PRAYER EMAIL - MARCH 26

 Greetings,
"where prayer was wont to be made"  - Acts16:13

We come to the last week of March, finishing the 3rd month of the year and 1/4 of the year is now complete.  How often do you take introspection of your spiritual walk with the Lord?  

Where is 'prayer wont to be made', for you?  Here the Apostle Paul found it on the sabbath day, at the river.  And they were able to share the gospel with the women that were there.  Paul had just received the heavenly vision to go over to Macedonia and help them.  And by the conclusion of this chapter, the demon would be rebuked in the woman, the jailor and all his family will be saved.  We all know that it was the power of God displayed and the kingdom advanced, because 'prayer was wont to be made'.  And we all know that it is the prayerlessness of men, where 'prayer was not made' that allowed for hell to advance.  

Are you in your secret closet enough?  Have you been faithful thus far this year?  There is no better place than that place.  Take the wisdom and faithfulness of great men who labored much on their knees before the throne for His kingdom come and His will to be done.  May we all be termed 'Camel knees', like Ed Payson, John of the Cross, who when they died it was noted that they spent so much times on their knees, they were calloused, like camels, thus the term.  Who among us has camel knees?   Men don't want to kneel any more; men don't want to enter the secret closet.  Too much praying among commotion of society, work, family.  No wonder men can't hear what the Spirit is saying, 'they have all the voices of the world in their ears.   Yes, you can pray any where and at any time.  But praying everywhere does not make it the best place. Thus the instruction of Christ, 'when you enter in, shut the door and pray.'   'Where prayer is wont to be made.'  

Where prayer is wont to be made.  My house shall be a house of prayer, but you have made it a den of thieves.  Two things that the church, and you and I, should be striving for in these days and all our life:  1.  to make the house of God, a house of prayer;  2.  to make each man and woman of Christ to be a person of prayer.   These two things are the foundation to everything else in the spiritual disciplines and the work of the kingdom.  Many men preach and teach, but without prayer they have no anointing.  Many men and women can sing with powerful God giving voices, but without prayer the message and the music avail nothing.  Many men evangelize among humanity, but without prayer, there is no power and Presence of the Holy Ghost to convict and convert the souls of men.  We have church and services all week, but without prayer, its no better than a social club.  There is no availing without prevailing in prayer!  And even though many leaders know this and agree, still they do not advance prayer very much in their realm of influence.   Make the areas of your life to be a place where prayer was wont to be made.

where prayer was wont to be made.  We are in a generation that has seen evil and abominations arisen like never before, in such a rapid pace.  The forces of hell claiming more souls, families and whole generations.  More evil of men's minds and hearts pushing individual sins to happen at EPIDMIEC proportions.  The EPIDMICS in the last 15 years, that I have been keeping, studying and praying against, have risen from single digit happenings, to record, historic settings of 1000's and 100,000's.   God is sending these EPIDEMICS for our destruction.  The cause is our nation, the churches and our families are in rebellion against God.  The legalization and judicial edicts that promote abominations and refuse the Lord's word.  Man's minds and hearts are given over to reprobate minds and their practice is one of continual evil against themselves and others.  No one is safe in this day and age.  And with such evil and such EPIDEMICS where is the cry, the anguish, the great destruction through death and dying made?  Where is prayer wont to be made for these things?  And we certainly know that we cannot pray this and be 'one and done'.  This is a perpetual prayer of great significance.  For if we do not prevail against this evil, there will be no future for our nation.  The cup of God's wrath is tipping over for our own demise.  

How late is the hour for our nation?  We are sitting in the Babylon court room.  The hand writing is on the wall from God.  Daniel is announcing, 'you are weighed in the balance and found wanting'; 'tonight thy soul shall be required of thee.'  Death and dying, and many tonight shall die in their sins, without Christ and into an eternal hell forever and ever.  Each day, in this nation and world wide, death is ushering them out into eternity faster than the church is reaching them with the Gospel.  This night let there be found in you a time and place where prayer is wont to be made.  And tomorrow during church services, let there be called for corporate prayer in our houses of worship and turn them into houses of prayer.  A place where God's people are together and prayer was wont to be made!!

NOTE:  this month there has been two reported Divine outpourings of God's mercy in meetings.  CT Townsend in NC reported that God came down upon their church service last week, 45 came to Christ;  Carter Conlon reported that at an youth conference in PA, at the conclusion of that meeting, all stayed afterwards and cried out to God and He filled that place.  
I have noted this to share, and I am more resolved to understand that God is pouring out this mercy drops in remote places.  He does this before the full wrath and judgement is poured out.  Whether a full scale of revival happens to the church body or not I know not;  but prayers should be made without ceasing for this as well as the things mentioned above.  

BBtT - the great need among the church right now is to hosts and have Solemn Assemblies.  The purpose of the Solemn Assemblies is to set before the people our condition, God's mandates and required response to sin of the nation, church, families and personal.  And to seek, cry out and lament for where we are.  And seek for mercy and a Divine outpouring that is so desperately needed.  Pray that God may open doors for such things to be.  

PRAYER TARGETS:

EPIDEMICS
1.  Drugs/Alcohol -   alcohol deaths reported from last year, exceed 100,000 for first time;  so now we have 100,000 deaths due to opiate and fentanyl deaths; and now 100,000 alcohol related deaths; Judgement of death and dying and destruction of our nation; God is systemically removing us; 

2.  Children - continued abuse, news headlines, reports of physical, sexual and mental abuse upon these that are supposed to protected and shielded from harm;  schools, homes, churches and evil men of sex trafficking;  MD & Colorado laws to allow murder of babies after born - claim abortion protection;

3.  LGBT - continued acceptance and compromise with abomination;  "how would you define a woman?" - No answer, except to push off to a biologist;  Have we really come to this point? Utah overrides veto of governor on transgender athletes;   

4.  Pestilence - covid reaches 1 million death in US:  new variant sweeping world, South Korea and Europe hardest hit with cases;  US cases down to 100's, but deaths still running highest in world;

5.  Natural Disasters - earthquakes increased heavily this past week, activity up to 130 - 150;  tornados hit New Orleans, a few deaths, but great property damage;  more storms in south this week;

6.  Great Evil -    mass shootings, running at historic 2 per day;  murder-suicides over 1 and 1/2  per day heading 2 per day;  

7.  Economy -

--bible reading - passed 1/2 way through this week at Psalms 103; 1/2 way is Psalm 103:1-2;  up into Proverbs 12;  word study - fear/terror/afraid;
--The Activity of God - T-88 pages to go;  up to Galatians 2;
--A Word devotional/commentary - Jeremiah 15:13;  great completion this week;  all 13 verses of chapter 15 started & finished;  finished all chapter 12 this week;  back into chapter 11, only 8 verses finished;  
--Monday bible study - up into John 16;
--Keyser church and Fox's Hollow church services on Sunday w/live stream;
--Thursday Hour of Prayer - worship - 'the fear of the Lord" study for incorporating into prayer life, there are over 400 of these in Scripture;  confession - finished up Ezekiel 23 this past week;  petitions, supplications - epidemics;
--Pastors Prayer - 1st & 3rd Sundays of every month at 6 PM;

100 HOURS OF PRAYER - DEC. 2023

Prayer Email - 100 Hours of Prayer for SBC - III

Greetings, "men ought always to pray, and not to faint."  Luke 18:1  In the last month, we have had a Solemn Assembly for our local churches; followed by '100 Hours of Prayer' for the local churches & many of you, my prayer partners on this prayer email joined us.  And now we come to this last protracted time of prayer, 100 Hours of Prayer for SBC.  God sets His people to pray for His purposes and His will to be done.  And yet, prayer is hard to find among the churches today.  Many know they should pray, but refuse to make time.  Many desire to pray better, but have no teaching on how to pray.  Neither are they around seasoned prayer warriors that can impart what they have learned.  And much of the evil and wickedness of today in our nation, cities and homes, is because, we, as God's people have ceased praying.
