SBC PRAYER INVITE

 Greetings,

Our nation is in its greatest peril against the Lord.  Remedial judgements are happening so fast, one can barely keep up with them all.  Yet, the church continues to struggle to respond, recover from covid shutdowns and prevail before God.   We, as the church, as Southern Baptists, are in our greatest need for God's Presence and power.   You are being asked to join in calling to Southern Baptists to a continued prayer before the Lord.  The hour is very late for our nation, and we are commanded by the Lord, in such times, to seek Him with great fervency and urgency.   

We are looking at setting forth a day of prayer, via live stream.  We have discussed the lack of SBC to cooperate and join outside groups for such moments.   Therefore, let us seek to set before SBC this opportunity to seek the Lord; 'who knows if He will turn and repent and leave a blessing behind Him.'   But to continue to allow things, 'as is,'  is completely unacceptable.   As I have shared with each of you, I am not willing to get on the other side of God's cataclysmic judgement that paralyses our nation and 'removes our candlestick' as the North American church, and wish that I would have done more.  Our hour and time is now, to respond rightly before Him.   It is Joel 1 & 2.   

What am I proposing?

April 24 - Saturday - full day of prayer;   

Time 9 AM  - 9 PM;   3 session - morning  - 9 - 12;  1 - 4 PM  and 6 - 9 PM

Means - streamyard - live stream to reach via church websites, social media, and record;

Purpose - to set before SBC the great need of this hour to return to houses of prayer, to a people of prayer, for this hour of need for the church and the kingdom;

How - gather roughly 10 - 15 prayer leaders to set forth the Word of the Lord and lead in prayer times for that Word brought forth;  each speaker to have 30 - 40 minutes;

It is only a month away, but it can be done and set forth.  But I need your help and support to join and participate.   We will seek to promote across each SBC venue that we can and call the churches, pastors and prayer ministries to join.   Let me know if you are willing to join me for this time.

Prayer Email - 100 Hours of Prayer for SBC - III

Greetings, "men ought always to pray, and not to faint."  Luke 18:1  In the last month, we have had a Solemn Assembly for our local churches; followed by '100 Hours of Prayer' for the local churches & many of you, my prayer partners on this prayer email joined us.  And now we come to this last protracted time of prayer, 100 Hours of Prayer for SBC.  God sets His people to pray for His purposes and His will to be done.  And yet, prayer is hard to find among the churches today.  Many know they should pray, but refuse to make time.  Many desire to pray better, but have no teaching on how to pray.  Neither are they around seasoned prayer warriors that can impart what they have learned.  And much of the evil and wickedness of today in our nation, cities and homes, is because, we, as God's people have ceased praying.
