's will to do from the heart His service;
6:7       With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men;      God's service with good will to be done;
6:8       Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.      Christ the Lord;  Christ shall give and His servants shall receive for to do good for Him;
6:9       And, ye masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening:  knowing that your master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of persons with Him.       Christ is Master;  Christ in heaven;  God has nor respect of persons with Him;
6:10       Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might.      Christ's church, His brethren;  God to be strong in;  God's might to give power
6:11       Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.      God's whole armour to be put on;  God's servants to be able to stand against wiles of the devil;
6:12       For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities against powers against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.     God's church and children wrestle not against flesh and blood;  God's church and children wrestle against spiritual world and powers;
6:13       Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all to stand.     God's whole armour to be put on His children;  God's children to stand;
6:14       Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;     God's children to stand in Him;  God's truth to be taken;  God's righteousness to be borne;
6:15      And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;      God's gospel of peace to be taken by His children;
6:16       Above all taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.     God's children to take shield of faith;   God's children have faith in Him;
6:17       And the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;    God's salvation to be borne by His children;  God's Spirit is the sword;   God's word;  And God said/spoke;
6:18        Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;      God's children to pray in all prayer and supplication unto Him;  God's Spirit to lead and help them in praying;  God's saints to be prayed for and watched over by His church;
6:19       And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel.     God's gospel to be made known;   God's servants to be bold and utterance given to them of the Gospel of Christ;
6:20       For which I am an ambassador in bonds:  that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.     God's ambassadors;   God's servants to speak boldly;
6:21       But that ye also may know my affairs, and how I do Tychicus, a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, shall make known to you all things:     God's ministers;  God's servants to be faithful;
6:23       Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.      God's children to have peace, love and faith from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ;  God is Father;  Christ Name - Lord Jesus Christ;
6:24       Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity.  Amen.      God's grace to be to all His church;  Christ Name - Lord Jesus Christ;  Christ to be loved by HIs children in sincerity;
