BBTT - PRAYER PROJECTS FOR END OF YEAR

 Greetings,

"Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;"  Colossians 4:2
"Pray without ceasing"  I Thessalonians 5:17

Elections remain unsure, covid continues to impact communities and our nation/world, and the holidays of Thanksgiving and Christmas are rapidly approaching to bring us to the end of this year.   If there was ever a time to get serious regarding the Lord's work, it is now.  We cannot continue as the church without a Divine outpouring of His Spirit in power to combat the evils of this world.    It is a time to set our agendas and lay out a path to promote prayer for all these things.   Our two main ministry goals are:  1.  to make the church, houses of prayer - "My house shall be called a house of prayer"; 2.  to help make God's children to be men and women of prayer.   "If two of you shall agree as touching anything here on earth, it shall be done."

1.  100 Hours of Prayer - December 28 - January 1;   AS we did this last year, it is as needful this year, if not more so.   You are being asked to take an 1/2 hour or an hour time slot during these 100 straight hours of prayer.   We will begin on MOnday, December 28, 8 AM (EST) and go straight through into the new year, January 1, until Noon (EST).   Pray now, and plan to see how the Lord will direct you during these days.  Our prayer target is to pray specifically for the nation and the state of the church.    We will follow up to bring this to your attention again before Thanksgiving to hopefully have most of our slots filled going into December.   Any questions or issues contact me.   Please help us promote this project.

2.   Concerts of Prayer -  which consists of 2 points:  the first Tuesday of each month a day of fasting and prayer for the state of the church and our nation; and secondly, somewhere within that first week a time for small group or corporate prayer for these two prayer targets.  The prayer time we have worked to help people pray an hour through 3 sections - Worship, Confession and Petitions.   We have been consistent with this at my 2 churches.  And last year, several churches within the WVCSB joined us.  Not many joined, but it was called for across the convention.  We also sought other state conventions to call for it.   We will do so again across the SBC.

Until,
Dan
