Prayer email - Cup of Wrath - CONCERT OF PRAYER

 Greetings,

"Take the wine cup of this fury at My hand, and cause all the nations, to whom I send thee, to drink it."  Jeremiah 25:15

"The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, whcih is poured out without mixture into the cup of His indignation; . . . "  Revelation 14:10

". . . to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of His wrath."  Revelation 16:19

In the book of Joel, God gives us warning and direction of what to do: "When you see these things happening (judgements), call, fast, mourn and weep."  "For who knows if God will repent and leave a blessing behind Him."   Now it is, that we have seen these things come upon our nation over the last year and years, warning us of God's wrath, fury and anger against us.   And we are now at a pivotal point of "NO RETURN".   If we do not prevail for God's mercy and favor, we will reap God's destruction and desolation.   The Concert of Prayer is an attempt to gather the body of Christ together, to seek Him, 'that in wrath He would remember mercy".   

It is that God has sent His Divine Presence in days gone by to those that embraced and employed Concerts of Prayer.     Great hopes of revival and spiritual awakening always made me hungry to see God's Manifest Presence.   To hear of revivals, men and women that walked through those glorified days has been one of my few great joys in this earth.  Yet the failure of the nation and the church, yea and my own life, has been my greatest sorrow, grief and lamentation.   Every moment pushes us to this cup of wrath that we read in the Scriptures.  There comes a day, when God says, not one more drop of iniquity will the cup have, it must be poured out.  And when that cup of wrath is full of God's indignation, wrath, fury and anger, He unleashes it upon the people.   And that is unleashed on saint and sinner.   

And as we have seen the remedial judgements of God, increase over the last 20 years, to more frequent happenings, to regular happenings, weekly/daily happenings and finally to EPIDEMIC proportions; all along, my soul cried out within - PREVAIL.  Prevail for God's Holy Ghost to fall upon His church and reclaim what we are missing.  A power filled people with the Presence of God - PREVAIL.  Prevail against the works of evil in the minds and hearts of men, prevail against addictions; prevail against evil on our streets, and in our homes -- PREVAIL.   

For if we do not prevail, then know that God's cup of wrath is full and ready to be poured out on our nation.   And no matter what we have seen in the last months, weeks, and years, it is uncompared to what we will see in the new year.   That state of urgency and desperation upon my mind, heart and soul, I cannot convey enough.    And therefore with another attempt to gather before the Lord with the remnant we will do at the close of this month.  

Two things that I have centered in on that I see God's mercy and grace:  the proclamation of the Word and protracted time periods of prayer.   In these two things, that have been consistent over the centuries to prevail with God.   Now God is limited nor restrained to abide by anything that I deem; no, it is what He will do.    And thus, I seek to do whatever His Spirit leads me to do to prevail in this hour.   I have not heard from God yet, 'PRay not for this people".   Not yet, but I know soon that is coming, if there is not a spirit of prevailing for His favor.    Therefore, resign yourself to seek Him like never before.   I will do whatever I can to "unload" the cup of wrath in confession and repentance.  I will do whatever I can to seek Him 'in wrath to remember mercy".  I will plead for His Divine will to be done, because I know the certainty, 'Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?"   

PROJECTS:

1.  100 Hours of Prayer - Dec. 28 - Jan. 1;   Take a 1/2 hour slot or a full hour slot.  Write and contact me to tell me what day(s) and what hour.  Tell me whether it is for 1/2 hour or full hour.   WE will pencil your name in.   Around the middle of the month, we will try to post with hours not taken yet.   Thank you for those that have been faithful to step up and take hours already.  We have around 30 hours filled already.    Prayer focus to be considered is the form of our Concerts of Prayer - worship - confession and petition.   For each of these 3 sections take 20 minutes and that will fill your hour before the Lord.  But our emphasis is on the state of our nation and the state of the church.   Plead and prevail for revival upon the church and spiritual awakening among the masses of our population.   All to do 1 thing, "finish the task" of reaching the nations for Christ.   

2.  CONCERT OF PRAYER - Dec. 27 & Dec. 28;   This will be a live stream time of proclamation of the Word and leading prevailing prayer.   We will have an afternoon session 1 - 4 PM and an evening session - 6 - 9 PM (EST).    Each speaker will have 90 minutes to bring the Word and then lead us in prayer.    Speakers so far are:  Doug Small, Carter Conlon, Kevin Jessip, David Ford;    Pray for these men - promote this needed time of prayer - and make plans to participate and join us. 

This Concert of Prayer will be an added boost for us to start off our 100 Hour of Prayer.   It is to finish the year strong, so we may begin the new year strong in the Lord.   Pray so as to prevail!!

--live streams continue for church services on Sunday; Monday night bible study - and Thursday Hour of Prayer;

CONTINUE IN PRAYER #2 Invite Letter for 100 Hours of Prayer for SBC

 Greetings, "Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;" Colossians 4;2 We are just under one month away from our "100 Hours of Prayer for SBC". We are set to gather as many from SBC life to have a continual spirit of prayer for the work of God to be done in us and through us. The work of God does not come about by the means of men, but by prevailing prayer. Oh, that every SBC church, over 40,000 were to be powerhouses of prayer for the kingdom of God. Truly such a spirit of prayer would enrich the church to accomplish much of the kingdoms business around the world.
