Prayer Email - August 13

 Greetings,
"And the tables were the work of God, and the writing was the writing of God, graven upon the tables. . . he saw the calf, and the dancing:  And Moses anger waxed hot, and he cast the tables out of his hands, and brake them beneath the mount.. . . And the Lord said unto Moses, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first:  and I will write upon these tables the words that were in the first tables, which thou brakest."    Exodus32:15 - 34:1

Two points here for God to speak to us: 1.  God's work; 2.  God's word.   A true Christian is ever a lover of God's word, and God's work.  They know that they work hand in hand for God's kingdom come and His will to be done.  Yet, we see in this passage that Moses destroyed the work of God, the tables due to his anger at the peoples sins.  The next time God called for him to come up to Him, he made Moses do the work of God, to make the tables, and God would write the Word of God upon it.  A very unique unfolding here.  When God says, 'You do My work for My word.'  Herein is the call of the Christian and the church to set forth to speak, preach, teach and share God's word for His work to be done. 

God's work, done with God's word is the highest work done.  Much like creation in Genesis, there was no men to put their filthy paws upon it to destroy it or corrupt it.  Humanism is our greatest enemy today within the church.  We always have to put our hands upon God's glory with our methods, means and madness.   But there are many, that understand this truth and having heard and known of real revivals in days gone by, we seek the highest form of Christianity today, God's manifest Presence.  Real revival, is the purest point of God's work with God's word that we can experience on this earth.   It is as close to this comparison of Moses and God that we can experience.

Largely, for the Christian world, revival is unknown and unsought.   Always with the latest gidgets and gadgets to advance God's work, they largely fail to seek God Himself alone.  When all we really need is God.  Is He alone, not sufficient enough?  Yes, He is.   And it is our responsibility in this most troubled hour to seek and find Him like never before.  God says, "I sought for man. . . " to do My work and know and proclaim My word.  Are you one that God can find seeking and finding Him?   Are you willing to wait upon Him to do His work and His word through HIs will?  Or are you impatient and unwilling to wait upon the Lord, and come up and rise up to do something. 

What a Divine moment!  God's work of the table, and God's finger to pen God's word to God's people for God's purpose.  Brethren, the church is God's work, saved by God's word, to do God's work in God's will and ways.   Count it all joy to be a part of this great work of God.  Yield yourself to God's word to be the vessel of honor that God's work can be done through you and in you for His glory.  Far too many do not operate according to God's word and thus God's work is 'given an occasion against Him'.  Be not one of these, but yield to God.  And in this time of our greatest need for God to work, let us do it His way, according to His word.  God changes not, His will, ways, work and word have not changed.  The latest fads and fashions will avail nothing, we need God's work and word to be done in souls, minds and hearts.

For our greatest battle is for the minds and hearts of men.  True salvation of the soul is done by God's work of grace and redemption, upon them hearing of God's word proclaimed and taught 'rightly dividing the Word for His honor and glory.   'Godly sorrow unto repentance' is what I pray for lost souls; genuine salvation of death to self, life to Christ and obedience for all our days is what I pray.   For I have seen and heard of far too many that had not repentance, let alone godly sorrow unto it.  And far too many made a decision but never a yieldedness.  And these souls have since left the church, left their decision and now live for the world and for self.  God's work, God's word produces, what Duncan Campbell said of the Hebrides revival, of those souls that came to Christ, 'we know nothing of backsliding'.  Ah, brethren, is this not the better way.  Let us seek God's work, God's word, God's way.  

Time is an issue my brethren.  Things are happening rapidly, and I know not how all this will work out in these last hours.  A world to still be reached; nations and people need the Gospel.  The church largely lethargic and lazy toward His kingdom come and will be done.  WE need His power and Presence to do His work.   He will help us, when we do it rightly.   Be ever a lover of His word and know it and read it and study it, for therein is found His will and ways of doing His work.  The combination is true.  Lord, Thy will be done!

VISION 2025
1.  500 new missionaries - they average 250 per year; 125 will be needed over the 4 years to hit 500; & after you count those that retire and return home, attrition - Total - 425 per year;
2.  $125 million to be raised and given;
3.  5000 new churches started in North America;
4.  Age 18 and younger to reached with a spiritual awakening; 
5.  Calling out the called to rise and go and serve in ministry - pastors, teachers, prayer warriors, and missionaries;

BROKEN BEFORE THE THRONE - joining other pastors for Sunday evening prayer; working on writings; No other updates.

PRAYER TARGETS:
1.  Drugs/Alcohol - death, dying and destruction upon so many individuals, families, churches and communities;

2.  Children -  first school shooting of the year in New Mexico;  pray for deliverance, protection and help in Christ and through Christ against abuse, neglect and impact of hell's agenda; 

3.  LGBT - local county Board of ED approves transgender recognition for sports and bathrooms; this advancement is going to usher in complete anarchy; continue agendas in city ordinances and any where else they can advance this abomination;

4.  Natural Disasters -  west is under extreme drought; wild fires continue; tropical storm fizzled out, but Grace is now coming later in this week to Florida and Gulf Coasts; earthquakes - there were 3 7.0 or greater within this one week, I do not know that that has ever happened.  And there was a 6.9 in Alaska, which is very close to 4, unprecedented!   

5.  Pestilence - Monkey pox in US has stopped, praying it has passed; covid stats are over 150,000 cases per day; deaths are over 500 daily, but still down compared to before; unclear of other variants as the variant out of Peru;  STD's over 2 million cases; and an Ebola strain in west Africa, the first time since 2005, very contagious and spreading and very deadly;

6.  Great Evil - 500 homicides murders in the last week; another police officer, 3 for August; mass shooting, after slowing down are now back up to 2 per day; murder-suicides are down, and only averaging 1 per day; Suicides;

7.  Economy - its all coming down; collapse is setting up; watching markets and IMF actions to new world set;

--bible readings, up through Leviticus5; marking the 'fear of the Lord' verses;
--The Activity of God - up through Luke 20;
--A Word, Jeremiah 7, finished starting all verses, only 10 verses to finish out of 34, 24 complete; Very compelling chapter for our plight and place today;  starting into chapter 8;
--Thursday Hour of Prayer - have continued to teach and give Scriptures, prayer targets and means to pray an hour before the Lord in our secret closet;
--Pastors Prayer on Sunday nights, 1st and 3rd Sunday evenings at Emmanuel church; live streaming and seeking to build community church corporate prayer life;

100 HOURS OF PRAYER - DEC. 2023

Prayer Email - 100 Hours of Prayer for SBC - III

Greetings, "men ought always to pray, and not to faint."  Luke 18:1  In the last month, we have had a Solemn Assembly for our local churches; followed by '100 Hours of Prayer' for the local churches & many of you, my prayer partners on this prayer email joined us.  And now we come to this last protracted time of prayer, 100 Hours of Prayer for SBC.  God sets His people to pray for His purposes and His will to be done.  And yet, prayer is hard to find among the churches today.  Many know they should pray, but refuse to make time.  Many desire to pray better, but have no teaching on how to pray.  Neither are they around seasoned prayer warriors that can impart what they have learned.  And much of the evil and wickedness of today in our nation, cities and homes, is because, we, as God's people have ceased praying.
