WHEN FIRE COMES - PRAYER EMAIL

 Greetings,
". . . and the glory of the Lord appeared unto all the people.  And there came a fire out from before the Lord, and consumed upon the altar the burnt offering the fat:  which when all the people saw, they shouted, and fell on their faces. . . . And there went out fire from the Lord, and devoured them, and they died before the Lord."   Leviticus 9:23 - 24; 10:1 - 2

REVIVAL OR JUDGEMENT?

God declares of His Own self, "I am a Consuming Fire".  And we see the use of fire throughout Scripture in multiple ways.  It is the fire of God that should draw out attention, for it is very significant.  The last 2 verses of Leviticus 9 and the first 2 verses of chapter 10 shows us the contrast of God's fire.  We see in 4 verses, 2 instances of God sending fire in direct contrast.   The first fire comes to receive the sacrifice on the altar unto God.  God's glory was there; 'and the glory of the Lord appeared'.   The second fire came in a complete 180 difference, God consumed the two sons of Aaron for their sin in offering strange fire.  One fire comes to show God's glory; the other fire comes to consume.   

We can easily contrast this into the question that is upon our nation and upon the church of North America -- Revival or Judgement?   Now, yes, as I and many others teach and share, we are already under judgement of God.  But the levels of remedial judgements are an act of God's mercy to turn us and draw us back to Him.  But final judgement, severe judgement, changes the people, so as to never return to that which they once knew.  Such judgements are upon our nation right now, and are forever changing it that we may never experience what we once knew and grew up with.  A nation changed completely toward evil and sins, God giving us over to greater sins.   IN Ezekiel 22, God says, that because of the blood shed in the land, the idols, He is forgotten and His ways are profaned, and God allows for them to grossly defile everything, so that He may bring forth final judgement.  Revival is no where to be heard or seen in this unfolding.  This determinant end of our nation I do not want to experience.  

Yet, as many look upon this past Saturday of 'The Return' they see the greatest hope and opportunity that has arisen in most recent years, yea decades to return to God.   The remnant recognizes the signs of the times, and the great evil of men.   And it is causing the church to finally shed their humanism to find a solution and realize 'that if God doesn't bless us and help us then there is no blessing or help to be found.'   For too long the church has sought humanism as a means and methods of doing church.   The power of God is largely absent, the knowledge of God is forfeited.  And a remnant host is realizing all this and it is building a desperation.  That one voice, cry coming forth from them -'We need You, God.  Just You.'     And this is very encouraging.  

But let me ask, with the blessedness that everyone, that I have seen and heard from about this past Saturday -- 'why did it take us so long to do this?'    Scripture has always been clear on what we was to do.  Men, as church leaders and prayers leaders heard it, from me and others, this was what we was to do.  I gave an impassioned cry 8 years ago for SBC to call for it; but was ruled out of order on it.  Then why, so long in bringing it forth?  Why so reluctant to obey?   Why must we always wait to the last hour/minute to respond of turning to God?  It is much like a time in my area a few years ago;  drought conditions were upon much of the nation.  OUr area was being hit hard.  And I asked the church leaders and prayer leaders, 'will you wait until there's no water before you finally call for a prayer meeting?  Call now before we run out of water.'   They listened, and within 24 hours of that prayer meeting held by our little city, God sent rain.   Praise His Name!!

But I have seen this over and over.  God can send fire for blessings or fire to consume.   Must we wait to the fires of consuming us is so great, before we do what we was supposed to be doing all along?   Why does it always have to be this way?  I call this preventive prayer and preventive actions; in the hopes of staving off God's fire to consume us.   And in stead to see God in His Sovereign grace and mercy, send a fire of Holy Ghost power - Revival.    And if we would see revival, there must be a renewed resolve by the church to realize that what happened Saturday was right.  But it is not 'one and done'.  Simply pat ourselves on our backs that we did it.  But realize that we have not obtained revival fire yet; and the consuming fire is still raging, much like the CA fires.    

This much is certain and we ought to understand this truth; that if we do not prevail for Revival fire from God, we will see consuming fire from God.   Time is up.   The judgements of severity tell us this; we are so close to society collapse, morality collapse, economic collapse and world war that most are oblivious to these things.   And it may be that these things are ushered in; but God's fire will fall one way or another.   But let us seek REvival fire like never before.   I renew my calls to embrace the 'Concerts of Prayer' to fast and pray corporately.   

1.  Fast on the first Tuesday of each month for our nation and the state of the church.
2.   Within that first week, the church to gather for corporate prayer in Worship - Confession - Petition.

I have pleaded and wrote and shared this for years now.   This was what Jonathan Edwards did in revival fires that came to Scotland and the our nations' First Great Awakening.   Seek Revival fire while we still can.   Embrace a continued promotion at 'An humble attempt to promote explicit agreement and visible union of God's people in extraordinary prayer for revival. . . "  And in our pursuits, priorities and plans it will determine whether we receive:  The Fire of God for blessings and revival; or the Fire of God for curses and judgement.   Chose you this day!

The hour is late; the need is great. Pray so as to prevail.

PRAYER TARGETS:
EPIDEMICS

1.  Drugs/Alcohol -   I have heard that due ot the covid, deaths have been higher, but i have not seen an actual report or stat sheet.   There has been no moderation on this, only promotion and encouragement for our society to embrace, legalize and permit.  It is our death sentence, with 70,000 annual drug deaths, and 80,000 alcohol related deaths; 

2.  LGBT - continued advance in society via laws & judicial edicts;  latest is CA gov. signs prisoners will be assigned to prison that the prisoner sex they identify with;   laws of this abomination still in place; church is viewed as evil for speaking God's truth; parents and family view this evil as good and promote and support this abomination among us;   'when they call good, evil; and evil, good';

3.  Natural Disasters - CA, continues to burn in historic, record wildfire; flooding clean up and rebuild in LA, MS and gulf coast continues from tropical storms;  earthquakes have been quiet; the last 7.0 was 7/22, which puts us as we enter October two months behind;  due any time;  the 8.0 has been on a pattern of every 12 months we have one;  the last one was 5/26/19, so we are 16 months, 4 months overdue;   

4.  Children - pressing to see how many children victimized and abused during these months of covid;  attempts at abductions, including Joe Montana, San FRan QB's grandchild, they thwarted it;  this past week, amber alert, child found and recovered safe; sex trafficking; an entire generation raised in abuse, stripped of innocence, naiveness;  high percentage of abused become abusers;

5.  Plagues - covid reaches 1 million deaths world wide; over 200,000 deaths in US: continued cancers, STD record historic stats; alzheimer's/dementia;  

6.  Great Evil - mass shootings at 60 for Sept.  thats 2 a day; only 1 mass murder, but there is a situation in Oregon waiting to hear reports;  murder-suicides are at 43 for SEpt.   thats about 1 and 1/2 per day; 

UPDATES:
--The Activity of God - up through Ezekiel 22, hit page 900 in bible, leaving 423;  that's about 2 years remaining;
--A Word blog - finished all verses in Isaiah 66; chapter 65, 9 verses remain to finish; chapter 63, 64 are already all done;  then back to chapter 62 to finish these;  unsure of how soon before I start Jeremiah;
--sermons from Sunday uploaded and live streamed;   Monday night bible study have done 2 weeks of balancing live stream with live group, a little challenging;   Thursday night Hour of Prayer is just live streamed;

--entering into October is World Hunger on the 2nd Sunday, gifts collected to send to BGR;
--strive for the remaining 3 months of this year to finish well;  obtain and maintain;

100 HOURS OF PRAYER - DEC. 2023

Prayer Email - 100 Hours of Prayer for SBC - III

Greetings, "men ought always to pray, and not to faint."  Luke 18:1  In the last month, we have had a Solemn Assembly for our local churches; followed by '100 Hours of Prayer' for the local churches & many of you, my prayer partners on this prayer email joined us.  And now we come to this last protracted time of prayer, 100 Hours of Prayer for SBC.  God sets His people to pray for His purposes and His will to be done.  And yet, prayer is hard to find among the churches today.  Many know they should pray, but refuse to make time.  Many desire to pray better, but have no teaching on how to pray.  Neither are they around seasoned prayer warriors that can impart what they have learned.  And much of the evil and wickedness of today in our nation, cities and homes, is because, we, as God's people have ceased praying.
