PRAYER EMAIL - MAY 29;

 Greetings,

"And he said, Hear ye now, O house of David; Is it a small thing for you to weary men, but will ye weary my God also?"  Isaiah 7:13
"Ye have wearied the Lord with your words, Yet ye say, Wherein have we wearied Him?  when ye say, Every one that doeth evil is good in the sight of the Lord, and He delighteth in them; or, Where is the God of judgement?"  Malachi 2:17

In confession of sin, corporately and secret closet, you don't hear this specific sin confessed or repented of much.  "Father, forgive me/us that we have wearied you."   In Isaiah and Malachi we have the verses that details when God's creation, man, weary Him.  It is one thing to weary men, but it is no small thing to weary God.   And then in Malachi 1:13 and 2:17, it is set forth again of God's people wearying Him in their standards, ways and doings.

Very specific it is in Malachi 1:13, 'Ye said also, Behold what a weariness is it! and ye have snuffed at it, saith the Lord of Hosts;. . . "   The very things of God of worship, sacrifice and offerings, the table of the Lord is profaned by their spirit of self, sloth and sin.   They despise the things of God, that would draw us closer to Him; and crave the things of the world that pushes away from God.   for us in this day, it is the 4 spiritual discipline pillars of:1. bible; 2. prayer; 3.  church; and 4. soul witnessing.   Listen to the body of Christ, oh, how they generally complain "what a chore it is"; 'how boring"; 'do I have to do these things?'   They weary the Lord  with their hard hearts and fleshly lifestyles.   Have them have a two hour prayer meeting and they express its cruel and unusual punishment; have them go to a ball game or movie for two hours, its delightful, entertaining and fun.   See and hear the guilt among us; we weary God!    And because it is such a unpleasant thing to do, they simply have removed it from their lifestyle.   This is the reason corporate prayer meetings have languished; this is the reason that we have to 'a year of the bible', because they have forsaken the reading/studying/meditating on God's Word; this is the reason they bribe people to come to church with gifts, food, entertainment and such things.   Our ways declare how we have wearied Him in our Christian practices.   For far too many Christianity is no sufficient nor satisfying, it must be laced with worldly enjoyments.

Thank God for those that are more eternally minded, spirit sensitive and God fearing.  For those that they give themselves to prayer, to bible and to service to Him.   It is not a chore, or weary to them; but is pure joy and pleasure to honor Him and speak to Him and of Him.   But these are the few, not the whole.  I believe it brings us back to what so many have said, 'If we was to have a true revival fall upon the North American church, we would have 90% actually come to Christ in true salvation.

And what shall we say of the confession of Malachi chapter 2 - when it is declared, 'Ye have wearied the LORD'.   It is a sure thing; not supposedly.  and then they have the audacity to ask, 'wherein have we wearied God?'   And God answers, 'by saying that which is evil is good; and in the sight of the Lord He delights in it.'   Woe to those that seek to call evil, good; and good, evil.   And then further pronounce that those that practice these abominations and choose to disobey God openly and frowardly, that God loves everyone, and God won't condemn anyone.   That God would bless that which He has already condemned is a weariness to Him.    A clear pronunciation form the pulpits and the prayer meetings should be that we have wearied God with condoning and allowing and compromising with abominations and sin that provokes God's anger and fury.

Where is the prayer meeting that calls upon to God to forgive these specific sins?  where is God's people that weep and mourn over a nation, family and churches that play with the world, rather than condemn the world?   Where is the pulpit bathed in tears and saturated with Gospel preaching of holiness and righteousness and faithfulness?      We have wearied God, as God's people, in God's house, on God's day.   Is there any lamentation for this sin?
