Prayer Email - 3/23/21

 Greetings,

"My bowels, my bowels!  I am pained at my very heart; my heart maketh a noise in me; I cannot hold my peace, because thou hast heard, O my soul, the sound of the trumpet, the alarm of war."  Jeremiah 4:19

Currently, I am in Jeremiah 4 for this section, verses 19 - 31 for the conclusion of my, A Word blog - devotional/commentary.   And with the most recent happenings in our nation and world wide happenings, one should sit up and take notice.  For over a decade, I have measured and identified the remedial judgements on our nation, churches, homes and the minds and hearts of men.   These remedial judgements started out as 1 or two per month, or just a couple annually.  But, as our sins continued and deepened through legislation and judicial edicts, the stats increased drastically.   the church largely argued about whether this was even judgement of God or not; and those that did identify it as God's hand against us, only moved slightly to seek Him for prayer of 'in wrath remember mercy'.   With all that we have seen in this century alone, I wonder what it will take for the North American church to finally humble itself and seek Him like Joel 1 & 2 sets forth before us.

The prophet, Jeremiah, coupled with so many other prophets, had warned Judah and Jerusalem for years on what God would do if they did not repent and restore their priority of  their place to worship God and God alone.  They refused over and over.  If any warning should have been enough for them to repent, it should have been Israel and the 10 tribes, who had been removed 100 years previously; but alas, not so!   Doomed to repeat the lessons of nations, and men;  are we not there?  Doomed to repeat the high offence against God and reap His wrath, anger and fury, all because we did not know Him, His ways nor His Word.  That which is happening on our nation and within the minds and hearts of men, is the same repeat behavior and choices of heathen men, who rejected the Lord God before.   

God warned of of the nation coming with an army who would make them desolate and decimate the cities and land.  Now the trumpet is sounded, and Jeremiah knows the end is near.  And all that is within him, laments and grieves.  That which he had heard from the Lord, now his eyes would behold it.  Out of his bowels, his very heart sorrows for what is getting ready to happen, all because they would not listen.  They have ears, but they will not hear; they have the 'take heed' but they stiffened their necks and refused to obey.   And God goes on this passage of verses to warn of the other outcomes for their choice to rebel against Him.  In verse 20 - "destruction upon destruction'; in verse 22 - "but to do good, they have no knowledge"; and in verse 27 - "the whole land shall be desolate".  

Now brethren, answer me this -  across our nation, in every church, in every family, in every part of society; who is not touched with the curse of drugs and alcohol?  who is not touched by suicides and murder-suicides?  who is not touched by affliction and death of covid?   who is not touched by broken marriages, homes and families?   And if it is not there now; shortly it shall be everywhere.  For we have heard the warnings of years; and now we hear the trumpet of God's wrath blowing.   God stretches out His right hand against us, and not for us;  He stretches out His right hand to judge us, to curse us, not to bless us.    Do you realize what is happening, even now?   Do you know what the next step of our nation will look like?   

Such knowledge of God, the same yesterday, today and tomorrow, would compel us to say the same God of Jeremiah 4, is the same God for today in our nation.  Has it not already begun with record, historic stats of death, dying and destruction?   
--70,000 annual drug overdose deaths;
--80,000  alcohol related deaths:
--25,000 - 30,000 suicides annually;
--60,000 homicides on our streets and homes;

Staggering stats of death.  So much so that we are now dying faster than births.   This coupled with 60 million abortions, removes an entire generation from our midst.   Is there not a cause of lamentable heart cry?  "My bowels, my bowels. . . .piercing in the depths of my heart" for what we have chosen; for what we are reaping; for what . . . could have been.  Where is the brokenness and contrition of the church for these things?   Must we be doomed to have as our anthem, Keith Green's son, 'My Eyes are Dry"?   Oh, that we may weep and sorrow for what is upon us and what will be.  For we, especially as the church, have not sought the heart and mind of God for these things.  A lamentable cry is necessary for what we are facing.   where is the Joel 1 & 2, 'mourn, weep, howl'?  Show me that altar; show me that prayer room of a small group or corporate setting; for I will join them.  That is our place right now.  

We can't go on in this life of the work of the church, without the Presence of God and power of God upon us.   Our humanistic programs and methods have only deepened the crisis and epidemics.  It is time to seek the Lord; break up the fallowed ground and wait before Him, to see if HE will return and repent and leave a blessing behind Him for our sake and His glory Name sake.    Time is an issue; for we are out of time.  And our response should meet the calamity that is happening, but what? even now!

"America's Prayer Meeting" - March 15 - 16
Great success in what took place to assemble so many of the remnant that sees our plight and knows that prevailing prayer is the answer.   But far too many missed out on this; either due to our failure to promote so that might know about it or their obstinate choice to reject it and dismiss it.   But I am grateful for what I heard and saw during these days.   It has given me the greatest hope to see real revival and awakening before the final judgement on our land.  

There is being set a monthly response for us to continue to promote prayer among the bride of Christ, that includes all born again believers.   The day of isolation and denomational separation is over.  I don't think when we are in the concentration camps for persecution that they will house us by our denomination, just simply that we are followers and believers in Christ.   We ought to practice that now, before then.   

April 13 - 14 will be our next broadcast.  And we will help and support many venues for National Day of Prayer in May.   And in July there will plans for a nationwide call to prayer from July 4 through July 24.

--Iceland earthquakes finally reveal what was going on, volcano dormant for centuries, is now active;  
--Australia had record, historic wildfires last year, this month they are having 100 year record rainfall and flooding;
--volcanoes, all over the world are erupting;
--extreme drought conditions persist in south west of US;
--earthquakes - 7.0 or greater earthquakes for this year is at 7; and 1 8.0;   very busy time;
--3 mass murders this month; 
--Equality Act threatening to be passed, would be the greatest opening of door against our freedoms to live as a witness for Christ;  the point of no return if this is passed;
--LGBT - continued elevation and society blinded by the great wrath this is provoking unto the Lord for such choices of flesh over faith in God;

CONTINUE IN PRAYER #2 Invite Letter for 100 Hours of Prayer for SBC

 Greetings, "Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;" Colossians 4;2 We are just under one month away from our "100 Hours of Prayer for SBC". We are set to gather as many from SBC life to have a continual spirit of prayer for the work of God to be done in us and through us. The work of God does not come about by the means of men, but by prevailing prayer. Oh, that every SBC church, over 40,000 were to be powerhouses of prayer for the kingdom of God.
