PASTORS RESPONSE TO RECENT EVENTS IN OUR PUBLIC SCHOOL IN MINERAL COUNTY

A RESPONSE FROM LOCAL PASTORS & CHURCHES REGARDING TRANSGENDER ISSUE WITHIN OUR SCHOOL SYSTEM:

We understand that in recent weeks, an ongoing issue has been raised in our local high school, Keyser High.  This is not the first such incident in our county, state or community.   A female, in recent months has taken up the 'fad' of our society to identify as a male.  And has pushed for her rights to use the 'Men's Bathroom".   We understand that the high school administration has worked to accommodate her and others that identify as transgenders, by offering another bathroom for their use.  They have  refused that, in order to push their agenda, contrary to efforts to mediate this controversy.

We, as local pastors, and churches have had to watch such choices, court cases and legislation that supports all that which is contrary to God's Word, God's ways and God's will, and continues to advance in our nation, states, counties and cities such sin.    These things do not deter us from voicing that which is clearly taught in Scriptures, and we hold true to that in our Christian faith.   Legal precedence has been set in the federal court case of Grim vs. Gloucester BOE.  Where the Supreme Court refused to hear the case, thus rendering the rights to a transgender.  The right of one, over the many.   But this ruling does not deter our rights of religious freedom; and our rights of free speech.

We adhere to the Word of God, as it teaches us, sets the example of our daily living and choices.   It has already addressed these sinful choices of our nation and society.  Regardless of courts, legislation and individual preferences of choice, God has already declared what is right and wrong.    God has declared in the Word of God how we are to live and what is good and evil for us.  And as followers and believers in Christ, we do not dispute His authority, but yield and surrender to it.  We preach, teach and declare it, in order that men may know the truth.   This truth is what sets men free from sin.

These sinful choices, are done by sinful men and women.  For we are all sinners, fallen from God's glory and in need of His Divine redemption and salvation.  God the Father has given us His only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to die for our sins, grant to us reconciliation with God.   Christian salvation is to die to self, and live for Christ.   Die to the ways of this sinful world, that embraces evil, chooses sin and follows hells commands and mandates.   Christ has taught us the good and right way in Him and through Him and to this we follow and obey.

These choices are choosing to go against God and His Word.  To go against God, ushers a response from God.  The many judgements on our nation is a direct response from God to our nation and society for the vast majority rejecting Him and choosing hell,  rejecting good and choosing evil; rejecting Christ and choosing Satan.   This nation offers men, women and children to make that choice.  God offered every person the right to choose Whom/who they will serve.   And our freedoms allows for us to express these truths that has been adhered to in our nation from its very existence with Christians entering into covenant with God at Plymouth Rock.   For 400 years, this covenant is honored by Christians serving Him, and God watching out and over our nation.

But when a nation, a community, a family or an individual rejects that covenant and dishonors God, there is a price to pay.  Never have we seen our nation in such chaos and disarray.   Such choices, where men reject the good and allow the evil, they add to this chaos.   Somewhere along the way we are held in contempt by God and made to answer for our allowance of the one over the many.   Know, that there is still time to repent of this evil and choose the good.  Yea, even today God offers us a moment in time to consider our choices and return to Him, before it is too late.  We pray for and encourage all these that have chosen sin, to turn to the Jesus Christ and receive Him as Lord and Savior.  He will help us, cleanse us and forgive us.   But if you allow these choices to stand and continue, know that God will set Himself against us.    Choose you this day Who you will serve.   But as for me, and these pastors and fellow Christians we will serve the Lord God and our Savior Jesus Christ.

We will continue to speak God's truth over these matters.  We will continue to pray for all involved.   We will continue to minister to our community, schools and families.  We will continued to serve God.

Until,
