PRAYER EMAIL JAN 14 - HINDER

 Greetings,

"Hinder me not, seeing the Lord hath prospered my way." - Gen. 24:56
"Let nothing, I pray thee, hinder thee from coming unto me."  - Number 22:16
"Who can hinder Him?"  - Job 9:12
"Woe unto you, lawyers. . . ye enter not in yourselves; and them that were entering in ye hindered" - Luke 11:52
"lest we should hinder the Gospel of Christ" - I Corinthians 9:12
"ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth?" - Galatians 5:7
"but Satan hindered us" - I Thessalonians 2:18
"that your prayers be not hindered" - I Peter 3:7

Most recently, in looking through one of my prayer notebooks, I came back across this word study that I wrote out.   It was the word study of 'Hinder".  Such powerful verses and focus for me to incorporate into my prayer time and for meditation.  For this focus of the word 'hinder' is a multiple side of our prayer focus and emphasis.  It is worship; it is confession; it is petition; all the points we focus on for an hour of prayer.  Here is examples of that use for prayer:

--It is the question of the saints dogmatic approach in the Lord's service, 'hinder me not, seeing the Lord has prospered my way.'   So many saints grow weary, discouraged, but the Lord has prospered my way in His service through answered prayers, Divine moments and God's purpose.   Thanksgiving is expressed since it is recognized what the Lord has done.  And I will seek for nothing to hinder me in the Lord's work, seeing He has prospered my way.  And seek it not only for thyself, but for all the Bride that nothing hinder us from finishing the task.  And forgive us for anything that has hindered us; confess and repent of it.

-- It is the two fold petition in Numbers 22:16, 'let nothing hinder thee from coming to me' as Christ bestows the invitation of salvation. Christ speaks to the lost soul, 'come to Me and let nothing hinder you'.   Good Christian, in Pilgrims' Progress, heard this same thing and was resolved with nothing else but to reach the Celestial City.   He covered his ears and ran, crying out over the pleas of those that sought to hinder him, 'Eternal life! eternal life!"   It is the flip side of this where men issue the call to let nothing hinder from coming to them; the masses of the 'white harvest' clamoring for someone to come and preach the Word of Christ to them, 'let nothing hinder you from coming to me' so that I might hear the Good News of Christ Jesus.

--It is the powerful question, requiring an answer from us, in Job 9:12, "Who can hinder the Lord?"   And with great faith, absolute resolve we declare in worship and praise, 'There is none that can hinder the Lord."   That which He speaks, that which He gestures, there is none that stop or deter Him for His purposes.

--It is the condemnation of Christ upon the religious in Luke 11:52, 'you do not enter heaven; and those seeking to enter you hinder; woe unto you!'    What an indictment from our Lord!    Anytime He pronounces Woe upon a person or people, it is needful to seek to whom He is speaking to, and to what He is addressing for their sin and folly.  And our prayers and focus on those that are seeking to enter, that they be not hindered by any means of hell and Satan.

--It is the prayer for the Gospel of Christ to not be hindered in I Corinthians 9:12, "that we should not hinder the Gospel of Christ.'  This is spiritual warfare from all that seeks to hinder the Gospel of Christ.  and it is a personal examination of ourselves, have I done anything to hinder the Gospel, or to give an occasion against the Lord's work.  This is also combined with I Thess. 2:18, 'but Satan hindered us'.   And to recognize that all works of God and for God, the enemy comes against.  WE are to be engaged in praying against him and to stop thwart his activity that hinders the furtherance of God's will and ways of His kingdom come and His will be done.

--Lastly it it he combination of Gala. 5 and I PEter 3 - Something has hindered our prayer; and something has hindered our running the race set before us.   That hindering must be identified and repented of and cast forth away from us.   We cannot go on with our prayer hindered.  For in this most urgent hours, it is needful for us to prevail and overcome in Him.   Let nothing hinder thee, dear saint, in running the race and obtaining the crown set before us for His glory and honor.  That we may all cast our crowns down before Him in worship, for He is worthy.

DAY OF NATIONAL PRAYER -  most recently from Doug Small's email from Dec. 31, there is an attempt to set forth for the church to issue a day of prayer.  This call to prayer is set forth due to the certainty of our near future of God's judgement against our nation, and the powerlessness of the church to be effective witness for Him.   The desperation is rising among leaders that our only hope is Christ manifested within the body of Christ, thus REAL REVIAL.  It is seeking for a continual cry to be offered and maintained until God breaks forth the heavens and rains down on us with His mighty Spirit.     Numerous leaders and ministries are being sought to join in this united voice.

Pray for these happenings, as I am seeking to organize and set forth a day and plan to put into motion.  The urgency of the hour is so great; and the need to prevail is like never before.
